Stress - Part 2
This week, we continue looking at stress and how we can manage our menopause journey, to reduce stress levels.
Coping With Stress During Menopause
Stress levels during menopause can very easily hit the roof. We can find ourselves not knowing what to do next and which way to turn. One of the biggest problems when it comes to our health during menopause is losing sight of our boundaries. The problem with that is this - when we lose sight of our boundaries we have no stop button. It's like we are on a treadmill and cannot get off. So, what happens then? Well, we can very easily find ourselves pushing physically and emotionally further and further, believing that everyone around us expects us to work harder and faster than our younger female and/or male work colleagues. Or perhaps the stress levels are happening in our personal lives. How do we fix this? You're invited to follow Tess on Menopause on Instagram and access her daily cartoon to learn some useful tips on managing stress and managing menopause. Stress is an important topic as it affects every aspect of our lives during menopause. Once balance is restored though, life becomes doable again.
Hydration - Part 4 - Thoughts on Hydration and Other Things
It's been a tough week for me and I should have had this podcast recorded on Wednesday but I didn't. It dawned on me that it's OK to fail now and again. Heck, now and again would be nice! :) Anyway, this is Part 4 of our hydration focus and next week I want to share my experience with stresses at work in the hope that it will help others navigate their way.
Hydration Part 3 - How Diet Affects Our Bladder Control
Learn how to hydrate better with fresh fruit and veges. In today's podcast we take a look at the benefits of hydrating through food. You will find the hydration diary in the Better Menopause Club. Not only do we get lots of water out of fruit and veges but we also get fibre with loads of vitamins and minerals. #God-made not man-made. https://www.bettermenopauseclub.com/join/
Hydration - Part 2, Benefits of Using a Hydration Diary
This week we take a look at using a Hydration Diary to identify current hydrating habits. If there's one thing I've learnt in menopause it is this - if you don't manage your own menopause and health, someone else will. By taking some small steps to create healthier habits, we can avoid many of the pitfalls that lie in wait on our menopause journey. You can use any type of Hydration Diary - we have one for our members - https://www.bettermenopauseclub.com/join/
Hydration Part 1 - Being Well Hydrated Can Make Or Break The Menopause Experience
Hydration is very important during menopause. It amazes me that many of the symptoms attributed to menopause are also the same symptoms attributed to dehydration.
Symptoms like headache, this can cause major issues when experiencing a migraine. Hydration is the first step to avoiding migraine.
Other symptoms include feeling dizzy, that sensation when the room beings to swirl. Menopause can make us feel like we're losing our grip and the last thing we need to contend with is feeling dizzy.
What about confusion? How many times do we walk into a room only to forget why we walked in there? What if that symptom is caused by lack of oxygen (H2O) due to dehydration than 'just menopause.'
Maybe menopause is getting a bad wrap and being blamed for a lot of symptoms that are in fact the result of poor hydration.
What about those angry outbursts - yep they can be caused through dehydration too.
In today's podcast, I share my discoveries when it comes to hydration and also invite you to join the Club (www.bettermenopauseclub.com) which will bring you into our private Facebook Group and access to some useful files, including our Hydration Diary.
