Throughout this sermon series, Jesus challenges us to choose Him and His values over the values of the world. In Matthew 7:12, He presents the Golden Rule as the summation of Kingdom living: "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you."

But Jesus doesn't stop there. He warns us about the narrow gate and the broad road, urging us to enter through the narrow gate that leads to life. There are deceivers and false prophets who try to lead us astray, but Jesus tells us to be fruit inspectors, looking for genuine fruit that comes from a deep relationship with Him. The choice is ours: will we hear Jesus' words and put them into practice, or will we be deceived by false teachings and empty religion?

As we conclude this series, we invite you to reflect on your own journey of following Jesus. Have you chosen Him as your Lord and Leader? If not, there's no better time than now to enter through the narrow gate and walk the narrow road that leads to life.

In today's text, Matthew 6:1, we're confronted with the concept of righteousness, both a position and a practice. Jesus warns against hypocrisy and emphasizes sincerity in our faith. He calls us to do good deeds, pray, and fast in secret, not for the applause of others but to please our Heavenly Father. Our motivation matters more than our actions.

As homework, Mark challenges us to give generously, pray sincerely using the pattern Jesus provided, and fast with specific intentions. He calls for a church-wide fast on April 9th, urging us to pray for provision, success for interns, and baptisms in 2024.
