In learning, what are we to do about students, especially that we send to the university, Christians students with biblical Christian values, will they make it? Are they in an environment that is hostile to what they believe?

In obedience to Christ’s command to ‘watch’ and ‘pray’ (Mark 13:32-37) we are observing the ongoing war in the Middle East and lining it up with Bible prophecy. This month we look at the yet-to-be-fulfilled invasion of Israel according to Psalm 83.

How will 2024 be similar or different to 2023? While we need to live in ‘healthy realism’ and not denial of what’s happening, there is some good news. There is a war going on. We learned last month that the war exists; in Part 02, we continue to learn more about this battle and what's at stake. You cannot win a war until you know the who and the what.

For the fallen world, it can be convicting, a nuisance, a foiling of the plan. Many hold a low view of truth. The attack against it is prophesied in the last days. God makes many wonderful, true, and superlative promises. Victory, peace, joy, love, and salvation. So why do we suffer especially when we're doing the right thing? 

One of the challenges of Pentecostal people have is the problem of pain and suffering. When you don't have a theology of pain and suffering, then you will be caught off-guard when it actually happens.

The 2020s have been a decade unlike anything we have seen in living memory, even surpassing the turbulent 1960s. For many people, it has caused a lot of fear and much of it is misdirected. People are afraid of global warming, environmental apocalypse, and being called pejorative names like racists, misogynists, etc. The rise of ‘wokery,’ ‘wokeism,’ or just plain ‘woke’ - now in overt overdrive - with its punitive cancel culture, causes much trepidation.

Yet, as someone put it: the only fear you need is the fear of the Lord; once attained, it will cancel out all other fears.

This was the 1973  Supreme Court decision that mandated abortions in all fifty American  states. Yet Roe was more than merely about abortion: it was probably the  first shots of a nation wide-culture war. It’s potential overturning  would cause America, and the western world, to ‘turn a corner.’

It is a familiar and welcome scene during the Christmas season, three men with a star above them and camels beneath, rowed from the east and came to visit the Christ child. This Christmas we want to explore the story of the wise men and their divinely appointed visit with the young Jesus.

How can we wisely position ourselves or the future when it comes to finances? We need to be future ready, we need to be future prepared. 

Under normal circumstances Australia's international reputation is very positive even though it's not often in global news. It has an enviable lifestyle, prosperity, peace, and freedom. That was until Covid-19 hit. Australia reacts to Covid, the world reacts to Australia. 

It was a trial that captured the attention not just of a nation but of the world. 18 year old Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted by a jury in Wisconsin for the shootings of two men and the wounding of a third. What was going on in all of this?

In many ways, the fourth commandment is a wonderful thing. It is meant to be benign, beneficial, and refreshing. It is God's way of telling you in short, to take a rest in the busy beehive-world we live in, what a wonderful gift this is. 

It was meant to be a blessing but by the time of Jesus the Sabbath  became a burden. How should we view the fourth of the ten commandments?

As biblical Christians we have a command, an example through Christ himself about meekness. Very important, very misunderstood. There is something we need to understand, biblical meekness is not weakness. 

Remember they are the foundation of Western legal jurist prudence, shapes civilisation by its wonderful lofty alpine high precepts, ethics, morality, and even spirituality.
