027 / Cancel your Clients
Relationships are more valuable than money when working as a creative. Because of this it's good to protect your time and energy and spend it on the people that matter. You don't need to please everyone, just the right people. Stop working with the people who don't get you and fire your bad clients if any of this episode has happened to you.

024 / Are you Jealous?
Everyone's on the same team, we can all win, we can all lift each other up. Not everyone has that mindset.
But that's how you'll find your inner circle. That's how you'll separate yourself. Lead with love. ✌

022 / making a film in lockdown
Myself & @nlnbegley came up with an idea for a film and as soon as we planned to execute, Toronto went into another lockdown.
We still chose to continue the film but let it take on a life of it's own to accommodate for all the restrictions we faced. In this episode, we talk about how it all came together.
You can watch the film here: https://youtu.be/I5wr-wsyS8w
Massive shout out to everyone involved in making this come to life! 💖
021 / Check In
I hope everyone is doing well in this crazy covid time.
In this check-in episode, I recap with a few people on how they are spending their time, keeping positive and trying to focus on the good in these trying times. Shifting your outlook right now can go a long way.
Keep positive and check-in with each other. 🙂
020 / Embrace your Creative Burnout
Don't make work for yourself just to make work!
Embrace the season you are in right now, and if that means not creating, then accept that.
In the episode I walk through my personal journey with having an addiction to creating things, not wanting to accept the burnout and just struggling to continue making things. In the end, I just created busy work for myself.
Remember, whatever you focus your attention on will grow and sometimes growth requires rest.

018 / Build Your Web
More often than not, it's who you know not what you know. Ryan & I talk about the importance of building out your networking web (specifically in the client world) and why it's beneficial. This is more of a tips and tricks episode than anything else. Basically here's a few things we think works well! Invest your time wisely.

017 / Accept Being Uninspired
Repetition is one of the many keys to getting good at any craft. Cam Harapiak has gladly devoted his time to his passion. Cam, a full-time designer and lettering artist in Toronto discusses the way he got into the industry, the way he recharges, & why it's important to experiment with different mediums within your craft.
Among much more we chatted about not stressing out or putting too much pressure on yourself while creating so you can avoid burnout.

016 / Friendly reminder to take a breath.
Just a friendly reminder to take some time for yourself. It's important to do nothing and get in tune with your thoughts every now and then. I explain how I learned what recharges me and the system I used to get there.

013 / Free Work Sucks (But Also Doesn't)
Free works sucks, but is necessary in pretty much any creative field.
If you want to stretch yourself, try new things and build your portfolio, it's important to be seeking out the right kind of free work.
What do you want to be paid to do? Find your niche first - working for free, then go & compete in the industry.

012 / No Plan B
There's two main ways to end up working for yourself. Build it up slowly as a side hustle or take the leap of faith, go all in, make it your soul purpose and have no plan b. Sasha took the latter and hasn't looked back since. We talk about the hurdles she's faced and how she's kept laser focus on the path that she's taken.
011 / Stop Holding Back
Braven Carvalho (BRVN) is an artist who has spent the majority of his life playing & making music. Over the last few years he's been turning down his self doubt, tuning into what his ears tell him sounds good so that he could focus on putting together his first EP.
We talk about not holding back, not caring about what others think and what it takes to overcome doubt.
010 / More Action, Less Excuses
Mike Temos is a filmmaker who is currently on his journey to making his side hustle of making videos become his main job.

009 / It's Never Too Late
We cover how he made the transition from engineering to video safely and smoothly. Why you should have contracts and how to talk about budgets with clients. Most importantly, Michael shares ways he slows down so that he avoids burning out. You should always be creating for yourself but you don’t always need to put it out.

008 / Social Detox
I noticed that my screen time was super high, I reached for my phone constantly whenever there was a pause. ie: public transit, waiting in line or even a lull in conversation.
The worst part was, I wasn't even doing it on purpose. All out of habit.
I recorded this episode with my girlfriend Taryn to shed some light on the process, why it was important to me and how it changed my habits throughout the month.
10/10 would encourage anyone to do it, even if you think you don't have a problem.
007 / Trust The Process
In the episode we talk about getting stuck inside your own head, how to separate your ideas into which ones you should follow and why you should be enjoying more of the process and journey.
