The Final Episode of Hoops Talk comes with NBA Free Agency. Max contracts for superstars across the league including Ja Morant, Nikola Jokic, and Zion Williamson. Jalen Brunson gets a huge deal to head to NYC. Surprising trade involving Malcolm Brodgon, Rudy Gobert, and Dejounte Murray. The Playmaker talks everything free agency on this 4th of July and final episode of Hoops Talk. 

Well, there will be no sweeping in the West as the Dallas Mavericks avoid the humiliation in Game 4 at home. Now the West Finals head back to the Bay Area. In the East, it's the best 2 out of 3 between the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. All four game in the East Finals have been blowouts but now who wants it more. 

Our thoughts and prayers goes out to Uvale, Texas and Robb Elementary School from yesterday's mass shooting.

Well, the Conference Finals are set, and last season's Finals have been eliminated. The Champs took one on the chin in 2nd half due to a breakout performance from an unlikely person in Boston. For the Suns, Luka and the Mavs walked into Phoenix and completely embarrassed CP3 and company in front of the Suns' faith of epic proportion. The heat in the playoffs have turned up to another level. Speaking of heat, the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns were scorching hot last night to take the pivotal 3-2 leads. Milwaukee and Boston will have their Game 5 tonight in Boston while the Grizzlies received bad news on Ja Morant but have to focus Game 5 elimination game tonight. Seven series in the first round were clinched this week including a sweep in Brooklyn and the Bucks are set for a collision course with the Celtics. The Big Three of the 76ers put an examination point in Toronto and now South Beach awaits. Luka Doncic and the Mavs doing something they haven't done since 2011 and Chris Paul added perfection in New Orleans. Also, The Playmaker addresses the Twitter fury sent by one Kyrie Irving while previewing Game 6 between the Grizzlies and Timberwolves.

NBA Playoffs continue to get compelling as the three series in West are tied at 2-2 including the best two teams in the NBA. The Raptors and Nuggets said no to being swept at home but have to go on the road to survive the inevitable. Miami and Milwaukee displayed their dominance on the road in East.

The regular season is officially over and now we are in the Play-In stage in the NBA. Eight teams fighting for four spots to be in the NBA Playoffs. 

Tuesday night will be Cleveland at Brooklyn and LA Clippers at Minnesota for the right to clinch the seventh seed in both conferences. 

Wednesday night will be Charlotte at Atlanta and San Antoino at New Orleans for the right to play Friday in Win or Go Home matchups.

The Women's NCAA Tournament is through the first weekend and MADNESS was all over it. Eight upsets took place. Princeton starting the upset blaze off, but South Dakota is becoming the Cinderella story in the ladies' tournament. Notre Dame had a performance for a long time.

There is a scoring madness going on the NBA. LeBron James, Karl-Anthony Town, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving making scoring look so easy. 50 piece here. 60 piece there. 10,000 career assist mark for LeBron James and it didn't matter because the Lakers are terrible and the New York Knicks. The Playmaker has a bone to pick with the NBA.

Oh, March is in the air and Spring is around the corner. The weekend of basketball was filled with madness both professionally and collegiately. Two 50-points performances, a 40-point performance and a 40-point triple-double in an overtime comeback all took in the NBA this weekend along with upset in Texas. But when you talk madness, college ball comes to mind, 11 tickets punched to the Big Dance. 3 from the men's side and 8 from the women's including a massive upset in conference championship. For one university history was made in both sports.

This past weekend in basketball provided some good things some bad things, and some awful things. All-Star Weekend had some changes to several events that were good, but the slam dunk wasn't one of those unfortunately. The All-Star game itself provided an interesting game as it had doing for a few years now. The Akon boys stole the show especially the younger of the two. 

In the collegiate level, the season is down to two weeks and upsets took their place in in the Big Ten and SEC respectively. Then there was Madison, Wisconsin where the focus of the basketball is fixated on due to an end of game melee starting with coaches. 

No King James in Philly as the Los Angeles Lakers faced Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers. The Splash Brothers come alive in Golden State as the Warriors went up against the surprising Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA All-Star Starters were announced last night with King James and Kevin Durant being voted as captains for the second consecutive year. 

Halfway through the NBA season and there are some surprising teams and disappointing teams this season. The Playmaker posted that a certain team was the most disappointing team in the NBA and ended up causing a blow back on social media. Now this episode is center around the topic of "Most Disappointing" Team this season with votes from social media to help this topic. A recap of last night action in basketball and games to watch this week. 

Martin Luther King Weekend has come and gone. This weekend of basketball was filled with excellent play, interesting games, and upsets in both the NBA and College. 

The men and women colligate hoops this weekend was incredible. One state show 5 upsets take place and 4 of them by one school. 

The National Championship was a good one last night, but the NBA had some surprising games last night. Kyrie Irving next game was against a depleted Blazers team. The Hornets played hosted to the World Champs and more. For the first in season 3 of Hoops Talk, College Ball makes the show. Baylor is one of two teams undefeated but as dominate as last year's championship team. The Mountain West looking a conference of six potential tournament teams including Colorado St. who is a surprising 13-1 on the season. 

It's the first episode of the New Year for Hoops Talk. Episode 3 of Season 3 will be featured around the NBA. The first opportunity to gives flowers to Stephen Curry as the greatest shooter ever how he ended 2021. The Warriors are tops in the NBA currently and the West is top heavy as of now with Phoenix and Utah right there. Memphis is making noise especially after last night's game in Brooklyn. Speaking of Brooklyn, they were hit by COVID hard and now Kyrie is set to make his debut tomorrow? Milwaukee another East team hit hard by COVID, finding themselves trying to get back on track as the Chicago Bulls lead the East. Recap of last night's games and what games to watch this week going forward. 

A week and half into the 75th Anniversary Season of the NBA. The LA teams are struggling early including losing a 26-point lead to a winless team. Chicago, Charlotte, Washington, and New York has off to great starts to the season in the East while Boston and Brooklyn looking to right the ship early.

We have hit the knockout stage in Olympic Basketball. The Women will get started on Wednesday Morning as the ladies will face Australia in the Quarterfinals 12:40AM EST. The men's team played their Quarterfinals matchup earlier this morning against World rival Spain. A strong 2nd Half led by Kevin Durant pushed Team USA into the Semifinals on Thursday. 

The NBA Free Agency began yesterday and a lot of moves was made especially out West. The Lakers signed four former players to their roster after acquiring Russell Westbrook last week in a trade. Chris Paul re-signed with the Phoenix Suns for the max. Trae Young gets the max extension from the Hawks and NBA Free Agency to discuss on this episode of Hoops Talk.

USA Basketball is still in the Preliminary Round for both men's and women's. The men's team are now 1-1 after a dominating performance versus Iran early in the morning. A much-needed and performance for the men led by Damian Lillard. The ladies are one game in their run for a 7th consecutive gold medal, defeating Nigeria on yesterday morning. A'Ja Wilson led the way in her Olympic debut.

A NBA Champion has been crowned. Congratulations to the Milwaukee Bucks, 2021 NBA Champions. Finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo put on his best performance on the biggest game in Bucks' history. Dropping FIFTY POINTS to close out the Phoenix Suns in Game 6, to bring the city of Milwaukee another championship since 1971, FIFTY YEARS AGO. 

With the NBA Season over, doesn't mean Hoops Talk is over because now the focus turns to Tokyo. The 2020 Olympics is here and both the men and women's USA basketball teams are looking for Gold Medal yet again. On the women's side, going for a seventh straight Gold Medal is the journey. With Dawn Stanley coaching, Sue Bird and Diana Taursai leading the team, the USA Women's are primed and ready for number seven. On the men's side however, there are some questions going into Tokyo. Dropping the first exhibition games to Nigeria and Australia before beating Spain, the men's USA team has some things to workout. The men are going for their fourth Gold Medal, but it may not be a smooth ride this go around.

The Milwaukee Bucks took care of business in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Winning 120-100 over the Phoenix Suns cut the series deficit to 2-1 Phoenix. Giannis put himself in rare company by going for another 40-pt double-double in the Finals. Holiday came through to provide help for Giannis. Devin Booker for the Suns had his worst game of these playoffs with inly 10 points. Game 4 is tonight and the pressure is on the Bucks to defend homecourt again. 

In other news, dive into the USA Men's Basketball team as the Tokyo Olympics is just 8 days. The USA team have struggled in the exhibition games losing the first two games before winning the third game on last night. This Men's team on paper is not feared like the others teams of the past. Pop and company have two more exhibition games before Tokyo.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals went to the home team, Phoenix Suns. Chris Paul was great, Devin Booker was good, and Deandre Ayton dominated inside. Giannis played great in return from injury, but the others failed to step up despite Khris Middleton scoring 29 points which came mostly in the 2nd half. Adjustments is a must for Mike Budenholzer and the Milwaukee Bucks going into Game 2 tonight.

The NBA Finals are set to be tonight. 9pm EST exclusively on ABC. 

The Milwaukee Bucks out of the East against the Phoenix Suns out of the West. The Bucks haven't been this far since 1974 (last time they won the championship). The Suns haven't to the Finals since 1993. Chris Paul finally in the Finals in 16 years. Giannis health is in question for Game 1.

One half of the NBA Finals was determined last night. Congratulations to the Western Conference Champions, The Phoenix Suns. Finishing off the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 6. The first Finals appearance since 1993. 

The Eastern Conference Finals is tied 2-2 going into Game 5 tonight. No Giannis Antetokoumnpo for the Milwaukee Bucks with the hyperextension in his knee. The status of Trae Young is up in the air for the Atlanta Hawks with the deep bone bruise in the ankle. In a pivotal Game 5, the will of one team will show and put them one game away from the Finals.

The Western Conference could be on the verge of ending tonight. The Phoenix Suns are one win away from the NBA Finals. Despite, the play of the Suns, it's the Clippers fault for the Suns to be where they are up 3-1 with Game 5 in Phoenix. Paul George struggles in the big moments has Chris Paul on the verge on a deserving trip. 

The Eastern Conference Finals are showing the struggles of the Atlanta Hawks after dropping to straight games including Game 3 in Atlanta last night. Milwaukee could say this series should be 3-0, but they let the Hawks steal Game 1. A blowout in Game 2 to even the series and an early 15-point comeback last night has momentum with the Bucks. Trae Young needs help, but no one is joining the party.

We are down to the Final Four in the NBA Playoffs. One teams hasn't won a title since the 70s. Another team hasn't won a title since the 50s. The other two have never won an NBA Title. One team has made the Conference Finals for second time in three season, another since 2007. One team has made it's first ever Conference Finals appearance. 

Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals has been played between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns. A thrilling start to that series without major players out. 

The Eastern Conference Finals is set to begin on Wednesday between the Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks.

The remaining three series enter the Best 2 out 3 as they all had Game 5's to play. Kevin Durant shined in the 2nd Half vs. the Bucks on Tuesday Night. There's a problem in the camp of the 76ers after their Game 5 performance against the Hawks. PG13, Paul George, looked like Playoff P in Utah over Donovan Mitchell.

Congratulations to the Phoenix Suns on reaching the Western Conference Finals. Disappointing way for the Denver Nuggets to go out and The Playmaker will explain why. The Joker being ejected for is one reason where something worst happened in another series and nothing happen. Injury to Kyrie Irving last night find the Brooklyn Nets themselves in a brand new series with the Milwaukee Bucks. Philly up 2-1 on Atlanta, the Hawks must response in Game 4. The Clippers looked great in Game 3, but still down 2-1. The Conference Semis continue to heat up.

The Conference Semifinals are in full swing now. Every series except the Clippers/Jazz series are two games in and series are shifting. Philadelphia responded in Game 2 to even the series but it's off to the ATL where the Hawks are fly high. Brooklyn and Phoenix defended homecourt convincingly as both teams are set for two road games. In those two series however, the Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets are searching for answers after receiving beat downs in Game 2. There a couple of players, The Playmaker is looking to step up at home to be the second best player on their respective teams.

Memorial Weekend has passed and a lot of action took place in the NBA Playoffs. One series ended in a clean sweep, all the others going to at least Game 5. Injuries became the theme over the weekend as some series turn a major turn especially with Anthony Davis and Luka Doncic. With that being said, the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers have control of home court again. Utah looks like the top team with Spida Mitchell after dropping Game 1. The Nets and Hawks are in command of their series while the Wizards survived for an extra game.
