Imposter Syndrome with Founder of Aspire to Zero, Rachana Shah
Rachana Shah is the founder of Aspire to Zero, a Zero Waste Consultancy helping schools and small businesses build and execute waste-reduction plans that work within their pace while committing to continuous improvement. After 8 years working in technology for big banks, she earned her masters in environmental sustainability, paused to grow her family, and now is back working towards her goal of keeping as much waste out of the landfill as she can. But that wasn't always her plan. After taking time off to raise her children, Rachana shares that she was willing to settle for entry-level work before she fortuitously won a three-hour coaching session at a silent auction. From there, the seed was planted to set out on her own, but not without a few "imposter syndrome episodes" getting in her way first.

What's Holding You Back? A Conversation with Transformational Coach Erin Baker
Erin Baker left a career in the Silicon Valley tech industry to become a transformational coach, helping others also transition into what she calls their next act. Many of us get stuck in our careers or identities and, as a coach, Erin works with people to blow all that up and unblock the thing that's holding them back from being their most authentic selves. On this episode, the two of us discuss some of those things that get in our way, including imposter syndrome, fear of failure (and success), and the Upper Limit problem--the notion that when something good happens above the limit of what we're used to or comfortable with, we tend to self-sabotage to keep ourselves confined between the lines where it's safe.
