108. She Deserves Better ft Sheila Wray Gregoire and Rebekah Mui
What are the evangelical messages around sex, desire, spirituality, and beauty actually doing to us and our children? Sheila Wray Gregoire shares research on this question, and offers healthy, Jesus-centered alternatives. We also hash out social media conversations, celebrity, and much more.

107. Judges: Camel Ornaments and Golden Vests
Once again, we dive into Judges, and think about how the mighty Gideon fell from faith to cowardly idolatry. But first: a recap of what we’ve been reading lately, and corny poems for spring.
I mentioned Scribd at the top of the episode - it's a better-than-Audible audiobook and ebook platform. Use my referral link to get two free months: scribd.com/g/9oj0ch
106. Anarchy, Marriage, and Peace: A conversation with David from Texas
This week, I drag @WalterRothbard off Twitter and into a wide-ranging conversation on political theory, marriage, and anger. David (real last name not disclosed) has an amazing testimony of the transforming power of Christ's peace over anger. We get into some turbulent waters as we consider critiques against an author that David has benefited from and conclude with some practical advice about overcoming anger.

104. Liturgy and the Anglican Tradition (ft. Dave Friedrich and Kimberly Witmer)
What is liturgy? Are written prayers a form of “vain repetition” or a tool to avoid that rut? An Anglican pastor joins Dru to discuss this and more, along with friend-of-the-pod Kimberly Witmer!

102. The Great Sex Rescue (feat. Sheila Wray Gregoire)
Tis the season for pumpkin spice and, err, spicy interviews? Sheila Wray Gregoire joined us to rescue sex from the unbiblical errors that often permeate Christian messages. Whether married or single, this conversation provides helpful insight into God's design for sexuality, along with practical pointers for growing in intimacy.

100. Soul Care (feat. Dr. Barbara L. Peacock)

99. Sacred Euphoria
We are back with Season Five!
In this episode, we talked about an article that was recently published in the Kingdom Outpost by one of the hosts on the pursuit of pleasure in Christ. Paradoxically, discipline may be the path to spiritual euphoria.

98. Update
We are wrapping up Season 4 and looking forward to the next chapter of the podcast!
97. Parenting Like Jesus (feat. Patricia Lewis)
Styles of parenting have a way of stirring up conflict like few other things. Perhaps that’s because parenting is so real. We’ve all been parented - for better or worse - and many of us are parents. Most of us will be - again, for better or worse.
In today’s episode, we have Patricia Lewis on to share about an alternative to the traditional fundamentalist spanking-centered approach. Patricia is a mom herself, with training as a foster parent and as a special ed teacher. Titus is a parent of three children, three and under. It gets real and practical.

96. Poetry, Devotions, and Theobro Patriarchs (feat. David Carlson)
That’s not all, folks: Before we get to David, Titus and Dru do some Monday-morning quarterbacking on Titus’s recent debate on non-violence.

95. Debate on Pacifism
Titus was invited onto Clubhouse for a debate on Christian pacifism.
Enjoy!
94. Judges - Hitting the Nail on the Head
We're back with another look at Judges - this time, we explore four judges from chapters 3-5. Why does God keep testing Israel? Was Barack a judge, a coward, or just a guy that God used? And what is the ACTUAL melody for the children's song with Shamgar in it?

93. Judges - Introduction
Dru and Lisl begin a study in the Old Testament book of Judges. It's a bit different from our usual fare, but quite possibly worth a listen! They discuss genocide, the sovereignty of God, and how fast a person could run without their big toes.

92. Upside-Down Apocalypse (feat. Jeremy Duncan)
Before the good stuff though, Titus and Dru talk about prayer retreats and longform prayer. Dru rants about panmillenialism and forgets the name of Jeremy Duncan - our esteemed guest.

91. That Unscripted Podcast (feat. Dru Lattin's Edits)
This week, we (sorta?) field questions from our audience, except those that Titus doesn't like. Dru edits out the stuff that is especially egregious - so what's left? The cult of domesticity, Hutterites, small businesses, and a bit on the end of Acts. If you listen very closely, you might just hear a cry for help.

90. Mennonites Unfiltered (feat Packy Sporre and Tim Lattin)
Without Titus around, Dru manages to ramble through a conversation with a couple Midwesterners: Packy Sporre and Tim Lattin talk about their experiences with the Mennonite church and community, before diving into an ill-fated discussion on gun control.
Like all our episodes, this is a conversation, and there's more to be said. Let us know what you think about this episode, and check out outtakes from this convo on our Patreon.
89. Christian Mysticism (feat. Dr. Jason M. Baxter)
Alright, this one is intense.
Dr. Baxter is an intellectual mystic (not a contradiction of terms) who joined us to for an extremely packed interview about Christian mysticism (also not a contradiction of terms).
Just give it a shot.

88. SCOTUS
Into the yawning void caused by a lack of guys yammering about abortion on podcasts, Dru and Titus nobly step into the gap. Listen in for confessions of childhood dream jobs, the perfect wedding, and some heartfelt reflection on how Jesus people should respond to restrictions on abortion. Dru also rants about stare decisis and flat Bibles.

82. Ditches & Druance (feat. Emily Smucker)
Our very own Reverend Dru Lattin has become widely known for his propensity toward nuance. In order to set him straight, we invited Emily Smucker to share her thoughts about the famous Mennonite ditch analogy. Why do we always think we are in the middle of the road and everyone else is in the ditch? Is moderation and balance a Christian virtue? Tune in to hear centrism challenged and Titus' lack of teetotalism exposed.

79. Wrapping up Season Three
We look back at a few of our favorite episodes from Season Three, and share about our plans going forward. Titus again brings up his snoring bulldogs and Dru manages to sneak the word "epistemology" into a Christmas rant - twice. Vintage TJP.
Don't forget to fill out our Listener Survey: forms.gle/sQagkHjkw57eNcc26
78. Humility
It looks like Roe v Wade might get overturned next year thanks to Trump's Supreme Court nominations! Was Titus wrong all along for opposing white evangelicals' support of the Donald? Tune in to hear this and more current events discussed like the trial of Arbery's killers and the saga of a contested Confederate battle flag. Then, we discussed how important humility is in the life of a devoted disciple of Jesus.
77. Higher Education (feat. Kimberly Kirtz)

76. Doing Justice Jesus' Way (feat. Joash Thomas)
Justice is such an important part of the restoration of God's rule on earth. Today we are featuring a conversation that Rebekah Mui hosted over at the Kingdom Outpost. The three guests were our very own Francis, Derek Kreider of the Fourth Way Podcast, and Joash Thomas, who is Canada's national director for the International Justice Mission, the largest anti-slavery organization in the world. They talked about the tension faced when nonviolent Christians are faced with situations involving extreme oppression and abuse. Do we cooperate with the sword of the state in these cases? Joash shares from his wisdom and experiences fighting injustice around the world in this rich conversation.
By the way, Francis had to leave half way through the podcast. It's not like Rebekah muted him to avoid further nonsense spewing forth. Stop assuming the worst.

75. Does Baptism Save?
Mennopolls is at it again, showing some of the dark underside of the conservative Anabaptism world. 10% of conservative Anabaptists seem to be okay with using the n-word to refer to black people. Titus rants about this despicable reality and a very white Dru adds his privileged perspective. Then, Titus makes a case for baptismal regeneration and Dru pushes back with his signature druance. Also discussed are the proper age and mode of baptism. Thanks to our listeners who submitted questions for this episode!

Dru and Titus discuss their experiences with observing the Lord's Table and tackle some practical questions about how we celebrate. But first, Titus entraps Dru into talking about CRT and racism and Dru admits he is white. Also, Dru admits he is white.

Today: A conversation about the so-called New Apostolic Reformation. But first, Titus complains about boogeymen and shares a supernatural experience of his own.

62. Deconstructing our Deconstruction of Deconstruction (feat. Rebekah Mui & Christopher Witmer)
If you ever get past deciphering the title you are in for a real treat today. Our friends Rebekah and Christopher joined us to push back on Titus' insensitivity in the last episode. We went long, just like your deconstruction should (unless you believe in reconstruction like Dru).
Check out our sponsors: creativedesignsbyfern.com
62. Deconstruction
Dru thinks it's serious, sometimes healthy, and rooted in French philosophers. Titus thinks it's a silly fad. But both of us think we should all spend more time praying together in New York City. Listen in as we share our stories of deconstruction.
61. Presence-Based Community (feat. Jon Quesenberry)
Titus sits down with his long-time friend, Jon, to talk about what it looks like when the presence of God saturates a Christian community.
