Anxiety is a tremendous issue in our society. Navigating the challenges and pressures of life is not easy. When we look at the leaders who are in the Bible, what we see isn’t perfect people who have it all together; rather, we see people who are broken and troubled and overwhelmed. But the good news of the Bible is that we have a God who meets us where we are. And when anxiety attacks, we have a God who meets us where we are and leads us to where we need to be. In today’s sermon, Pastor Ethan helps us know what to do “When Anxiety Attacks.”

More than ever, our society struggles with anxiety. Even in spite of all our technological advances, it seems mental health is at an all-time high. And for anyone who battles with anxiety and depression, there seem to be no quick-fixes or easy answers. Fortunately, the Bible has much to say about the topic. Even Jesus experienced anxiety. Life was not meant to be experienced alone in separation and isolation. More than ever, we have a great temptation to live “shelled lives”—walled-off from others, lacking real, authentic community. When we observe the life of Jesus and his model for living, we see a shared life—a web of rich, deep relationships with others.
