Peter’s passion is creating, building and helping businesses run successfully. He has spent his career working with business owners and helping them mitigate the numerous risks confronting them in growing and preserving their wealth. He understands that financial wealth is only one aspect of legacy planning. While money is critical, vision and people are necessary in all organizations to realize success. This is summed up largely in stating that a large part of wealth preservation relates to passing the values of the current generation on to successor generations.
After graduating from Creighton University School of Law with a Certificate in Business and Tax Planning, Peter entered the financial services industry and has been in the industry ever since. While in the industry he has been: a partner at a boutique independent RIA and private equity firm in Kansas City, served as a regional VP for a mid-sized life insurance company in the Midwest, received a certificate in Special-Needs Planning from The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and worked with numerous high net worth clients in various industries helping them mitigate tax, financial, and liability risks.
Peter has worked with several different private equity groups to secure funding for projects as diverse as a calcium mine in the Dominican Republic, to investing in a cancer protocol, to housing projects. His philosophy is: if we can understand the risks and know how we will make the project work financially then we will invest the time and resources needed to bring the project to fruition.
Some of his career highlights:
Secured financing for several large multi-family housing projects in the Kansas City Metro.
Helped secure funding for an alternative cancer protocol.
Facilitated the purchase and sale of numerous businesses and medical practices across the United States.
Worked with numerous business owners helping them with asset protection, wealth preservation and growth, avoiding losses and mitigating taxes. Helped increase and protect the wealth of the same business owners exponentially over the practices they were then utilizing.
Prior to entering law school he graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Political Science and worked for lobbying firms in Washington D.C. and Salt Lake City, Utah. He currently resides in Santa Clara, Utah, with his wife and three daughters, and is a partner at the law firm Prospera Legal.

Stowe Shoemaker (Ph.D., Cornell University) served as Dean of the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas from 2013 to 2023. He held the Andrew and Peggy Dean’s Chair from 2020-2023. The College of Hospitality is currently ranked the number one hospitality program in the U.S. and number two in the world.
From 1996 – 2020 Shoemaker served as a member of the executive education faculty at the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University where he taught courses in strategy, service operations, strategic pricing, revenue management, strategic marketing, customer loyalty, and consumer behavior.
Shoemaker has published two marketing textbooks: Marketing Leadership in Hospitality and Tourism: Strategies and Tactics for a Competitive Advantage, Marketing Essentials in Hospitality and Tourism: Foundations and Practices, and Hospitable Healthcare: Just What the Patient Ordered! He has published numerous articles and his research has won multiple awards. His Harvard Business School case study on Hilton HHonors has been used by organizations and schools around the world.
Shoemaker has served as an advisor to numerous hospitality service providers over the course of his career including IGT, British Airways, Accor, Hilton, Landry’s, and Hyatt. He has helped game developers test market new casino games (both slots and table games), developed pricing strategies for airlines, hotels, and restaurants, developed programs to measure customer satisfaction, modeled the success and failure of marketing programs, and developed segmentation strategies based on consumer motivations in the gaming, lodging, and restaurant industries.
Shoemaker has applied his knowledge of hospitality to help healthcare professionals improve patient satisfaction. He held a joint appointment at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 2010 to 2012 and worked with Memorial Healthcare Systems, Houston. In Las Vegas, Shoemaker has worked with Mountain View Hospital and is currently introducing hospitality principles to the curriculum of the new UNLV College of Medicine. His research in the healthcare field has appeared in the Journal of the American College of Radiology.

Dr. Bhat attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for her undergraduate studies, where she received a fully funded academic scholarship and double-majored in Spanish and Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences. She went on to obtain her medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois.
Dr. Bhat completed her integrated plastic surgery training at Albany Medical College, where she was trained in the full breadth of both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. Dr. Mudgil is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society of Dermatopathology. He has published extensively in the medical literature as well as lectured at numerous national meetings.
Dr. Mudgil is a member of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine teaching faculty, where he is actively involved in the education of medical students and resident physicians. He participates in most major health insurance plans including Medicare.
Dr. Mudgil is honored to have been selected as one of New York's Super Doctors, a distinction awarded to approximately 5% of the physicians within a respective state or region. He is also listed in the Castle Connolly guide of top doctors.
