In a relentless and ruthless exhibition of attacking prowess, we matched our record for the largest away victory in the Premier League for the second time in just a few weeks. Following commanding wins over West Ham and Burnley in recent away fixtures, we continued our offensive onslaught at Bramall Lane, overwhelming the hosts. Martin Odegaard kickstarted the scoring spree within five minutes, setting the tone for the match. An own goal by Jayden Bogle extended our lead, with Gabriel Martinelli adding a third goal before the 15-minute mark. Kai Havertz and Declan Rice further bolstered our lead before halftime, while Ben White's strike in the second half marked our historic 10,000th goal. With over 20 shots taken throughout the game, we etched our name in the annals of English football history by becoming the first team to secure three consecutive victories with a margin of at least five goals.

In our third consecutive league match, we unleashed a goal-scoring frenzy to dismantle Newcastle United, maintaining pace with Premier League leaders Liverpool and Manchester City. The onslaught began with a Sven Botman own goal in the 17th minute, followed by Kai Havertz doubling our lead just six minutes later, ensuring our 12-game unbeaten home streak against Newcastle remained intact. Bukayo Saka extended our advantage midway through the second half, effectively sealing the victory, while Jakub Kiwior swiftly added a fourth goal, bringing our tally to an impressive 15 goals in the last three games. Despite Joe Willock, a former Gunner, netting a late consolation for Newcastle, it was a dominant performance from Mikel Arteta's side that couldn't be overshadowed.

In a dramatic finish, Galeno scored a stunning stoppage-time goal to give FC Porto a 1-0 win over Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash at the Estadio do Dragao. Despite limited possession early on, Porto had a golden opportunity to take the lead in the 21st minute, but Galeno's volley hit the post and he missed the follow-up from close range. Arsenal had their chances, with William Saliba heading narrowly wide from Bukayo Saka's corner, but they struggled to create clear-cut opportunities throughout the match.

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli found the net for Arsenal in an intense Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium, securing a deserved victory. Saka opened the scoring on 14 minutes after Kai Havertz's shot was parried, but a defensive error allowed Liverpool to equalize just before half-time with a Gabriel own goal. Arsenal regained the lead in the second half through Martinelli, capitalizing on a mistake by Liverpool's Alisson Becker. Leandro Trossard, coming off the bench, sealed the win with a goal in injury time after Liverpool's Ibrahima Konate was sent off, capping off a memorable encounter.

Arsenal fought back from a slow start to narrow the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool to two points with a 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest. Initially struggling, the Gunners clinched three crucial points with goals from Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, keeping them within reach of Liverpool, who have the chance to extend their lead to five points against Chelsea. Forest, adopting a defensive stance under Nuno Espirito Santo, made a late push, but Arsenal held on to end a three-game losing streak at the City Ground, avenging last season's defeat and securing a vital win. Meanwhile, Forest's precarious position near the bottom of the Premier League adds pressure, with the threat of a points deduction looming due to financial rules violations.

The victory was sealed in the second half when Leandro Trossard, marking his first anniversary at the club, wrapped up a breathtaking counter-attack to secure the result before the hour mark. We were eliminated from the FA Cup in the third-round stage as Liverpool scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure victory at Emirates Stadium. Despite a dominant opening period where we hit the crossbar early on with a shot from Martin Odegaard, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota experienced similar misfortune for the visitors. The decisive moments came in the late stages, with a free-kick from Alexander-Arnold inadvertently deflected into his own net by Jakub Kiwior, and Luis Diaz adding another goal seconds before the final whistle, intensifying the disappointment.

Arsenal squandered the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the Premier League as they suffered a surprising home loss to a formidable West Ham side. David Moyes' team secured a goal in each half, with Tomas Soucek and former Gunner Konstantinos Mavropanos finding the net, propelling them to sixth place, surpassing Manchester United. The value of Declan Rice's header in the seventh minute of stoppage time might be challenging to precisely quantify, but it undoubtedly signifies a substantial return on Arsenal's £105 million investment in his services. Players of considerable stature and character often make pivotal contributions in crucial moments of significant matches. While this isn't the first instance of Rice scoring late since his transfer from West Ham, this particular goal stands out as his latest. The match had reached a dramatic conclusion, oscillating in momentum, and as the clock surpassed the designated six minutes of stoppage time, officials confirmed it. Luton Town supporters believed they had secured a valuable point against the Premier League leaders for their survival fund, only for Rice to seemingly nod in a cross by Martin Odegaard at the back post, altering the narrative.

A last-minute header by Kai Havertz secured victory in a hard-fought match against Brentford, propelling us to the top of the table. In a contest with limited scoring opportunities, the German striker, subbed in during the second half, nodded in a precise cross from Bukayo Saka just minutes before the final whistle. Earlier, a goal by Leandro Trossard was disallowed for offside following a VAR review, and crucial defensive interventions from Declan Rice and Alex Zinchenko, who cleared two shots off the line, maintained our clean sheet. Although the game lacked aesthetic flair, the three points were enthusiastically embraced by the away fans at the conclusion.

Leandro Trossard secured Arsenal's 1,000th goal at the Emirates Stadium, with William Saliba and Alex Zinchenko adding second-half goals to secure a three-point victory against Burnley. Trossard, displaying bravery, broke the deadlock at the far post toward the end of the first half. Despite Burnley briefly leveling the score with a deflected Josh Brownhill effort, Arsenal sealed the win with prowess in setpieces. Saliba headed home Trossard’s corner, and Zinchenko acrobatically scored the third from another dangerous corner. Despite finishing with ten men after Fabio Vieira received a straight red card, Arsenal comfortably maintained their unbeaten home run, moving up to second place.

Arsenal moved closer to securing a spot in the Champions League knockout stages, clinching a commanding 2-0 victory over Group B rivals Sevilla at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to Bukayo Saka's goal and assist. The outcome was never in question, with Leandro Trossard sweeping home Saka's low cross in the first half. Saka extended the lead with a composed finish in the second period, receiving a pass from the equally threatening Gabriel Martinelli. However, the positive evening was marred as the 22-year-old Saka left the field after an awkward landing in the closing stages.

Arsenal suffered their inaugural defeat in the Premier League this season, succumbing 1-0 to Newcastle at St James' Park. The closely contested match found resolution in the second half as Anthony Gordon nudged the ball home from a short distance. However, the goal was accompanied by a tinge of controversy, as an extensive VAR examination could not definitively determine whether the ball had initially crossed the line or if the player was onside.

A remarkable hat-trick by Eddie Nketiah set the stage for a commanding victory over Sheffield United, securing all three points for us. The English forward initiated the scoring with a skillful turn and finish inside the box in the first half. The excitement escalated in the second half as he powered a shot into the net following a well-placed corner, and he completed his hat-trick with a spectacular 20-yard drive before the hour mark. Fabio Vieira added to the tally with a penalty late in the game, and in injury time, Takehiro Tomiyasu marked his 50th Premier League appearance with his first goal for the club. This triumph extended our unbeaten start to the Premier League season to ten games.

Arsenal secure a significant victory away to Sevilla in a game which was packed with attacking action from both sides. The tempo of the game was set from the first whistle with both sides playing on the front foot. They shared moments of domination in the first half until a moment of magic from Gabriel Jesus who put Martinelli in on goal. The Brazilian link up ended the half perfectly for Arsenal and it continued in the second half when Jesus scored a beautiful solo goal to make it 2-0. Arsenal were searching for the third and it looked like they would get it but Sevilla secured a lifeline with a goal from a corner. The game could have ended either way but Arsenal were resolute till the final whistle with a win which takes them to the top of their group.

The Arsenal Therapy Podcast - Chelsea 2-2 Arsenal (EP.178)

Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about the club we love, Arsenal Football Club.

In a pulsating 2-2 draw against Chelsea, Arsenal weathered an intense storm in the first half, with defensive lapses leading to a penalty that Palmer converted. The Gunners struggled to match Chelsea's tempo and were fortunate to be just one goal down at halftime. Arteta's second-half changes, bringing on Tomi for Zinchenko, injected defensive stability but failed to address the lack of cohesion going forward. Mudryk's spectacular goal compounded Arsenal's woes, but a sudden surge in urgency saw them pull one back through Rice's brilliant finish. The late equalizer, orchestrated by a sublime cross from Saka to Trossard who slotted the ball neatly into the back of the net, showcased Arsenal's resilience. Despite the comeback, the team's reluctance to press aggressively in the final minutes left fans yearning for a more determined pursuit of victory.

In a rollercoaster North London Derby, Arsenal and Tottenham played to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal began with high energy, pressuring Spurs and creating early chances that, unfortunately, went unconverted. Despite their dominance, defensive lapses allowed Tottenham to equalise before halftime. After 6 years of absence, Arsenal win big on their champions league return. The anticipation and energy before the game was felt throughout the day and the performance personified the excitement. Arsenal started the game impressively with a well worked goal from Saka who slotted in from close range. The tempo of the game continued to be played with high energy as Trossard converts to make it two. Jesus scores brilliantly before the half-time. The rest of the game is played in a controlled manner where Arsenal pick out their moments to attack and hold possession. They displayed a level of control which reduced PSV to chasing shadows and in the end they couldn’t pose any real threat to David Raya who wins his second clean sheet in a row.

In a tightly contested match at Goodison Park, Arsenal managed to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Everton. The game kicked off with Arsenal exhibiting a composed midfield display, with Zinchenko and Odegaard stepping into crucial roles. The early exchanges saw Arsenal controlling the tempo, yet struggling to penetrate Everton's defence. Despite moments of dominance, Arsenal's passing tempo often felt slow, and they were too cautious in the final third. Martinelli's disallowed goal added to the frustration. The second half saw Arsenal adopting a more direct approach, and their increased urgency led to a series of opportunities. Finally, in the 69th minute, a brilliantly worked corner saw Leandro Trossard net the decisive goal. Despite some late scares and a lack of composure in the final moments, Arsenal held on for the win, ending their long wait for a victory at Goodison Park and maintaining their unbeaten start to the season.

Arsenal secured a crucial 3-1 victory against Manchester United in a game that saw them dominate the early stages. Martinelli's early chance set the tone for Arsenal's attacking intent, with Havertz also coming close to finding the net. United, meanwhile, struggled to find their rhythm and resorted to long balls due to Arsenal's relentless pressure. Rashford opened the scoring for United, but Arsenal responded brilliantly, with Ødegaard equalizing immediately after the restart.

The second half began positively for Arsenal, with Havertz showing signs of improvement. However, United had their moments, forcing Ramsdale into a save. A contentious penalty decision denied Havertz an opportunity from the spot. The game became more evenly balanced, with both teams looking dangerous on the counter.

As the clock ticked down, Arsenal continued to push for a breakthrough, but their finishing let them down. Saka missed a golden opportunity, and Arsenal struggled to convert set-pieces. United nearly snatched a late goal, but it was ruled offside.

In the dying moments, Arsenal finally found the winner. A corner delivered by Saka found Declan Rice, who drove the ball into the net. Arsenal sealed the victory with a late goal from Jesus, securing all three points in a game where they dominated but initially struggled to find the back of the net.

In a dramatic turn of events, a late equalizer allowed 10-man Fulham to secure a 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium. This came after our resilient fightback, recovering from a goal deficit to take the lead. The topsy-turvy encounter unfolded swiftly, with Andreas Pereira stunning the home crowd by finding the net in the opening minute. However, a second-half resurgence showcased our determination. Bukayo Saka's successful penalty conversion followed by Eddie Nketiah's swift finish from a Fabio Vieira cross saw us overturn the game's momentum. Despite Calvin Bassey's dismissal for the Cottagers, they managed to stage a response, with Joao Palhinha's goal coming just four minutes before the final whistle. Arsenal survive yet another second half scare after going down to 10 men with 25 minutes to play. This time a decision which was out of their hands forced the Gunners to soak up the pressure and hang on to the 3 vital points. A game of two halves with the first displaying a dominant display of attacking football with Eddie Nketiah coming close on two occasions to put the Gunners ahead. However, it was a second half Odegaard penalty that gave Arsenal the lead which would eventually be followed up with Tomiyasu’s controversial second yellow card. A decision that thankfully didn’t see us drop any points.

Arsenal survive the second half scare to collect 3 points on the first game of the season at the Emirates. A lovely first half display from the Gunners with beautiful football being displayed across the pitch, especially from Bukayo Saka who found the back of the net with a beautiful curling strike. Rice and Partey were very much in control of the midfield with very succinct passing and defensive intensity to maintain dominance. This changed in the second half following an early substitution with Timber being forced to leave the pitch. The whole tempo of the game changed with Forest being more aggressive and pushing higher up the pitch. Their newfound confidence was awarded with a late goal, and despite a nervy end to the game, the Gunners hung on to leave the pitch with 3 points.

The Arsenal Therapy Podcast - FC Nürnberg 1-1 Arsenal (EP.158)

The Arsenal Therapy Podcast - FC Nürnberg 1-1 Arsenal (EP.158)

Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about the club we love, Arsenal Football Club.

Arsenal faced a tough challenge against FC Nürnberg, showcasing a brilliant first half of football. The tempo was set by a classic Bukayo Saka goal, igniting the team's performance. Notably, Kiwior and Nelson delivered impressive displays, with Kiwior particularly standing out on the left-hand side. He seamlessly adapted to the inverted full-back role, making himself available and exerting a significant influence on the game.

Despite not being heavily involved, it was a delight to witness Saliba's presence on the pitch. However, Nketiah and Vieira couldn't match the level set by their teammates. As the second half commenced, Arsenal maintained their confidence, but numerous changes disrupted the fluidity of the game. Consequently, the team appeared disjointed, leading to an equalizing goal. The costly mistake came from Karl Hein, who passed the ball into a dangerous area, leaving Jorginho with little chance to prevent the ball from finding the back of the net.

As the game progressed, Arsenal seemed rusty and shaken, allowing Nürnberg to grow in confidence. The opposing team had several significant chances in the latter stages of the match, but the final result stood at a 1-1 draw. Despite the disappointment, this encounter provided valuable lessons for Arsenal as they work towards fine-tuning their performance and building a stronger team.
