5: Am I The Asshole? Pregnancy Edition
This week we talk through a few posts from Reddit’s “Am I The Asshole?” and we determine for ourselves: are they the asshole? For this episode we specifically chose ones related to pregnancy.
We liked this episode so much (and we hope you will too!) that we’re going to do another one soon, but parenting edition!

This week’s episode is all about explaining your birth team options. Who you have at your birth can make a huge difference for countless reasons so it’s not something to take lightly! Make sure to educate yourself on your options before choosing!
Should you go with an OBGYN? A midwife? A doula? Some combination? Should you put your maternal instincts to the test and do a free birth?
In this episode we will explain their similarities, their differences, some statistics, and our opinions of each. We also talk about what it means to not have anyone attend your birth, AKA free birth or DIY birth.

3: Gestational Diabetes
Now that we’ve covered our birth stories we’re going to dig into pregnancy and parenting, the core of our show!
First, we talk about last week’s messes: potty training, being sleep deprived with a newborn, and realizing that we need to shift some more focus back onto our relationship instead of solely on being parents. Afterwards, we cover gestational diabetes: What is gestational diabetes? What options do you have regarding being tested for GD? What is it like to manage GD? And even a little bit of controversy: “Is gestational diabetes a scam?!”
Next week’s episode will be discussing your options for your choosing your birth team: OBGYN, midwife, doula, or maybe even just you/your family AKA “freebirth.”

2: Our Second Birth Story (Home Birth)
In this episode we unpack our second birth and how it was different from our first daughter's birth. For one thing, she was born in our living room as opposed to a C-section. The pregnancy was much more difficult but the labor and delivery was exactly what we were wanting!
We discuss morning sickness, gestational diabetes, home-birth, midwifery care, doulas, labor and delivery, water birth, pain management during labor, post-partum hemorrhaging, cutting the cord, and a bunch more!
