For a long time, I stuck to the idea that it was all temporary and that I would be the old me soon. I tried to hold onto every friendship, also those that didn’t serve me in my healing process.
Holding on to something that didn’t serve me anymore was making me sad and it causes even more stress for my brain. I was “waiting” for so long to become the old me again, but I was done with waiting, something needed to change.

92. Lieve her doctor told her: "This is it, you have to live with your symptoms" - How she managed to improve
I remember it like yesterday. Lieve sent me a message on Instagram, and it broke my heart:“I can’t do this anymore, I don’t know what to do, I am in tears"
It breaks my heart to read messages like his. Because I know how it feels to feel this lost and stuck. I have been there too. Listen to hear Lieve's story and how she managed to reduce her symptoms and feel much better now.

In the first two years after sustaining my concussion, I often felt so hyper and restless. I find it difficult to describe this restless feeling, but when a member of the community shared more about it, I could totally relate to her words.
