The Voice of Texas Veterans

The Voice of Texas Veterans

By Texas Veterans Commission

Helping Veterans Starts Here! This podcast highlights services of the Texas Veterans Commission, which assists veterans in obtaining all the state and federal benefits they have earned. Veterans, family members and survivors pay no cost for our services. We file disability claims and appeals, help resolve VA medical care issues, assist with education benefits, and the job search, and help vets start their own business. We work to ensure veterans have access to competent mental health services. We have a Women Veterans Program and we award grants to veteran serving non profits.

You'll know who they all are after you listen in!

Be a Part of the Military Women's Memorial!

Be a Part of the Military Women's Memorial!

Three million women have served with the U.S. Armed Forces since the American Revolution.  You probably know a woman who served. The Military Women’s Memorial is giving those women and their families a place to tell their stories. The Memorial was created “to record and preserve stories that will otherwise be lost to history and unknown to future generations”. Featuring interactive exhibits, an education center and a collection of stories from women, the Memorial is in Arlington, Virginia but you can also visit virtually. Listen as retired Brigadier General Robin Akin shares her story and urges women vets to contribute to the Memorial. Connect with Texas Veterans Commission Here.
