Topic: Parental anxiety

1.  When you’re afraid your mistakes will traumatize or produce children that are ill-prepared - God has graced our mistakes as parents. – 
   1. “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” - 2 Corinthians 12:9

1.  Anxiety can be a trigger that we are out of alignment as our roles as parents and tiptoeing on “god” roles and boundaries 
   1. Are you a parent or a god?”
   2. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. - Philippians 4: 6-8

1.  Are we relying on our own understanding and definition of parenting? Trying to “heal” or “undo'' generational curses in our own strength and knowledge.
   1. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5
   2. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”

declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” - Isaiah 55:8-9

1. Leaving the kids with a sitter to have 1 on 1 time with bae 
   1. “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” - Psalm 127:3
   2. “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” - Psalm 37:17-20

Topic: Do I have to lose my identity?

1. You don’t lose your identity / you do become NEW tho

5. you should be self-less \\ you should change/grow

a. surrender is the core of motherhood and marriage - finding yourself in the role God’s placed you in. that’s your flesh dying to itself.  b. people attached to you are impacted by the decisions you make, you have no choice to become new c. "When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the childish ways behind me." -  1 Corinthians 13:11

1. Know who you are in Christ
   1. YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND AND NEEDED!
   2. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” - Ephesians 2:10 ESV
   3. YOU ARE CALLED SECURE THE BAG

Topic: The realities of being a mom: a ton of work without the cultured compensation (money). 

1.  Struggles of being obedient, content, and joyful in this position
   1. Hebrews 13:5 ESV - “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
2.  Living in a time where people show their highlight reel constantly on IG. Importance of guarding our hearts against jealousy, discontentment, and heart posture.
   1.  “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” - Proverbs 4:23
3. The unseen is intimate and important. Not only to the development as a woman, wife and mom, but as a profitable entrepreneur.
   1. “So that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” - Matthew 6:4
   2. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. - Matthew 6:6

1.  Setting our hearts on Him (rooted) and not money, prioritizing, etc,
   1. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33

Topic: The importance and necessity of a village

1. Establishing a surrendered house and business necessitates help (or a village).
A. Builds humility.
B. James 4:2-3 “You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

2. Stepping out of the “strong” Black woman mentality into “surrendered” Black woman. Depend on God and the people He has sent to help you. 
3. Speak up, advocate for yourself, tap in to your village. 
A. “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” - Matthew 7:7
4. God did not intend for us to run a business and a household by ourselves “She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.” - Proverbs 31:15

1.  Overcoming the comparison and scarcity mindset by making sure what matters is what you invest in / dismissing the lie of lack
   1. “For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.” - 1 Timothy 4:8

Topic: Living joyfully with home as our first ministry

1. Check your ambition. Understanding home blesses the hustle - not the other way around.
   1. The family is widely considered as the first institution, the elementary cell of social life. It's here that one begins his/her learning's: mutuality, civility, manners, discipline, relationship, identity, faith, etc.
2. Serve your home, not the money. 
   1. Sometimes “generational wealth” can be a guise for prioritizing our “business” or our “hustle” of the needs of our family. 
   2. Matthew 6:24 -- “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

1.  Hustle before home breeds discontentment (irritated because you’d rather do what’ll please an immediate convenience/let you blow the bag)
   1. “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said” Hebrews 13:5

1.  Continue to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
   1. Romans 12:2 -- “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
