Stuck in Grief? Want to know about trauma and are you afraid you will always be controlled by your grief? We have been there! S1 E10
During this insightful and helpful episode, you’ll hear from Prof. Frida Rundell, a teacher, special needs teacher, and educational psychologist who is an expert in trauma, grief, and storytelling. She explores the concept of “trauma,” and explains what is happening in our brains and bodies when we are traumatized by a traumatic event and what happens in us when we are triggered long afterward. Importantly, she provides practical ways to care for ourselves. She’s brilliant and the episode ends with an incredible poem she wrote in honor of her beloved husband, Michael, who died in August 2021. Feeling Helpless and the shoulda-woulda-coulda’s in Grief. S1 E6
The Grief Sisters know suffering! Together, in 2017 we lost 4 family members in a 7 week period. Join us today while we talk with our baby sister, Jenna, about loving and losing our dad who was one of the most outgoing and vivacious men we knew. Later in his life, he became addicted to Opioids. We discuss the pain and difficulties that we suffered while watching him change and the hardship of trying to get him the help he needed. We also give helpful help to those who feel powerless in their grief and begin to gain relief from the "Shoulda Woulda Coulda" thoughts that won't stop in your head.
