What a way to resume a fresh season, guys! In the takeoff episode for season 3, Nassy and Kenny spent their Saturday night at the #GlobalCitizenFestival at the Black Star Square in Accra. They were struck by the star-studded line-up which included Usher, SZA, Stormzy, Sarkodie, Tems, Gyakie, and Stonebwoy among others.

The event has been touted as the best in Ghana this year, and the sounds on this opening edition of the Millennial Street Podcast will show you why.

KiDi won his first-ever Artiste of the Year Award at the just-ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He beat stiff competition from Black Sherif, King Promise, Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie and Joe Mettle to emerge winner.

KiDi also swept away some of the biggest awards on the night especially with his hit song ‘Touch It’.

But the event itself was considered by many as basic with very little wow factor, especially in the face of new competition from the 3Music Awards.

With that being said, the enthusiasts invited onto this episode had varying reasons why they loved the 2-day show and what could have improved the whole makeup of the awards scheme.

Gambo's despicable attempt to fondle a presenter, Black Sherif's 'Teletubbies' attire and Famaye's songwriter award are a few of the things discussed.

What started as a mere petition to a mother has developed into a full-blown mobilisation point with many waiting patiently to see how it all unfolds at a school in Sakaman, Accra.

For many who had their basic education in Ghana, the concept of 'Our Day' may not be farfetched as some carried their favourite foods and beverages along to commemorate the end of an academic term.

In what is about to be one of the most sought-after celebrations of this conventional milestone, a Primary 3 pupil who sought to petition his mother about a list of items, is now the talk of the town.

Corporate Ghana and individuals rose to the occasion and showered him with gifts together with his favourite teacher, Mrs Appiah.

Social media has been reacting to this development including a donation that Oswald's family subsequently made later on the weekend.
