Pulse of the Day: The Not-so Pleasant Part of Healing
Today's episode is a long one, where I take you through the process of self healing and empowerment, of dislodging beliefs and conditionings that may have held you tightly in their grip of disempowerment without you even realising it, and why it's hard and how to move through the hard phases when you find yourself unable. Hoping this offers you support today and whenever you need it. Good luck! 💛 To support the podcast, head to buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana or share this with someone.

Pulse of the Day: Surprise Grace
Today's episode is an offering of solace in a state of despair and destruction, knowing that what is truly yours, what is truly sustainable, can never get away or break away. And if something does fall apart, the way to find energy to move out of the rubble is to look for that which remains whole despite the destruction, that which feels like a hidden gem or a surprising moment of grace in the thick of despair.
In the end today, a stronger suggestion was to remain present in the moment by being in touch with your body and do whatever helps you find that connect. Take care of yourselves. To support the podcast head to buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana

Pulse of the Day: Moony Eyes
Hello! Today's episode is represented by The Moon in the tarot and focuses on revealing hidden perceptions, beliefs, self definitions around receiving, loving and being that you may find the strength now to own and be vulnerable about, as opposed to earlier where you may have felt uncomfortable revealing these parts of yourself. A free wheeling chat on one, acknowledging and being okay with the state of pause that you may be in considering you may be standing in a maze of options, unsure which direction to choose and two, using the pause to untangle the paths you have been on and putting them together to really see the road you have been on, are on right now, and hence where you'd like to go. Pulse of the Day: Changing Perspective
Hello! Here's today's pulse on approaching your sense of self and identity in social situations, from your heart and an elevated sense of self respect, instead of overthinking and worrying about how you're being perceived or misunderstood by others. Pulse of the Day: High-Functioning Self Sabotage
I think today, we are in a place to be able to choose work that not only checks all the boxes of success as is defined, but also work that is founded on our innate joy in engaging with it (considering the number of years of our being alive are given in work in its various paid and unpaid forms) and is adaptive to our changing values as well. Today, some thoughts on that.

Pulse of the Day: Holding Space
I love when two consecutive days add up to a process. I love it cause the mind likes sequence and pattern that can be understood, but as today's pulse shares, sometimes relenting the need to understand in the moment opens doors to bigger possibilities and surprises to be revealed. Continuing from yesterday's powerful and gentle reading, today's pulse dives deeper into the logistics of assisting yourself to hold space for yourself as you undo old patterns of limitedness.

Pulse of the Day: Trusting Self Management
When illness is your norm, good health feels threatening and even like an illness. That's why, when dealing with situations of health in habit and behaviour, we do new things slowly, bit by bit, to get comfortable and not be repulsed by health. Sort of reminds me of Frankl's words on not removing the pressure instantly so as to protect the mind of the person from spiralling out of shock.

Pulse of the Day: Of Careers and Visions
When we are young, and we begin dreaming about what all we could do in our life, we are met with a moment that can either assist that dreaming, or destroy that by forcing our dreams to fit clear cut definitions, which a young person ought not to bother with really. That's how original thinking is really discouraged - when we start asking young people "what they would like to become in life" instead of "what are their hopes from their life".
The current generation of people in their 20s and 30s are in some ways the largest group of people together witnessing and experiencing the limitedness of career thinking in this fixed way that comes on the back of questions like "what do you want to be when you grow up". Today, some thoughts on disconnecting from narrow thinking vis a vis your career.

Pulse of the Day: Changing Friendships
There is so much written about the various phases and forms of monogamous, heterosexual romantic relationships, that the very real and deeply intimate forms that friendships of all kind hold and changes that they go through are hardly articulated because friendships are deemed as 'back of the burner', garden variety background social structures, that are there when we need them, but do not somehow at the same time merit the due respect or centre stage, that they actually deserve for being the backbone so often.
Sometimes, friendships may become so comfortable and in the background existence then become so changeable that as soon as the comfort of sameness changes, one may do anything (even replace the other without knowing why) to retain that comfort, leaving with a sense of pain that then gets buried somewhere at the back.
One very real and now more spoken of example is in the changes that marriage brings to friendships of the people who get married, often leaving them barely able to grapple with, let alone find solace and sharing to evolve into the next stage of friendship. Little then is to be said of those friendships that die out with absence.
In my personal friendships as well, I have had to learn this with each new factor in my life or the others'. I have had to learn to understand the silences, as well as scrounge through a marriage obsessed world for language to articulate thought and feeling in friendships.
Today, some thoughts to validate grief that comes with evolution of the self and its impact on friendships, and perhaps finding solace in the foundation of some, while in the timing of others. (PS: this barely scratches the surface but hope it lends some ease and thought.)

Pulse of the Day: What is Decision Making?
What is a decision? What is a good decision? Is decision making a momentary and linear activity? How do you ensure you make the best decisions?
Even with the pandemic, I have maintained that this crisis is an opportunity to really honestly examine if you (or your leaders/bosses) have good leadership skills and if not, where/how can you (they) develop them. But to be able to accept that there is scope to develop them, requires a healthy ego or humility, and often in poor leadership, this is what is missing. Pulse of the Day: Navigating Layers of Freedom
Change that matters, change that is significant in not just its impact and desirability but also in its magnitude, is a process that happens in such intricate layers of existence, that impatience or pessimism cannot even imagine.
There is this line I see popularly circulated on social media that goes something along the lines of "if you want different results, you gotta act differently". In theory, this seems logical and obvious and something that may invite you to say "yasss gurl", "we stan" or simply clickety click your fingers in agreement.
BUT the process of "doing things differently" is so deeply layered that just the process of undergoing that transition is all that one can do on some days and as a culture, I feel we need to acknowledge that bec that simple act of acknowledgement in itself eases the stress of not being good enough or fast enough or better enough or not being there yet, considering we are a world that celebrates destinations more than the journey and in my mind, both are important.
Today, much to my surprise, I wrote about this on The Daily Pulse becoming a teacher of sorts for me too. Read more on the blog: thedailypulse.scrollstack.com

Its been 3 months of me writing on The Daily Pulse and today's post on choosing dignity at work is my most favourite title that I have written. Pulse of the Day: Healing as a Process
Conversations or literature on #healing can make you feel that it is a 'one size fits all' approach or that it is linear, like going from point A to point B. On some days, it might be but largely healing is a non-linear process unique to you and your experiences in life.

Pulse of the Day: Volition
Many of us conditioned to live in a way that equals self abandonment. Pulse of the Day: You 'and' Me
Sometimes, we learn to believe and we do live in a world that reiterates this belief that to give that is to be a "good" person, it has to come at the cost of oneself, that is, it has to be a choice between us and those we may care about. However, that habit can soon become the very reason that either one may not want to give and continue to do it while seething with resentment, or what one is giving may slowly lose value in the eyes of the receiver. Pulse of the Day: Deconstructing Power
The word 'power' tends to evoke some very extreme emotions - it is either something that people tend to worship and covet, or something that people learn to hate, despise and vilify. But, what really is power outside of human judgment? It exists, and how can it be understood and experienced in ways that feed into creating a better, equitable and empowered world through an empowered self. Pulse of the Day: Clearing the Head
Between the extremes of hyper individualism & self-abandoning relationship building, lies the beauty of interdependence that holds space for the individual & the world. That is a hard concept to digest for cultures that thrive on black and white lenses of looking at humanity and life in general. This is the same thought process behind punishment and reward based ways of raising children, teaching students, or managing employees. I like to delve into the way these beliefs work in the individual process & while the varied ways it can show up for people cannot be generalised in one post, today's post is a short debunking of this myth of life having to be this or that, me or them. Pulse of the Day: Channeling Hope
Hope is imagination. Hope can feel like a very weighted word when faced with the unpleasant realities of the world. Weekly Update: Prioritising Your Emotional Empowerment
Hi there, just a note, there will be no daily episodes this week. Listen to the weekly update today, and you'll know why. This week is about taking concrete unavoidable steps that truly come from your heart space feeding back into your personal power. Note, this isn't about being resentful towards something outside of you. Instead, it is a sense of detachment from anything else, to fully be connected with your heart so that you build connections outside of yourself from the seat of your personal heart based power. To follow me or enquire about personal readings, DM me on Instagram (instagram.com/thedailypulse_). To support me to continue to do this, buy me a coffee (buymeacoffee.com/shivranjana).
