Interview with Josh Nicholson of Scite.AI

Interview with Josh Nicholson of Scite.AI

On the latest episode of The Library Leaders Podcast I have a an interesting conversation with Co-Founder Josh Nicholson pertaining to his popular solution Scite.ai.

Scite.ai is a platform that helps researchers better discover and evaluate scientific articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence.

Scite.ai uses artificial intelligence to determine whether scholarly articles mention, support, or contrast the claims of each cited article. Scite.ai also displays all in-text citations and distinguishes if the citation was made in the Introduction, Methods, Results, or Discussion Section.

Scite.ai helps expand research assessment beyond raw citation counts as a proxy of quality for researchers, journals, and institutions.

Here are some of the benefits of using Scite.ai:

  • Better discovery: Scite.ai makes it easier to discover relevant research articles by showing how they have been cited.
  • Improved understanding: Scite.ai helps researchers better understand the context of citations and how they support or contrast the claims of the cited article.
  • Enhanced evaluation: Scite.ai provides a more comprehensive view of the quality of research articles by showing how they have been cited and how they support or contrast the claims of other articles.

Scite.ai is a valuable tool for researchers who want to better discover, understand, and evaluate scientific articles.

Scite.ai has recently been added to the TDNet Discover platform so it was wonderful to have this conversation!
