Adding the value block to a podcast

Adding the value block to a podcast

By Chris

Step by step process of creating a podcast, adding the value block as specified in the Podcastindex.org GitHub repository, and then testing by streaming through different podcast apps. Quick and dirty audio recording on my phone to have some audio file to test out. While I do list of each step I take, expect no editing or any production value. This is just garbage audio file to test out the value block specification and streaming satoshis via the bitcoin lightning network.

Episode 02: Finishing setting up the podcast

If you’re listening to this. I’m sorry. I want to test out adding the value block to a podcast so it will show up in podcast apps that support streaming sats such as Breez, PodFriend, Sphinx, podStation. Since I don’t already have a podcast to test it out with, I’ll need to create a podcast, and have some ‘episode’ to test it out with. The following will be me listing off the steps I take in an excruciatingly low production quality phone recording so I have something to upload. No prior planning, no fancy intro music, just a demo audio file recorded on my phone to test this out.
