THE JIFE MUSIC SHOW

As is customary, we recap the previous year of gospel music with our guest host Janeel Boon, Producer and Host of The Evening Connection on Dominion Radio, St. Kitts and Nevis. We look at the top acts in Caribbean and US gospel music. Plus, we feature new music from Jaron Nurse and Nathanael from Trinidad and Tobago and Hayden Billingy from St. Vincent and the Grenadines. 

2021 is the year for champions. This edition of the show is designed to motivate persons who went through a tough year in 2020 to greatness in 2021. Hear songs from T Haddy, Andy Mineo, Neesha Woodz, Bizzle, Samuel Medas, Blessed Messenger and more all geared to inspire listeners to unearth the inner champion. 

2020 may have been a challenging year, but some great music were released from some fantastic artists. We capture 20 of those songs in The JIFE Music Top 2020 Countdown, all in one show.

It's throwback week this week on The JIFE Music Show. We go back some 22 years ago and feature some groundbreaking songs in Reggae Gospel and Hip Hop and some Christmas songs to get the ball rolling as we enter the Christmas season. 

All female Gospel Band Axia Nation is our Artiste of the Week. We speak to them about their origins and the challenges of being an all-female band. Plus, we feature new music from Positive from his new album Heartwired and a new track from Minister Taf. 

Tehiilah Band in St. Kitts is hosting a gospel concert on November 27, which is a welcome development since the COVID-19 Pandemic.  We speak to co-organizer Jermaine Willock about the headline acts which include Rizon from Trinidad and Tobago, Minister Taf from the UK, Ali Dee from Nevis and many others. Plus, we feature some of the finest Soca Gospel music from Neesha Woodz, Joshua Ali and Marc Isaac. 

After years in the music business, Jamaica gospel artist Rohan Clarke is about to take his music to another level. We speak to him about his newest singles: Blessings Over Me and God Is Enough and how life in America differs to that in Jamaica as a gospel artist. Plus we feature a new track from Christafari and taste of Hip Hop and Soca. 

Our focus this week is on the 2020 Antigua and Barbuda Gospel Music and Media Awards. It's a virtual event this year and we spoke to event organiser Stanshaw Cornelius for the details. Plus, we have new music from Rohan Clarke and a powerful testimony from Canton Jones in Soulfood.  

We have the pleasure of featuring Sean Grant (aka Seantana) of Christian Hip Hop Media Company Trackstarz in Atlanta as our guest this week on The JIFE Music Show.  He talks about the early days of Trackstarz, the challenges in getting their radio show on secular radio stations and why they started the  controversial segment Line 4 Line. Plus, we have new music from Sarid DVN and De Warrior and more selections from Lecrae and Phenom the 1st.    

The first Haitian artist to be featured on The JIFE Music Show: Summer Lyan is our guest this week. He speaks about his upcoming single and EP and how he got involved in music. This week we also feature new music from DJ Nicholas and Antigua Hip Hop artist Phenom The First.

Host of The JIFE Music Show Andre Huie is in the hot seat this week as he is being interviewed by BICM Radio in New York about his love for music.  In this edition, also we hear a mixture of Hip Hop, Caribbean and Reggae Gospel at its finest. 

In this edition we speak to Nehemiah, an artist from Guyana and protege of Shawn English. He speaks about his humble beginnings in the music world and his debut single: God's Mercies Kept Me." Plus we feature a slew of hip hop tracks including a remix of a track featuring reggae sensation Shaggy. 

Get up and dance as we bring you part 2 of the Summer Mix 2020 featuring some of the best and hottest tracks in Hip Hop, Dancehall Gospel and R and B. A great way to close out the summer. 

It's been a while since we heard from Shawn English from Guyana. He joins us to talk about his latest single "Public Service Announcement" and the new direction of his music career. This week, we also feature strictly hip hop music, including new songs from Lecrae as he prepares to release his latest album: Restoration.  

You heard his hit single with Chosen Da Journey and his cutting edge dancehall gospel track "Good To Me" and "Purpose." Now hear the man live and lively: Sone, a dynamic reggae gospel artist from Jamaica who is based in Florida. We talk to him about his early beginnings and where he is heading with his music. Also, on this episode we feature music from Di Anointed Vale, Allan Petty and new tracks from Trinidadian artist Rizon. 

The summer is here and as always, we offer you one of the finest mixes of music featuring four genres: soca, hip hop, r and b and dancehall.  

Petite but powerful--Jamaican gospel artist Flavia Beswick joins us this week to talk about her fledgling career, how she manages being a singer and a music teacher and the experience of recording with John Mark Wiggan on the hit single Something Good. We also debut new music from Di Anointed Vale, Khapaible and Rina St. Rose. 

Nigel Lopez is one of the top gospel artists and producers in Trinidad and Tobago. We spoke to him about his music career, how he balances managing his label Sincerity Studios and being an artist at the same time and his experience being one of the few members of his family who is a Christian. We also feature new music from Sincerity Studios, Sarid DVN and De Warrior. 

We talk to Isaiah Raymond, the founder of the legendary UK Gospel Group Raymond and Co about the origins of the group and what he and the members are doing now. On this episode we also feature the finest R&B gospel songs and Hip Hop.  

Florida-based Reggae Gospel artist Jesus Rambo tells his story of how God changed his life just as he was about to kill someone who betrayed him.  Plus we hear new music from Farenite and one of a kind soca gospel mix. 

Beezie, a Christian Hop Hop artist in Chicago shares his experience protesting in the streets for social and racial justice. He also speaks about what it is like suffering police brutality and how Christ saved him from a life of crime. Plus, we have new music from Lecrae and a fantastic reggae gospel mix. 

In light of the recent protests in the US and across the world for racial equality, we decided to dedicate the entire show to the fight for social and racial justice. We hear from Hip Hop artists Lecrae, Sho Baraka and Bizzle and Reggae Gospel artists Prodigal Son from Jamaica with songs that hit hard against injustice.

At a time when people are losing hope in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we at JIFE Music have decided to do a special broadcast of the show this week. The Jesus Party Boat Ride is a big thing in the British Virgin Islands. The organisers, The God Movement, were guests no this week's show as they visited St. Kitts to promote the event. It's also new music week, as we feature strictly new tracks from some of the Caribbean's finest gospel artists. 

Minister Taf from the UK is our featured artiste this week. He speaks about his origins, how he moved from Jamaica to the UK and the state of Reggae Gospel in Europe. Also on this edition, we go way back with some great hits including from Chevelle Franklyn and Prodigal Son.
