On this episode of Nexus, host Rebecca McGeehan '26 delves into the experiences of Eastern European students on the Amherst campus. In conversations with Klara Matuszewska '26 and Alexia Lapadat '26, Rebecca discusses imposter syndrome, post-Soviet society, and useful resources on campus.

Approximately 10 percent of Amherst’s student population comes from outside of the US, and beyond that, many faculty members and staff are from a completely different corner of the world. This diversity is one of the things that makes Amherst such an exciting place to learn, while simultaneously engendering divides within the student body. 

In this inaugural series, Rebecca highlights the voices of Amherst's international student population, beginning close to her own home of Northern Ireland.
