Jonathan Ward is more than the sum of his company and the brands that he leads. He is a true ambassador for all things car culture world wide.
"The concept for ICON was born in response to the direction I had seen the collector market heading. As demands and expectations on classic cars grew so did the desire for modern performance married to classic styling. I not only took note, I took action.
In 1996 my wife Jamie and I started TLC, now the nations leading Land Cruiser Service center, to provide sales, service, parts and restoration services to the Land Cruiser community. As our global reputation grew, I began to work as a consultant for Toyota, and TLC started developing special projects for Toyota ranging from outfitting vehicles for special events to, at one point, being asked by Mr. Toyoda to build three running and driving prototypes, which ultimately became the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Our original prototypes paid direct homage to the Land Cruiser tradition, even more so than the exciting new FJ Cruiser. This design departure (from our existing prototypes) prompted the question, if I was to revisit the FJ40 design my way, how would I do it?
The actualized results of a strong commitment to tradition, obsession with modern design, and unrelenting need to achieve performance excellence is what today is known as the ICON. This vehicle without peers, is built for a journey without boundaries.
Starting with the FJ series, then the BR and TR, Jamie and I have continued expanding and exploring innovative designs on a wide variety of vehicles, and we have been blessed to find an audience that has not only appreciated our work but demanded more. Today the majority of our custom builds are two wheel drive vehicles, again with classic styling, modern performance, and timeless utility.
Without the support of enthusiasts and patrons like you, such extreme expressions of design and function would never have been possible.

Aaron Heck is President and founder of HeckArt Studios, a premiere feature film production company and branding agency based in Los Angeles, California.
Heck produced his first feature film, Cheyenne, at age 23. He then put his talents to work in the advertising industry and built a number of strong brands, with particular successes in the competitive world of wine and spirits. Since founding HeckArt Studios in 1996, Heck has grown the company into an innovative and multi-award-winning agency, which specializes in brand ascension.
From 1996 to 2001, Heck was also Director of Advertising and Promotions at F. Korbel and Bros., Inc., the largest and oldest producer of Méthode Champagne in the United States. In 2001, he was promoted to VP of Advertising, and oversaw Korbel Champagne, Korbel Brandy, Kenwood, Valley of the Moon and Lake Sonoma wineries, and launched the King’s Ransom, Madrone and Pinafarina wine brands.

Professional sailer, amateur car restorer, all around good guy. Phil Toth stops buy for chat.
Phil is one of the most easily recognizable professional sailors from Southern California. Originally born in Brisbane Australia and with a background in rugby union, his power and 6’7” frame puts him head and shoulders above the competition.
Toth's many years of international Olympic class competition have honed his helming and tactical skills. He worked closely with teammates in both the Star and Finn class to reach the top of the fleet.
Phil has tens of thousands of miles at sea, and spends 280+ days on the water each year. His years of working as a sailmaker and rigger have given him the full set of skills needed to help any boat achieve the best performance possible. Phil’s vast experience and calm leadership have won many races both offshore and around the buoys.
Phil regularly sails as a professional in many different classes including Etchells, Dragons, Melges 24, Melges 20, Farr 30, Farr 40, International 5o5, Finn and Star class as well as bigger boats such as Reichel/Pugh 60, Davidson 52, Dubois 65, and Andrews 63. Dustin Troyan is the President and Founder of the Motor4Toys Charitable Foundation, dedicated to helping children. He is the President of the Topanga Area Police Foundation and publisher of the Driven World magazine . He is also a Board Member of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriffs Foundation and He is the Founder and President of Connected Media Group LLC, a media-marketing business with a focus on the Automotive Segment. For the last almost twenty years, he has put on a weekly car show called Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills, California. Dustin is an active community member, happily married with two daughters, and an aficionado of bright orange hats. He is the father of two daughters, Scarlett and Ava and happily married to his amazing wife Heather.

AJ Bleyer of Advent Films talks about his journey, combining cars and cameras.
AJ Bleyer should be looked at as only having one hand, because ever since the age of 13 he’s always held a camera in the other. By the time he had turned 21 he had risen to the position of Apple “Genius” with a myriad of Apple Certifications under his belt. His love for advertising and skilled technical abilities forged the perfect combination to start creating content.
Trying to marry his two passions of cars and cameras, he began shooting automotive videos. His work quickly spread to luxury dealerships, and soon AJ began being known for his automotive work. At age 22 AJ left his job at Apple to pursue filmmaking full-time, and within a year was directing videos for elite car manufacturers such as Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche, Tesla and more.
When he’s not working on movies or driving cars, AJ is either working on movies or driving cars.
