Summer is here, and it's here to stay - time to share my Korean sunscreen recommendations for summer 2022 in today's The K-Beauty Podcast episode! Since we are about to go through a massive heat wave here in Germany, I instantly felt drawn to talking about "summery" skincare topics for the new K-Beauty Podcast episode. Korean sunscreens have been getting a bad rep thanks to the whole 202 Korean sunscreen crisis, but I still steadfastly love them. And, there are so many amazing Korean sunscreens coming out right now! So, I hope you can discover some new sunscreen gems from Korea, all of them safe, reliable and just so, so pleasant to use.

Goodbye 2021 and hello 2022! Time for a new The K-Beauty Podcast episode, where I chat about my most beloved Korean beauty products of the past year - my 2021 K-beauty favourites!

I rambled on quite a bit in the beginning, first giving a bit of a life update and my thoughts on 2021, the pandemic, the state of the "skinfluencer" world, etc. If you don't want to hear my rambles, skip to 22:08 

Also NOTE: I completely skipped over my serums and ampoules for some reason - I HAD marked them down in my notes but then apparently overlooked them while recording and went straight to mists. The three serums and ampoules I loved best in 2021 are:

I decided on a spontaneous, non-scripted, flow-y kind of K-beauty catch up for today, which hopefully will lead to both me and you getting at least a momentary break from all the upheavals of the world. Mostly, I just want to hang out with you guys and discuss all the Korean beauty products that I've been loving lately, and those currently on my wish list.

Because this was a very unscripted recording, I got a bit off topic in the beginning, sharing how I felt after both covid vaccine doses and just what's been going on in my life these past weeks. So, skip ahead to about 16:04 for the actual K-beauty content - first, I give a little update on the Korean sunscreen scandal, and then - finally! - dive into my favourite Korean beauty products on my vanity right now and my current Korean skincare wish list top 10!

I had so much planned for today, but then ended up predominantly discussing the big "elephant in the room" which is the Korean sunscreen scandal that's been rocking our usually so sweet and friendly skincare community!

As is tradition at the beginning of a new year in K-beauty, we are looking back today at what the previous year brought in terms of awesome skincare. So, this podcast episode is all about my Korean beauty favourites of 2019!

These past weeks, I have been paying extra close attention to Korean brands that are known to be trendsetters, as well as especially Korea-based influencers to get a sense of what’s trending right now and what will be the biggest trends in Asian beauty for 2020. For my K-beauty trend forecast for the new year, I have selected 5 K-beauty skincare trends that I currently see emerging and that I believe will be huge in 2020 in the Korean and the wider Asian beauty industry!

Don't you just love that time of year when a bunch of new, exciting beauty products launch? I wanted to use today's The K-Beauty Podcast episode to discuss a number of these autumn K-beauty launches for 2019 with you guys and hopefully introduce you to a few goodies you may have otherwise overlooked. Especially in terms of Korean skincare, there is so much new stuff out right now or about to launch in the next weeks, all of it super interesting and potentially swoon-worthy. Not every product mentioned in this episode won me over completely, and I've got a thing or two to say about the pricing with one brand in particular, but all in all, my wish list definitely got longer after researching the latest autumn K-beauty launches for 2019. Now, I can't really say that I feel hyper confident about actually being able to afford all of the products on my K-beauty wish list for 2019, but hey - a girl can dream, am I right? And, really, this is mostly about having fun fantasising what the new year will bring to my skincare shelf and talking about Asian beauty products that are currently on my radar as potential new superstars!
