TMDK | [From the Vault]
On this episode of From the Vault, Jay Cal goes back to 2012 to speak to TMDK.  The Mighty Don't Kneel were a tag team from Australia's Explosive Pro Wrestling, who found footing in the United States through EPW's working relationship with David Marquez and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Separately the duo had traveled to the United States and achieved some success as independents.  But it wasn't until the duo became a tag team that they inevitably became one of the hottest tag teams of their time.  After holding the EPW Tag Team Titles for 245 days the pairing set forth to work Internationally.  With stops across Australia, the duo would work with the Kensuke Office in 2011, and by the end of the year, they were working regularly for Pro Wrestling Noah. A brief hiatus from NOAH would see them travel yet again to the states to work with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, but soon they would begin to work for Ring of Honor, Ohio Valley Wrestling, and Impact.  By 2013 the pair would be almost exclusive to NOAH and would work there until being signed by the WWE's NXT in 2015.  The pair first went by TM-61, but would later change their name to The Mighty.  By 2018, Nichols asked for and was granted his release from the WWE.  He wanted to be closer to home. Nichols would go on to spend most of 2019 working with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Haste who did go by Shane Thorne in the WWE as of late has joined the main roster with the Retribution Stable and now wrestles under the name SlapJack.

A Brief History of the NWA Titles appearing in Japan |#JayCalsView
Effective in 1993, New Japan Pro Wrestling left the National Wrestling Alliance (along with WCW). This left the NWA without a cornerstone promotion to magnify its World Champions. And despite the connection to New Japan, the NWA found connections in the Far East that would help to promote the NWA Brand and strengthen its claim to be the World's Largest Sanctioning Body of Professional Wrestling.  On this podcast, we examine the relationship that the NWA had with wrestling promotions from Japan and speak about exactly where NWA World Champions would spend time in the Land of the Rising Sun. Since 1995, the NWA would have champions represented by wrestling promotions like Wrestle Yume Factory, IWA Japan, UFO, Zero One Fighting Athlete, and Diamond Star Wrestling.   Every Tuesday at 5 pm Eastern, 2 pm Pacific we do a live stream at YouTube.com/TheAllianceBlog to discuss News and Information for the National Wrestling Alliance For more information about the Alliance, please visit Alliance-Wrestling.com

[From the Vault] Chase Owens
Chase Owens was slated to challenge the “Modern Day Hero” Kevin Douglas to a match for the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship.  Although he  is now known as  the Crown Jewel of the Bullet Club, then Owens was called the “Real Deal.” A Wrestling prodigy that lived up to his name in every sense of the word.  Mentored by Ricky Morton, Owens had faced off against Douglas as the finals of the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Tournament “Revival” roughly a year before this content. Douglas wasn't able to defend the title and it was decided that Matt Conard, Zac Vincent, and Owens would battle for the Championship.  Owens would go on to win that title. Owens would become a three-time NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Owen’s prowess impressed the New Japan front office, who would hire him to compete in New Japan back in 2014 and he wouldn’t look back. On this episode of From the Vault, the Alliance Guys Podcast speak at length with Chase Owens who at the time was becoming a breakout star for NWA Smoky Mountain (Innovative Pro Wrestling).  We would talk about his mentorship with Ricky Morton, his feud with Matt Sigmon, and the showdown that never was. Remembering Danny Hodge
Danny Hodge was the living embodiment of an MMA fighter, maybe 40 years too early.  Hodge was one of the most successful collegiate wrestlers of all time, a Gold Gloves Champion, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and held the NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship a combined 4,141 days. He's celebrated in many Hall Of Fames around the country. Hodge passed away at the age of 88 on Christmas Day 2020. May he Rest In Peace.

Thoughts about the NWA in 2020 | JayCalsView
Looking back at 2020 could be a bit painful.  Especially if you're the NWA.  So many plans laid to waste because of Covid-19. The NWA rolled through some of the hardest punches it has ever seen and still finds a way to elevate not only the talent but it's championship titles.  2020 will go down as one of the worst years in the history of the NWA, which means in 2021, the NWA can only move forward.

Shocked by Shockwave | #JayCalsView
#NWAShockwave was set to debut its second episode on the NWA YouTube Channel.  The first episode of the program was well-received by an NWA audience who didn't pay for Prime Time Live.  But with the first episode encouraged growth overall to the channel.  And the NWA strategy of partnering the new releases with already released video has really helped invigorate the struggling channel.  Jay also comments on how he thinks the program could have been better and what they could have done to make it more meaningful.   Please visit www.alliance-wrestling.com

#PrimeTimeLIVE on Hiatus | #JayCalsView
After 12 solid weeks, the United Wrestling Network has placed #PrimeTimeLIVE on hiatus.  With greater restrictions placed in the State of California due to the increased number of positive Covid-19 test results, David Marquez made the tough decision to stop production for the rest of the year.  The greater risks for the talent and production proved to be too costly.  With the weekly pay per view taking a break, the fans are left with the cliff hanger of Who will be the first-ever UWN World Champion.   Please visit Alliance-Wrestling.com

Interview with Barrett Brown | #TheAllianceGuysPodcast
We are grateful for the friends we have made along the way of producing this weekly podcast this year. From DKM, Kevin Frazier, and Jay Cal we wish you the best Thanksgiving possible. Please enjoy your family and feast. On this special episode of The Alliance Guys Podcast, two NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Champions discuss what that championship means. Neither man had lost that title. Barrett Brown was the last man to hold the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship prior to the ownership change. The title's history was officially sealed before the NWA 70th Anniversary Show. There was precedent set that if the NWA were to revive the Jr. Heavyweight Division, that Barrett Brown would be recognized as champion, but it doesn't look like the title will be back any time soon. Initially recorded as part of the an Introspective of the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Division, Barrett Brown discusses his time with the NWA, working for both Ken Taylor's NWA Southwest and working for the NWA in Texas under Bruce Tharpe's ownership. We spend time reflecting on what it meant for him to win the World Jr. Heavyweight Championship, his teaming with Kevin Frazier, and more. We discuss his time working with New Japan of America and what's next for the world class athlete. [From the Vault] The Alliance Guys Podcast with Michael Faith
Most wrestler who reach the 300lbs mark are not typically known for their high flying prowess. But then again, most 300lbs. wrestlers aren't the Largeador, Michael Faith. The two time former NWA Texas Champion and reigning NWA-OK Oklahoma Champion has defied not only the laws and of gravity, but the definitions of what a Big Man should be. Faith has the ability to devastate opponents with a powerbomb or take an arching leaping lionsault on to his next victim. Michael Faith was the NWA Texas Champion earlier this month when he was forced to tap out to former WWE Superstar Charlie Haas. The Largeador rebounded to win the NWA-OK Oklahoma Championship a few weeks later. And on October 2nd the Red River Rivalry, Michael Faith will step into the ring with another former Alliance Radio Guest and the reigning NWA National Heavyweight Champion, Phil Shatter. There is no telling what kind of destruction and devastation will take place at the Western Oklahoma State College Gymnasium. But before his big opportunity to become a double champion, the Largeador will join Alliance Radio to talk about his career, his time working in Japan and Texas, Teaming with Lance Hoyt, The VooDoo Murders, his thoughts on the man who took his Texas Championship Charlie Haas and the man he faces for the NWA National Title. And we'll take your calls!!!

The NWA Resting on It's Laurels? | #JayCalsView
There is so much hype for NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.  Beyond a shadow of a doubt his impact in the NWA will be felt for generations to come. We don't get to the NWA POWERRR era without "The National Treasure."  But remember, we don't get to Nick Aldis without getting to what kept the NWA relevant.  Tim Storm, Jax Dane, Rob Conway, Satoshi Kojima, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, all on the backs of the men before them, including "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce. Aldi's first run as NWA Champion was nearly flawless.  But I wouldn't call Nick Aldis the greatest NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion of all time.  I wouldn't even call him the greatest champion in the last twenty years.   New Merch Alert: https://streamlabs.com/theallianceblog1/merch/2001413 Inspired by the #NWAShowcase, designed by heyitswil , these will be on special through the end of the year.  $16.00  sizes larger than $2 more for 2XL, $3 for 3XL.  Thanks for supporting our efforts! The Pre Party With Jay Cal launched on November 5th 2019 with the goal of helping to get fans of the National Wrestling Alliance updated with news and information before NWA POWERRR.  Each Tuesday, a head of Prime Time LIVE, Jay Cal breaks down all the news and information for UWN and NWA.  The show live streams on YouTube and Twitch live at 5PM Eastern and 2PM Pacific.

The Alliance Guys Podcast | October 29th
On this episode the Alliance Guys Podcast... Wait, a new World Woman's Champion!?!?  Congrats to Serena Deeb who did the unexpected, by taking the Burke off of Thunder Rosa, a feat that I don't think anyone saw coming.   Collectively, the trio agrees that this was the best show of the seven episodes this far.  Each match was solid.  Each match had plenty of time to tell a story, to breathe, to suck you into it.  More so than that, the matches weren't just good.  They were borderline great!  And even in defeat, the losers looked liked stars!   Plus we chat with you the #NWAFam.   And as a surprise, Danny Limelight called in to tell us he wanted a shot at Lio Rush who debuts next week on #PrimeTimeLIVE.   It's getting cold outside, make sure you pick up an authorized Alliance-Wrestling Sweater from the Merch Store - https://streamlabs.com/theallianceblog1/merch/1600827

October 20th | Preparty with Jay Cal
We are entering six weeks of #PrimeTimeLIVE as presented by the United Wrestling Network in conjunction with the National Wrestling Alliance.  For the past six months we have witnessed Champions showcase their prowess inside the squared circle.  We have been introduced to a variety of characters we may not have otherwise noticed.  We’ve been a part of history being made with new champions being crowned and other champions fading away.  For six weeks PTL has paid off stories from around the Network and the NWA.  Tonight the legend will continue to grow as we have two title matches scheduled as well as announced brackets of the United Wrestling Network World Heavyweight Championship Tournament, which will kick off next week. What better way to celebrate the life and luster of PTL then with the Pre Party with Jay Cal.  For  the past 34 weeks Jay Cal has hyped up the NWA and the United Wrestling Network every Tuesday at 5pm Eastern.  Today is no different. This week we will be talking about the new United Wrestling Network TV Champion.  We will talk about the title matches that NWA World Woman’s Champion Thunder Rosa has lined up and more.

This episode is dedicated to positivity.  In the way of the 22-year-old budding Joshi Star Hana Kimura who recently ended her life over what amounts to cyberbullying.  Kimura who competed at Ring of Honor's G1 Supercard in MSG and was on the Stardom roster.  Cyberbullying is very real and we're very sad to hear of this.   Unrestricted Free Agents have started signing.  Brian Cage made his debut with All Elite Wrestling at Double or Nothing answering the question where he would show up next.  ROH recently re-signed the "Mercenary" Flip Gordon.  However, without promoting any new events, the NWA hasn't released any new signings.  However, after watching Inside the NWA, you know that Billy Corgan and David Lagana would love to work with Ethan Carter III aka EC3 again.  Could his Tyler Durden-esque promos land him into contention with the "National Treasurer" Nick Aldis?     Let's #talkNWA!    Please like, subscribe, and share this podcast.  We do a live stream every Tuesday at YouTube.com/TheAllianceBlog at 5:05 Eastern, 2:05 Pacific.   If you enjoy this podcast and would like to purchase a t-shirt, you can do so by clicking this link.  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5  For more information regarding the National Wrestling Alliance, please visit http://alliance-wrestling.com

David and I have been friends for nearly 20 years.  Every time we sit down for an interview, we end up talking for hours about his nearly 30 years with the NWA.  This podcast was very unique.  We spent almost two hours speaking about Marquez's experience in the world of wrestling.    David was born and raised in Southern California and even promoted his first wrestling event before a move to Missouri granted him an opportunity to become a part of a new wrestling company.  He breaks down how he got involved with Gordon Solie and Harley Race to form WLW.  The transition from returning to SoCal and becoming a producer/director for many independent wrestling promotions; UPW, XPW, EPIC, etc.    David also goes into detail about how he got connected with the Inoki Family, the Inoki Dojo, bringing the NJPW USA brand, and becoming a member of the NWA.  David goes into detail about how they went from running events in the Inoki Dojo to running events in huge arenas.  David also speaks about his efforts to help NJPW attempt to purchase the NWA.     We then get into Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and how it was impacted with the changes to NWA ownership and how it has benefited with the newest NWA Ownership.

PreParty: Enter Carnyland
With a heavy heart, we kick off the podcast with a moment of silence for Larry Csonka and Shad Gaspard. Please take a moment to send prayers or positive vibes to their families. Hello friends, Today we take a moment to celebrate the works of Larry Csonka, the voice of 411Wrestling.com. It was announced last night that he had passed away. I’m gutted. His writing voice inspired mine. We also say good-bye to “Absolute” Ricky Starks who has elected to become to a free agent and has walked away from the National Wrestling Alliance And tonight is the night when we venture out to “Carnyland.” So let’s all talk about it. Interview with Ricky Starks
Nick Aldis has constantly referred to Ricky Starks as the "1st Round Draft Pick" of the National Wrestling Alliance.  And with good reason in such a short time Ricky Starks has become one of the shining stars of the #NWA and it's weekly show #NWAPOWERRR.  "Absolute" Ricky Starks has leveraged himself into the TV Title Tournament that is taking place Friday at #NWAHardTimes.  But furthermore, he has proven he isn't the rising star of the National Wrestling Alliance, he is THE STAR of the NWA.     To Order Your Ricky Starks Merchandise visit https://rickystarks.bigcartel.com/  When ordering the NWA PPV #Hardtimes you should consider using a link that can save you some cash.  https://fite.tv/invite/n7nd41    If you'd like to buy a shirt - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5  Visit http://alliance-wrestling.com for all your #NWA News and Information   The Alliance Guys Podcast is in the 10th season and is a presentation of www.alliance-wrestling.com. Interview with Royce Isaacs
The meteoric rise of Royce Isaacs from pro wrestling standout from the Mile City to being a part of the hottest faction in professional wrestling today (Strictly Business) has been astonishing to watch.  The past few years have been kind to Isaacs has he has appeared in numerous "studio television" programs before finding high levels of success with Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and the National Wrestling Alliance.    Isaacs is a former United Wrestling Network Television Champion and a Hollywood Heritage Champion before becoming NWA Worlds Tag Team Champion with former Impact star Thomas Latimer.    In this interview, I check in with Royce about his well being during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  We also speak about his opportunities in Japan with DDT, his seasoning with Los Luchas at the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy, his time at Paragon Pro Wrestling, his feuds with Andy Brown and Bateman and his unlikely pairing with Latimer.

[From the Vault] The Alliance Guys Podcast with Bill Behrens
Few have worn as many hats in the world of professional wrestling that Bill Behrens.  From 2002 through 2004, Behrens was the president of the National Wrestling Alliance.  While acting as president, Behrens was the owner-operator of NWA Wildside, operating out of Cornelia Georgia, NWA Wildside was known for starting the careers of AJ Styles, Ron Killings, and showcasing the top indy talent in the country.  300 Consecutive weeks of Syndicated television aired before the promotion closed its doors in 2005.  Behrens continued to work closely with NWA Anarchy (the promotion that took the place of Wildside.) Behren talks about his history in the wrestling business, television syndication, the National Wrestling Alliance, and also spoke at length of the business of wrestling.  I humbly believe this is probably the best episode for people looking into starting in the wrestling business.  Behren’s had worked with the WWE as well as TNA in various roles.  And on the Independent Wrestling Scene, Behren’s has worked as a producer, a promoter, and currently heads the Show Business Inc., Wrestling Booking Agency.  When Bill Behren’s joins the Alliance Guys Podcast Saturday, June 15 we look forward to speaking about the business side of wrestling.  How to quantify success in independent wrestling?  Is promoting wrestling as easy as we (the fans) all think?  Which talents does he represent?  And we’ll be discussing his thoughts on working with the National Wrestling Alliance, the Allied Independent Wrestling Federation, and other such wrestling alliances.

talkNWA: Waxing Poetic about Jax Dane
Jax Dane makes was supposed to make his in-ring debut for NWA POWERRR, this Tuesday 6:05 Eastern on YouTube.com/NWA.  Obviously things have changed recently with the announcement that the NWA is pausing live event production until June.  Jax's history with the National Wrestling Alliance is mostly unknown to new NWA fans, but "Godzilla" was one of the unsung heroes of the NWA of the previous ownership era.   On this episode of #talkNWA, we talk about Jax's history in the National Wrestling Alliance.  Jax was a GrandSlam Champion, being a former NWA World Tag Team Champion (with Rob Conway), briefly unifying the NWA North American and NWA National Championships, and a former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.   If you want to order the replay of NWA Hard Times you can use this link to save $10.  https://www.fite.tv/invite/n7nd41  If you enjoy this podcast and would like to purchase a t-shirt, you can do so by clicking this link.  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5  For more information regarding the National Wrestling Alliance, please visit http://alliance-wrestling.com

talkNWA: Crockett Cup Cancelled!
We all knew the Crockett Cup 2020 was in jeopardy with the COVID-19 Pandemic.  And I was holding on to hope that things would be clearing up by now.  But it hasn't.  And the smart thing to do is to cancel the event due to the safety of all people involved.  But that doesn't mean we're happy about it.  You can read about the closing here (dlvr.it/RS0DYl).  But the scary part is what happens after two months of hiatus for the promotion and the wrestlers who are working for the NWA.

[From the Vault] The Alliance Guys Podcast with Jax Dane
We are only days away from the continuation of one of the biggest feuds of the National Wrestling Alliance in the last 10 years.  Tim Storm and Jax Dane are set to face off soon on an episode of #NWAPOWERRR, but long before being Worlds Heavyweight Champion or having Storm as a thorn in his side, Jax Dane was dominating the National Wrestling Alliance in the great state of Texas.  Dane would at one point unify all of the NWA affiliated Heavyweight Texas Championships.  And in this interview from 2013, Dane tells us more about breaking into the world of wrestling and what his future plans were.  To celebrate the World Champion's Birthday, give it a listen.   What are the images that pop into your head when you think of Godzilla?  How about a Giant?  How about Destruction or Devastation?  If you can pull off a nickname that includes Godzilla, it means that you are one bad dude.  “The Vanilla Godzilla” Jax Dane lives up the reputation of being big, hard to stop, and leaves a path of destruction where ever he goes.  Whether teaming with Rowe or as a singles wrestler is making a big name for himself in Texas When Jax joins the show we’ll talk about how Bryon Wilcot robbed the “Vanilla Godzilla” of his Lonestar Heavyweight Championship when Wilcot pinned  “Cowboy” James Claxon at the most recent NWA Houston Event.  We’ll ask the reigning Branded Outlaw of Wrestling Champion about his upcoming match on August 17 against former WWE and ROH Wrestler Charlie Haas.   We will inquire about Dane’s recent debut at NWA SAW, reuniting the Path of Resistance. We’ll also discuss the NWA World Champion and Jax’s close friend Rob Conway, who won the championship subbing for an injured Dane.  Since becoming Champion, Conway has travel to Japan to defend the title twice; we’ll ask Dane what it was like to be in Conway’s corner in Japan.  Plus we’ll discuss what is going on in his home state of Texas, his thoughts on the current top contenders in the NWA and his future plans, including if he has any plans to challenge his close friend.

Pre-Party NWA POWERRR 1/14
This weekend NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis has started his campaign, his retaliation to Marty Scurll and his Villains Enterprise by attacking Flip Gordon on Saturday Night and storming the opening of the show on Sunday.  Aldis has fortified his squad by adding former WCW World Champion "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, is a Inter-Promotional War brewing?  Will this impact NWA's Hardtimes Pay Per View?   Will there be retaliation on #NWAPOWERRR which airs every Tuesday at 6:05PM Eastern, via YouTube.com/NWA I'll also re-examine the Ring of Honor Relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance and how this "working agreement" could benefit both brands.    Plus we'll be talking the National Wrestling Alliance #talkNWA.    So joins us, won't you?   If you'd like to support the show, please order your Alliance T-Shirt on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5 For more NWA News and Information please visit: http://alliance-wrestling.com

Interview with David Lagana
The National Wrestling Alliance was once known as the oldest sanctioning body of professional wrestling in the United States.  Celebrating it's 71 years of existence the brand has had many highs and lows.     The current upswing the NWA can be attributed to Billy Corgan and David Lagana.  As Vice President of the NWA, Lagana's biggest challenge was to bring back relevancy to a championship belt that had seen better days.   Since the two years after Billy Corgan purchased the brand the NWA has had a bit of revival.  Kicking off the Ten Pounds of Gold all the way to the wildly popular YouTube Series #NWAPOWERRR     Jay Cal and David speak about the program, the Jim Cornette incident, the talent that has surprised him, and the growth of the brand.

On this episode of the Alliance Guys the fellas recap NWA POWERRR: One More Time... Kevin Douglas and Jay Cal approve of this week's offering of NWA POWERRR.  After what the Alliance Guys agree was a misstep last week, the duo agrees that this show was a step in the right direction, Leading to the NWA PPV Into the Fire.   James Storm believes he's a victim of the NWA's conspiracy.  Nick Aldis believes Storm is going to be a victim of his own aspirations.     Melina explains why she's in the NWA, which creates a confrontation between the Woman's Champion and Melina's Birds of Prey.     There is a direct look at the Question Mark as he invades the Wrestlecade Convention as well as the confrontation of former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and Japanese Wrestling Legend the Great Muta and the "National Treasure", Nick Aldis.   Lastly, the Wild Cards (Latimer and Isaacs) defend the NWA World Tag Team Championship against the Rock N Roll Express (Gibson and Morton).  Kevin is not a fan.  Jay and Kevin go back and forth on the merit of using wrestlers past their primes.     To order Into the Fire - http://alliance-wrestling.com/into-th...  If you'd like to buy a shirt - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5  The Alliance Guys Podcast is in the 10th season and is a presentation of www.alliance-wrestling.com. A Celebration of the Rock N Roll Express
2019 has been very kind to the Rock N Roll Express, a tag team that gained notoriety back in the mid-1980s.  Outside of competing at the NWA Crockett Cup 2019, feuding with the Briscoes in Ring of Honor,  appearing for NJPW USA teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi, later battling the Bullet Club, winning a 12 man tag team elimination match, working Ohio Valley, Bar Wrestling, and all in all making towns, it's been a stellar year for the tag team who has made their mark in the some 35 plus years they have been working as a tag team.   On this special episode of Jay Cal's View, we play the full audio from the VIP Meet & Greet from the Crockett Cup forum with the Midnight Express and the Rock N Roll Express.  It is no secret that Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson have been having a Come Back of the Year type run, the duo challenges Thomas Latimer and Royce Isaacs for the National Wrestling Alliance World Tag Team Titles this Tuesday on NWA POWERRR at 6:05 Eastern, make sure you tune in to see history made. The Alliance Guys Podcast: The Puppet Master
On this episode of the Alliance Guys... This Podcast was the first Podcast all year that didn't have one snafu.  Not one dropped call, not one dysfunctional camera, everything went magically from a technical standpoint.  Which is probably why we were so chaotic in our discussion.  First things first, Jay is really bad at taking notes.  Secondly, Jaden is probably going to wind up dead because of an Illuminati plot to silence him.  And DKM, well, he was actually in a good mood. This was the episode where Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana regains the NWA National Championship, The Dawsons give an answer to Outlaws Inc, and we determine that "Clickbait" Joe Galli might be the biggest heel on the show.  Plus who's the real puppet master of the NWA? The Alliance Guys Podcast: talkNWA POWERRR Episode 4 Recap
On this episode of the Alliance Guys...  At full force, the Alliance Guys #talkNWA with Episode 4 from #NWAPOWERRR.   At first, we speak about the multi-verse that was created by having The Wild Cards defend the NWA World Tag Team Championship at the Modist Madness event at Modist Brewery.  If the Rock N Roll Express showed of their tag team titles then how can Isaacs and Lattimer have a set of titles to defend... unless our to universes are converging and now we have two sets of NWA World Tag Team Champions.  It wouldn't be the first time. We briefly mention a disgraced POS who used to be the promoter of the Virginia area for the NWA, long before Billy Corgan bought the NWA. Next, we identify a recurring theme.  Why do the champions have so much POWER on POWERRR.  They chose who they defend the titles against.  They pick their opponents.  They also decide when.  Why does Nick Aldis get so convoluted with his match stipulations? 10 Years of Podcasting...
It seems like nowadays everyone has a podcast.  In fact, it is for that reason I was hesitant in starting this podcast, Jay Cal's View.  But, exactly ten years go to this day, I started my first podcast.  I have to admit, I was extremely nervous.  I didn't know how it would be received.  I didn't know if people would care or listen?   The show would change formats slightly early on from one person hosting the show to three.  My partners Jaden and DKM would join the show starting with episode three.  After the first 16 months, we changed the name to #talkNWA, a hashtag we still use to promote the show.  After the change in ownership of the National Wrestling Alliance in 2012, we made the decision to change the name to The Alliance Guys Podcast.   The goal was always to cover the entirety of the NWA since day one. So for your entertainment, here is the premiere episode of Alliance-Wrestling Radio.  I will freely admit that I was extremely nervous and was reading mostly from a script that a free thought.   If you care to watch the live video of the intro of this podcast, you can watch on our twitch channel. Blocked!!!
My content was blocked on Facebook... Unlike Snitsky, it was entirely my fault. Earlier this week I posted a video to twitch.tv/theallianceblog using content from All Elite Wrestling, without permission.  I also added the video to Facebook, knowing that this version was an actual upload and not a stream that I had to use with twitch.  I guess I just assumed that I wouldn't need to ask for permission for something that was only 30 some seconds long.  That wouldn't be the case.  Now thus far, the video is intact on Twitch, but I date not export to YouTube for I'm afraid I'll be flagged as using copyrighted material.   So Jay Cal's #HotTake will live for now on Twitch, but in case you wanted to hear my take on AEW not acknowledging Cody as a former Worlds Heavyweight Champion on their broadcasts, I've included it here.   And also, thanks for everyone that has continued to visit the site, listen to the podcast or have purchased a shirt.  Your support has meant everything to me.  Thank you.   Website - T-Shirts - YouTube - Twitch - Facebook -Instagram - Twitter

Things are blowing up at the Alliance-Wrestling studios.  First and foremost we're turning out content hand over fist to correspond with the NWA Studio show, #NWAPOWERRR.   On this episode of Jay Cal's View, we hand over the time to Jay Cal and Jaden as an abridged version of The Alliance Guys Podcast made exclusive to the listeners of the JCV.  The Alliance Guys Podcast was the original podcasting vehicle for the Alliance, starting back in 2009 when both DKM and Jaden joined Jay Cal for "Alliance Wrestling Radio."  The show would be used to promote upcoming NWA Wrestling events and feature interviews with NWA talent at the time.  The trio would go on to interview; Matt Borne, Lance Cade, Charlie Haas, Adam Pearce, Shawn Divari, Chance Prophet, Bill Behrens, David Marquez, and a host of others who were associated with the National Wrestling Alliance.  The show would change names over the years before settling on The Alliance Guys Podcast.  Please give us a listen as we #talkNWA and give some thoughts on the direction of the National Wrestling Alliance And also, thanks for everyone that has continued to visit the site, listen to the podcast, or has purchased a shirt.  Your support has meant everything to me.  Thank you.   Website - T-Shirts - YouTube - Twitch - Facebook -Instagram - Twitter

Just Call This Your NWA Studio TV Primer...
We are four days away to history being made at the Georgia Public Broadcasting studios when the National Wrestling Alliance returns to the format it made famous... Studio TV Tapings.  On this episode of Jay Cal's View, I run down some of the older NWA Regmine shows.  NWA Mountain State, NWA Smoky Mountain, NWA SAW, and of course the big daddy, NWA Hollywood aka Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.  I also lament on some of the talent I hope to see at the TV Taping.  While we're at it, I briefly talk about some of the storylines that is coming into Atlanta on September 30th.   Also, some updates with the site.  We've been covering the National Wrestling Alliance for well over a decade.  And we will continue to be the premier source of your NWA News and Information.   And also, thanks for everyone that has continued to visit the site, listen to the podcast, or has purchased a shirt.  Your support has meant everything to me.  Thank you.   Website - T-Shirts - YouTube - Twitch - Facebook -Instagram - Twitter

Jim Cornette Joins the NWA. The Worlds Championship Heading to AEW???
Today the NWA announced Jim Cornette joining the team.  Cornette will provide "Color Commentary" with Joe Galli for the upcoming return to studio produced television.  The shows are set to tape this in less than a month in Atlanta Georgia.  Cornette has been apart of the broadcasting team for each of the NWA shows since new ownership has taken over.  However the announcement isn't without controversy and we'll be talking about that. Also, he is know as the "Librarian" Peter Avalon in All Elite Wrestling.  But the self proclaimed biggest man in pro wrestling, international superstar Peter Avalon has a showdown with the "National Treasure" Nick Aldis on Saturday September the 14th in Mesa Arizona. Nearly 2 years in the making, we discuss the history that Avalon has with the National Wrestling Alliance and discuss, could the Ten Pounds of Gold be heading to AEW? Ten Pounds Of Gold... Down Never Out
Twenty-five years ago today, what ECW did to start their revolution nearly killed an institution.  Once the "Franchise" Shane Douglas tossed the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship to the ground and declared himself the ECW World Champion, he nearly extinguished the flame of the National Wrestling Alliance.  However much like the phoenix rising from the Ashes the NWA rebuilt, grew, and has become what it is today.   On this episode of Jay Cal's View we'll take a look at what happened to the NWA after it's desolation by ECW and how the NWA finally got redemption.  We'll also speak about which World Champions could appear on the NWA TV Show that's set to tape Sept. 30th in Atlanta Georgia. For NWA News and Information, please visit www.alliance-wrestling.com To support the podcast you can purchase the Alliance-Wrestling.com T-shirt -https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KMXQRB5

The Slant On Studio Television...
Thanks for listening to Jay Cal's View.  A presentation of www.alliance-wrestling.com.   On this episode Jay Cal pontificates on the prospects of who might be joining the National Wrestling Alliance on this foray into episodic television wrestling.  Former NWA National Champion Chance Prophet, reigning United Wrestling Network Tag Team Champions Reno Scum, Holidead, Thunder Rosa, Mancer, Greek God Papadon, former three time NWA Tag Team Champion Lance Hoyt, and David Starr were all quick to answer the NWA's call for talent.   Currently signed to the National Wrestling Alliance are Worlds Champion Nick Aldis, National Champion James Storm, Eli Drake, and Women's Champion Allysin Kay.  Expected, but not officially announced are former Worlds Champion Tim Storm, Jocephus, Crimson and Jax Dane, Thomas Latimer and Kamile.   Also, Jay Cal speculates who won't be involved.  Competing parties from Ring of Honor and Major League Wrestling along with All Elite Wrestling have certainly made it hard to lock up free agent talent.   While he's at it, Jay Cal ponders if the NWA had ever really left Studio Wrestling.  From JCP to Music City Wrestling, NWA Wildside (both of which I left forgot to mention on the podcast) to Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, the NWA has been mostly on studio style wrestling (on and off) for decades.   For more NWA related content please visit:  linktr.ee/thenwapod  Follow @theallianceblog on: youtube, twitter, facebook, or instagram

Eight Years Ago: What Could Have Been - Pearce vs. Sheik
Eight years ago "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce defeated former NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Rave, then National Champion Chance Prophet, and then North American Champion Shaun Tempers in a four way match to fill the vacant NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship in Columbus Ohio at the Ohio State Fair.   You can watch the match here.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1qymXPaDME&fbclid=IwAR2tN4fPHONwJWA62AVn0WLqQhVBapNfAPGO7LI8LRrptjZNeFUy0r7Zh9s  Despite the animosity the duo had for each other, a match between Adam Pearce and the Sheik could have legitimately launched the authentic era some eight years before David Lagana coined the phrase.  So why didn't the match happen?  In this episode of Jay Cal's View I take a look back at the events that led up to the change in the originally billed match.  And what it means to the NWA because of it. Jay Cal's View: 1 Year In the Making
One year ago, I had touched down in Wenzhou China.  The plan was simple.  Evaluate what you are doing and determine if it makes sense to continue to produce the alliance-wrestling.com.  Make an executable plan to make the website more sustaining and create more traffic.  I had some big goals.  Did I accomplish them?  Am I going to continue with the site?  What are some of my memories from China?

June 14th I spent the evening celebrating the Birthdays of both Ray Rosas and Peter Avalon. It was at a wrestling show. It was at their wrestling show. It was a surprise birthday party! Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself
It's been a minute. Trying to get back at this deal. I was able to get two articles published on a prominent wrestling website. Busy creating content, I'll be at a special wrestling event this Thursday, hopefully catching some interviews and photos. I still think Al Snow was off about his comments about the NWA and more. We're also simultaneously recording for www.switch.tv/alliancewrestling so if you would rather watch than listen.
