The7Realms: The Seven Realms of Spiritual Consciousness

I remember a conversation, with my children, sometime just after my 50th birthday (after the death of my mother). They mentioned that they had never seen me cry. A strange thing to note I thought, but was it true? I thought about it, and I guess it was true. They had never seen me cry. I thought maybe I had felt like crying before but didn’t. And then I remembered something. I did all my crying ‘inside’. Not outwardly. I had learned to do this at a very young age, and it had served me well. I had trained myself not to cry. I was taught, ‘Big boys don’t cry.’ ‘Real men don’t cry.’ Right? But for me it was something more.

Patient after patient I slowly began to solidify one conviction. The belief that there is no true healing of the physical man, without acknowledging the spiritual man.

Even as a physician (a healer of the physical man) the reality was clear to me. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience but rather we are indeed spiritual beings having a human experience.

Thus, the physical disease of human beingness emanates from the dis-ease of spiritual beingness, and the manifestation of disease is more a product of spiritual unwellness than it is the essence of physical unwellness.

Unbeknownst to me, born as a black male child in the social discord of the 1960s, to parents of grandparents who survived the Great Depression, just two generations removed from slavery, I was already destined to be embattled with the generational curse of identification of self: self-esteem, self-worth, self-realization, and self-actualization, just to name a few.

What is the difference between an earthly gift and a spiritual one? I believe that both these gifts originate from God. I believe God is the source of all things, including all gifts, whether they be earthly or spiritual.

I define an earthly gift as a gift from God for which His child uses on earth for the good of mankind. This gift is often expressed as a service or profession by which you share your knowledge, or skill set, or your area of expertise with others.

I believe the spiritual gift is also from God. The spiritual gift and the earthly gift are similar in that they both denote a service given to others. However, I believe the spiritual gift comes from somewhere outside of us and often goes unrecognized for a period, particularly when one’s focus is on their earthly gift.

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

"What then shall we say of these things, if God be for us, who can be against us?"

"For I consider that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us."

"Therefore brothers we are debtors, not to the flesh,... but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

"There is therefore now, no condemnation"- it is by grace we are saved.

As spiritual beings having a human experience, I share with the listener how I believe we are created in a realm of perfect spiritual wellness and we are one with The "I AM".
