53 - How to Launch an Online School in 90 Days? with Ali Unar, Founder of AccessPrep

53 - How to Launch an Online School in 90 Days? with Ali Unar, Founder of AccessPrep

Ali Unar is the CEO and Founder of Access Prep. He was born and raised in a small village in Pakistan, being the first in his family to attend college. Ali's life would have been very different without the support and dedication of his parents, who prioritized his education. His mother, aware of the socioeconomic obstacles he faced, encouraged him to study under candlelight in the sweltering summer heat, knowing it was the key to breaking those barriers and securing a better life away from the farms.

Ali's hard work paid off, and he was accepted into UCLA as a Physics major. He is currently attending Georgetown Law with a merit scholarship. However, when he applied to law schools, Ali faced a challenge. None of his college courses had adequately prepared him for the LSAT, the entrance exam required for admission. Like many others, he initially sought out the highest-rated LSAT course available. Despite attending all the classes and completing all the homework, Ali failed to see any significant improvement. Sensing something was lacking, he extensively researched LSAT courses on the market and discovered that each had their weaknesses. This realization sparked his decision to create a comprehensive LSAT course that addressed these shortcomings.

Ali dedicated four years to developing his techniques, which have since helped hundreds of students achieve their dream LSAT scores. An impressive 87% of these students improved by 11 or more points, with 26% experiencing an increase of 17 points or more. What makes Access Prep unique is their focus on simplicity and directness, mirroring the approach taken in law school. Instead of bombarding students with countless practice questions, they employ scientifically-backed teaching methods informed by extensive one-on-one sessions with students. Access Prep prioritizes effectiveness and rejects mindless drills and repetition, resulting in students attaining their dream scores in the shortest time possible.

At Access Prep, the primary objective is to eliminate barriers to LSAT mastery through a test preparation program tailored to each student's individual needs. Ali Unar, as the CEO and Founder, looks forward to collaborating with students to help them succeed in their LSAT journey.

A captivating story detailing how resilience and inner strength can be combined to overcome mountainous barriers to reach one’s full potential.

Growing up in Ferguson, Missouri, Stanley Andrisse began making poor decisions at a very young age. He started selling dope and was arrested for the first time at fourteen years old. By his early twenties, dope dealing had exponentially multiplied, and he found himself sitting in front of a judge facing twenty years to life on drug trafficking charges. The judge sentenced him to ten years in a maximum-security prison.

Prison was an experience like none other he’d ever encountered. While challenged with a strong desire for self-renewal, he faced an environment that was not conducive for transformative change. From poor institutional structure and policies to individual institutionalized thinking and behaviors, he battled on a daily basis to retain and maintain his humanity.

Upon release, and after several rejections, Stanley was accepted into a PhD program. He completed his PhD/MBA simultaneously and became an endocrinologist and impactful leader at Johns Hopkins Medicine, specializing in diabetes research.
