Pandemic Art Therapy
This past summer, I signed up for a 5 Day Challenge Art Journal workshop because, I needed a creative artsy outlet to let off some steam.  It was quite therapeutic. In this podcast, I talk about my experience in the workshop and other ways I channel my creativity during this pandemic, and the idea that we all don't have to be super artists but just have the want to be creative in our own unique ways. Thank you for listening to my podcast and please be sure to stop by my blog at:  https://the40andoverproject.com and join my Facebook group at: www.facebook.com/groups/the40andoverprojectpodcast

Hot Planner Summer
We can all agree that 2020 has been absolutely nuts! However, one thing that 2020 has afforded me is the opportunity to slow down, reassess, review, and most importantly, write things down! In this podcast, I discuss my movement towards using paper planners again, a practice I had gotten out of the habit of before the pandemic.  I have found paper planners, planning, and writing things down during this pandemic to be quite helpful. I already created my podcasts for October, however, this is bonus material because I just felt the need to share. This week, 45 stated that, 1) don't late Coronavirus get you down, and 2) This is something we should get used to as normal, like the flu. No, this is not normal. Please VOTE on November 3.

No Justice. No Peace.
Before you write the Black Lives Matter Movement off, just remember, if freedom is what you celebrate, you must understand that both the celebration of freedom and an effort to move the needle of what it means to be free forward, can indeed coexist, because, well…. This is America. I originally blogged about this topic on the 4th of July this past summer, but I wanted to share the topic on the podcast because I believe it is a topic that is relevant year round. Thank you for listening and please share. And be sure to stop by my blog: https://the40andoverproject.com and join the Facebook group at:  www.facebook.com/groups/the40andoverprojectpodcast

#ClubQuarantine 90s Hip Hop Playlist
Given the amount of time it looks like we'll be spending in the house over the next few weeks, a lot of DJs, famous and not so famous, are entertaining the masses with virtual dance parties. I thought I would take us back a bit to review a list of Top 90s Hip Hop Songs, specifically those songs that were the best dance songs. Now, the list is not mine, but I do agree with alot of the songs on the list. Make sure you join my Facebook discussion group at www.facebook.com/thecliquepodcast

Let's take our minds off this Coronavirus pandemic for just a few minutes and reminisce. Do you remember your first favorite rap song/album? Your first favorite rock/pop music crush? We're not 20 anymore!
As we get older and our bodies change, the notion of having fun also changes. Some of us, unfortunately can't do the same things we used to do in our 20s, in our 40s. How has that affected your social life? How does if affect how you approach attending reunions, college gatherings, going out with your friends, etc? the clique. Is Romance Dead?
In this episode, on the cusp of Valentine's Day, I reminisce on dating back in the day, the 80s/90s to be specific. After watching another episode of that 90s TV show, Living Single, I reflect on how Overton took the time to plan a date for Sinclair, featuring everything she liked. My question, in 2020, is, do men still do that? Is planning a date for your significant other a lost art? Or do men leave it up to women? Or whatever your dating situation may be? Share your thoughts. And be sure to join the discussion on the Facebook group, www.facebook.com/theclique

the clique. episode 2. friendships in your 40s.
In the 90s we had TV shows like Martin, Living Single, Girlfriends,  and Friends that focused on friendships. They all had strong friend groups. Over the years I've developed some great relationships with people. College? Work experiences? Different parts of the country?  Different backgrounds? How have strong friendships shaped your life? Have your friendships been long lasting? When we are young we experience breakups, etc. As we grow older,  in our 40s, we experience marriages, divorces, child births, graduations, housewarmings, deaths, health scares, etc. Have your friends been there for you? If so, how? Vice Versa, how have you been there for them? Do you consider yourself a good friend? Thank you for listening to the clique.
