In this week’s episode I am joined by guest Becki, and together we chat all things cohabitation dramas.

The challenge was to try and talk about dramas which we haven’t really talked about before, and for me personally to try and talk about dramas from different countries and genres, to show that the cohabitation trope can show up anywhere, and not just romance.

In this weeks episode the Drama Trio are back. We revisit the Hall of Fame series, this time by picking our inaugural class of Historical Cdramas (excluding xianxia, just straight up historicals).

This was a tough category for us, as we try to find shows we have all watched and can agree deserves one of the coveted spots on our Hall of Fame. So join us, as we chat through our picks and why they deserve a spot.

In this week’s episode we are starting a new series where Jess from the Daebak K-Rambles Podcast joins me to review movies. She’s well know for watching a lot of movies, I am well know for barely watching any - so together we will be jumping into movies.

In this first installment we review the Jmovie “Once Upon A Crime”, which the premise intrigued both of us, but the delivery fell very flat. Join us to hear our full thoughts and whether we would recommend this one or not. 

In this week’s episode the Drama Trio sit down to review the 2011 Cdrama “Scarlet Heart”. This version being the OG, and have had such popularity to warrant many remakes, one of them being the Kdrama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryo, I had always wanted to watch it first, and I am so glad I did, 

The Drama Trio really enjoyed this drama, and agree that although it is an older Cdrama it still stands the test of time with good writing, good acting and good directing.

In this week's episod I am joined by Caitlin from NoSleep4Dramas to review the 2016 Cdrama "Medical Examiner Dr Qin", staring Zhang Ruo Yun, Jiao Jun Yan and Li Xian.

This drama is part of the throw back series, happening on Tea and Soju Podcast, where I review older dramas.

Join us as we discuss the cases, what we liked and what we thought could be better. As well as the reason this could still be a good intro crime drama since it has the feel of an American show.

In this week’s episode we are taking a little detour into kdramaland to review what was my top Kdrama of 2023 “Daily Dose of Sunshine”, staring Park Bo Young, Yeon Woo Jin and Jang Dong Yoon.

This drama is certainly not for the faint of heart, as it tackles things such as war zone, depression and PTSD, but it was some of the best acting I have seen out of the 2 main leads.

So join me as I discuss what I enjoyed, and what I didn’t about The White Olive Tree.

In this weeks episode, MDL says I have finished 1000 dramas, and I feel like thats a milestone to celebrate (or maybe not sicne thats a lot of time watching TV), but regardless in thbis episode I open my MDL to talk about my elusive 5 tea cups dramas, the ones that are my eras, both in Cdramaland and Kdramaland.

This drama was highly anticipated by many, based on the novel of the same name, The First Frost follows the story of Sang Yan (the brother from Hidden Love) and his childhood love Wen Yifan. Although this cdrama runs parallel to Hidden Love, it is a different story with a much darker theme surrounding it.

In this week’s episode I sit down to review the 2025 Chinese Drama ‘Moonlight Mystique’, staring Bai Lu and Ao Ruipeng. 

This drama is a xianxia, so it should’ve have  been a slam dunk for me, but the writing left a little bit to be desired for. Even with that in mind, I still overall enjoyed the drama. So join me as I ran through what I liked, what I didn’t, and how I think this is one Bai Lu best roles, even if the drama isn’t the best.

In this weeks episode we are dipping into Kdramland. I am joined by Caitling (nosleep4dramas) and Becky (dontsuerebecca, Drama Detours), and together the 3 of us review “When The Phone Rings”, staring Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin.

This drama came to us at the end of 2024, and quickly grabbed many viewers attentions, however as the story went on, more plotholes were found, and the ending left a lot of us thinking “what the hell just happened?”

Join us as we chat great chemistry, some poor writing choices and the possibly right frame of mind to watch this drama in.
