Today’s hosts, Shekinah, Terris, Deron, & Freddie. The crew started off vibing to some music. Terris starts off with the first topic, Keith Lee. A MMA fighter turned food critic on Tiktok. They also talked about certain custom meals at establishments becoming viral on TikTok and how it affects the restaurants. Shekinah then brought up POC having to work twice has hard to get recognition. They talked about a famous makeup brand Tarte, and their infamous Dubai trip. Everyone went around the table discussing what their DJ and rap names would be. What’s yours? Later on, they talked about Ice Spice and whether her music was trash or hits. There’s been controversy with a YouTube creator Kai Cenant, and a party that took place at his house. Shekinah then asked the boys what they think about “soft boy era.” They ended the show talking about insecurities gained by middle school roasts and their music suggestions for the week.

S2.5 | EP 1 - 8 TOES DOWN
Terris, Shekinah, & Deron. Welcome to season 2.5. Everyone’s coming off a well deserved winter break. New year? New goals! From focusing on grad applications to learning more about Daoism the crew has things they want to achieve this semester. Terris starts off talking about the unfortunate situation of Damar Hamlin, a football safety for the Buffalo Bills and gave their opinion on whether or not they would allow their kids to play football.
After taking a little break, JCP brings in a special guest: Sasha, a hairstylist that specializes in Natural Hair. After asking a few questions about her business and hair journey, they ask how she feels about the most recent hair partnership. Mielle Organics, a black-owned hair product company and Procter & Gamble, a multi-million dollar consumer cooperation. Sasha gave some insight on the do’s and dont’s of hair. She then shared a little more about the history of having natural hair in the black community. Deron ends the podcast with the 3 P’s.

Shekinah Shenanigans is back with a new vision, new experiences, and new topics.
This season Shekinah, Christina and Glenda have brought in a 4th person, Lisbeth, and they start off the podcast sharing some vibes over the songs that represent them.
The ladies talk about current events happening in Puerto Rico, the tragic murders in the Middle East involving hijabs and misogynistic views. After, Shekinah begins the discussion of end times and how it’s developing into spiritual journeys. The ladies took two tests that describes attachment styles and love languages, and spoke of how their results explain a little of their childhood and trauma. Towards the end, they all agreed how they want to bond more with each other and with other members of JCP this school year.
This season will be a wild one, and we can't wait to take you on the ride.

S2 EP 3 | SHE'S AN 8 BUT....
New building, new equipment, same co-hosts. This week the podcast has finally moved to a new space that will give more creative freedom. The crew started out with listening to Chop Suey by System of a down and then went straight to Current Events. They talked about the death of PnB Rock and whether or not his girlfriend was at fault for posting their location. Following that, they talked about a court case that involved a S.A. victim having to pay the abuser’s family 150,000 dollars. Deron then started a discussion on how society see’s men and their masculinity. In addition, Shekinah asked a few questions, one being, “do you think the energy that you have now will attract people with that same energy?” To finish off the show, everyone listed what they’ve been listening to this week.

S2 | EP 1: "IT AIN'T THAT FUNNY"
On the first episode of season 2, the gang began with jamming to Rage Against The Machine's classic song, Bulls On Parade, and taking 10 deep breaths shortly after. The first topic to be addressed was racism in sports, more specifically, the recent incident involving BYU volleyball fans. Shortly, Deron led a discussion around increased suicide in college athletes while also talking about his personal struggle as an NCAA DI athlete. Transitioning from that, the crew talked about things that bring them peace and also whether they'd fight a gorilla once a week or have everything that they think happen. Lastly, the crew discussed their weekly music rotation. To kick off the second recording of Shekinah's Shenanigans, the women started off with talking about which one their male podcast counterparts they would want to be. They transitioned into talking about having "rosters", which led to a discussion based around the contents of their "nasty time" playlists. From there, they discussed self-care and insecurities that women posses. To close, they talked about some of the "walls" they put up in a relationship

EPISODE 10 | SHEKINAH'S SHENANIGANS (I LOVE ARMPITS)
This special episode of The Just Chattin' Podcast features a brand new, women-led segment called "Shekinah's Shenanigans"; featuring Christina and Glenda. To kick things off, the women started a conversation around men taking birth control. This conversation led to a talk around infidelity and toxic relationships. Following that, they explained some of the social and professional challenges that they face as educated black women. Afterwards, they expressed their definitions of love and provided some of the pros and cons that come with love. To close, they talked about maintaining individuality within relationships.

On this week's episode of The Just Chattin' Podcast, the crew started off with telling stories around their first kisses, which led into a nostalgic conversation around middle school memories. Following that discussion, they talked about what a friendship means to them and if you can be friends with exes. EPISODE 7 | YOU GOT THE POWER TO LET POWER GO?
This episode was truly a great discussion around topics like race and power. To kick things off, a conversation was developed around the question: are all cops bad? That in turn, led to the three friends talking about power, in many different contexts like law enforcement, parenting, and criminal activity. This initial topic led to discussions around love and fear, and also, how little control we have as human beings. To close, there was a dialogue around the unity of black men and women or lack there of. We love you. BE GREAT!
EPISODE 6 | WHO'S YOUR DONDA?
This episode showcased a wonderful conversation between Freddie and Terris. To start, they discussed their feelings about Kanye West's new documentary, jeen-yuhs, and how their parents aided in their vast creativity, like Donda West was with Kanye. Shortly after, Erykah Badu's vagina-scented incense became the topic of discussion as the two friends were confused as to how she even formulated the scent. To close, Terris talked about the spiritual meaning behind locs and exactly why he was embarking his loc journey; Freddie also highlighted a time where he felt profiled due to his hair. We love you. EPISODE 5 | GET SHAMMED
On this week's episode of The Just Chattin Podcast, the crew starts off by sharing their experiences at their school's Black Student Union Gala and briefly discussed their previous track meet. Following that, Terris explained why the term "female" is considered derogatory and the difference between sex and gender. Shekinah then begins a conversation based around the question: are there such thing as bad people or people who just do bad things? Shortly after, Freddie and Terris led a conversation around women in rugby and football. Like always, Terris' musical curiosity leads to a discussion about music the crew has recently been listening. Following that, they recapped the Super Bowl and NBA All-Star Weekend. For their first serious topic, the crew depict the countless lessons that they've learned from current and previous friendships. Piggybacking off that, Terris wanted to get the group's thoughts on the Kanye West and Kid Cudi situation. To cap off the episode, they shared a multitude of coping mechanisms to get through all of life's heartbreaks.

On this episode, with the absence of Freddie & Shekinah, Terris & Deron have a genuine conversation about music, food, and life lessons. The two friends essentially allow the listeners to sit in on a typical "Terris & Deron conversation". From Terris getting trigger happy with the soundboard to Deron's natural ability to seamlessly drop gems, this episode should be nothing short of a great listen. Have a great week and be great y'all.
