Episode 8 - SHEWOLF (France)
When I first met SHEWOLF in Germany about 1 year ago in Germany, at AK44 Giessen, when we played our first show together, we were not talking much. Not for a certain reason but just because we didn´t know eachother, meeting for the first time, 6 bands playing at one venue this evening - it was a heavy night to speak up clearly.
So when I got the chance to talk to ALICE from SHEWOLF in the interview for FIGHT LIKE A GRRRL BOOKING about the founding of the band, its development, their goals and approaches to do music, the messages and lyric intentions of their songs (for example relationships, politics, nature, being a woman and being a mother...) as well as about being women in rock music, if felt happy inside as we share A LOT (beginning with the style and kind of music we like and ending with the pleasure and pain of gardening).

Episode 7 - Tape Shapes (Hamburg, GER)
Erst vor Kurzem haben sie ihr neues Album "Overload" veröffentlicht, dem viele positive Reviews voraus gingen und folg(t)en. In meiner FIGHT LIKE A GRRRL Podcast Episode 7 spreche ich mit Elena von den Tape Shapes über diese neue Veröffentlichung, sowie darüber, wie sich die Band gegründet hat, wie es ist eine Stoner Grunge Band in Hamburg zu sein, was es für zukünftige Pläne gibt, wie sie ihre Songs schreiben, wie viel Herzblut sie in ihre Live-Shows stecken und darüber wie es sich anfühlt als "Girl in a Band".

In einem kurzen, knappen Fern-Interview haben mir die 3 Bremer davon berichtet, wie sie sich kennen gelernt, wie sich die Band gegründet hat und was sie besonders macht. Der Post-Peinliche-Performance-Punk von LaTent Genervt macht nicht nur Spaß anzuhören, sondern auch mitzusingen, zu tanzen, zu lachen und nachzudenken.

Episode 5 - Passionless Pointless
In der 5. Folge des FLAG Podcast habe ich Passionless Pointless aus Berlin via Skype getroffen. Das erste Mal gibt es nun eine Folge in Englisch! In the 5th edition of my FLAG Podcast I have interviewed Passionless Pointless from Berlin (first band interview via Skype). It is also the first edition in English! We spoke about the current situation in times of COVID crisis, the debut record of the band that has been released on tape in march this year, their first two shows, upcoming new recordings, their song lyrics, that nothing is worth anything without passion, as well as about the VINYLDYKE Zine. Episode 4 - Fett & Zucker
In dieser Folge spreche ich mit „Fett & Zucker“ (Akustik fem punk) aus Leipzig. Sie haben mich zum sogenannten „Männertag“ zum FLAG- Interview auf ihren Balkon eingeladen. Und während wir das wundervolle Wetter geniessen, lärmende Anwohner und PKWs vorbeiziehen, gewähren sie mir spannende Einblicke in die Entstehung ihrer Band, die Bedeutung des Bandnamens, die Besonderheiten ihrer Instrumentenwahl und Live-Shows, sowie von ihrer tiefen Verbundenheit durch eine lange Freundschaft.
Zudem geht es um die Themen Feminismus, Schwangerschaftsabbruch, Männertag, den Podcast „Die Revolte beginnt auf Gut Holmecke“ und warum man öfter mal eine Backpfeife austeilen sollte.
Gespielt werden Ausschnitte aus ihrem One-Hit-Wonder „Bruno´s Pooh“, sowie die Songs „Abbruch“, „Vaterlandshass“ und „Trucker – innen“ in voller Länge. Zu Beginn „der Song der Woche“ - dieses Mal stammt er von Mommy Is Mental aus Österreich, mit dem Titel „Straight“.
