We spoke to Simon McNeill, Captain of 45th Glasgow, about his experience of the Raise the Bar Roadshow in East Kilbride and how he and his Company have benefitted from their new learning

We spoke to Audrey Clark, Head Teacher of King Edward Primary School (Aberdeenshire) whose son attended 1st Banff BB.  She shares her perspective as a parent on the value, benefits and impact of the BB. 

John Swinney MSP, Deputy First Minister of Scotland and Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, visited Carronvale to meet a group of young leaders completing the KGVI Youth Leadership Course. 

 The King George VI (KGVI) youth leadership course is aimed at 17 – 22 year olds wishing to become leaders in the BB.  It sees young people from across Scotland coming to Carronvale for a residential week of learning, then returning to their Company to put their learning and skills into practise over the course of 12 months, before a final week long residential .  The course was credit rated in 2013 by SCQF at level 7, which means it is equivalent to an Advanced Higher or HNC.  In this podcast Mark and Andrew reflect on completing their 2nd year of KGVI.

Beth Dobson, Development Officer for The Boys' Brigade, spoke to Martin Dunbar, Captain of 4th/5th Fraserburgh and training co-ordinator and STEM Ambassador for Buchan Battalion about his work with the organisation and the training opportunities available for volunteers to develop their skills.

10th Leith use music and performance as an important part of their programme to support young people to Learn, Grow and Discover. 

Captain of the 46th Aberdeen and one of The Boys' Brigade's STEM Ambassadors, Mike Aberdein, reflects on his experiences of BB and how a varied, fun and good quality programme keeps young people people of today engaged in and enjoying their BB experience. 

On International Women's Day, Development Officer Beth Dobson chats with Jenny Sclater, leader with 44th Aberdeen and Brigade Training Officer.  Jenny reflects on her time with BB, what she gains from it and the opportunities available for both young people and  adults through The Boys' Brigade.  

Gary Hucheon from 29th Aberdeen chats with BB Development officer about his BB experience - both as member and as volunteer leader. Gary also explains that the Company Healthcheck resource is helping the development of 29th's programme and communication.
