Welcome to the Ten Eight Podcast... a show focused on resiliency and personal growth. My goal is to educate, inform, and entertain. While most of our episodes are aimed at the law enforcement officers of North America, the lessons can be applied across disciplines, in fact I use lessons from the worlds of sports and business to convey my messages. The truth is, we are all in this together. Please have a listen, I'm sure you'll find something of value.

1x2 - Community Policing and Supervisors with Sgt. Lamont Quarker

1x2 - Community Policing and Supervisors with Sgt. Lamont Quarker

We all know supervisors that just do not have their team's best interests in mind. We also know supervisors who put us through terribly cliche and cheesy community policing stunts. My guest today, Sergeant Lamont Quarker of Rialto PD (California) is NONE of those things. An exemplary supervisor, police officer, and human being, this was an absolutely amazing conversation, one of my favorites!

3x18 - Out of the Darkness with Sgt Jon Mattingly

3x18 - Out of the Darkness with Sgt Jon Mattingly

Some of the biggest fears a law enforcement officer may have is being shot and being on the national/global news for a scandal. What if both were to happen to you? God forbid, if the worst case scenario happened, are you truly prepared? Mentally, physically, logistically? Be honest with yourself. I don't have the statistics but I can predict that a majority of our nation's law enforcement officers are not prepared for this. Jon Mattingly had to deal with just this, and more, following the incident in 2020 involving Breona Taylor. In this week's episode he shares his experience and how he has found his way out of the darkness. Check it out!
