We are joined by Dr. Subhashini M who is an extremely experienced academician, researcher and retired teacher to helps us understand the various aspects in designing the curriculum. In this episode we take a look at syllabi, creativity, the changes that need to be made and where the transformation can begin.

In this episode of the Imagined Order, Aditya and Jishnu are in conversation with Mr. Naim Keruwala, who has several years of experience in this field, discussing the topic of Urban Resilience and Governance. Here, we were able to understand several problems regarding the way the cities are developing in India and how sustainable our cities really are. We discussed on a myriad of topics ranging from traffic to natural disaster resilience as well as capacity of the Indian cities to endure shocks. 

In this episode, we invited one of India's and the entire world's biggest Social Entrepreneur - Ms. Lakshmi Menon to join us and help us understand the right approach and mindset towards starting a successful Social Enterprise. We discussed all about profit v/s welfare, what really matters and the ideal mindset for an aspiring social entrepreneur. This would definitely be an insightful listen for any aspiring entrepreneurs.

At a time where everyone is keen to help a close friend or someone they met on the internet overcome their mental distress, we take a look at some of the ways a friend or relative can support an emotionally or mentally troubled friend and give some insights into being emotionally mature. Mr. Suvish Samuel Sundaram once again joins us. He has Masters in Counselling Psychology, is a counsellor who specializes in Family & Couple Therapy and works with a lot of teens and young adults. We also invited Ms. Nisha Menzies who is an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph's Autonomous College, has MPhil in Developmental Psychology and Masters in Clinical Psychology. In this episode, we asked a lot of questions to understand how should one help a friend, where do we draw the boundaries and how to mentally strong in the current times. With the current pandemic situation that has forced all of us to stay indoors, experts believe that the mental health of the society has been distressed. Is a gender equal India something that all of us could dream of achieving anytime soon ? Or are some people just completely ignorant about the situation here, making it normal to be treating our daughters like this? In this episode, Aditya and Jishnu continues their discussion with Ms Lavanya Shanbhogue Arvind (assistant professor in women's studies at Tata Institute of Social sciences, Author  of 'the heavens we chase', researcher, TEDx speaker and someone who has achieved much more that we couldn't possibly fit in this description ) on the status of women in India with special emphasis on women's autonomy over themselves and dialogue spread in our society. This episode, Lavanya tries to make sense to a lot of controversial questions ranging from abortion, prostitution, women in power and so much more.

Why is feminism such a misconstrued term in India? Are people sometimes going overboard with their feminist ideologies ? India ranks 108/149 in the Gender inequality index. Only 40% of the girl children above 25 have received secondary education. Above 90% of the unorganised work force is employed by females compared to 85% males in the organised sector. Here, we see a clear lack of rapid improvement in India, in women's status, despite the immense potential and supposed opportunities available for them. In this episode Aditya and Jishnu tries to understand the issue of gender inequality in India with special emphasis on the condition of Indian daughters and feminism. To talk about the arguments between lives and livelihood with the advent reduction of restrictions in lockdown, we invited Mr. Anand Kumar (currently pursuing PhD in IIM Bengaluru) to discuss on the economics side of things and Dr. Ashwin Prem (M.B.B.S , AIIMS Bhopal) to give a medical perspective. Here, we discussed about the impact on migrant workers, India's credit rating and debt situation the big question of herd immunity in India and the process of vaccinations among various other topics that will formulate our way forward.
