Listen - I love a strong female lead as much as the next girl, but sometimes its fun to be a little footloose and fancy free, you know? In this episode Jasmin and I break down the pros and cons of introducing this archetype into a story, and whether or not these characters retain value when they are in service of a man's journey. Like anything, these characters can be done well, or very, very poorly - so please listen in to hear us discuss how 500 Days of Summer is one of the few films that actually gets this sort of character very, very right.
