25: Perseverance and Perspective from an Ex-Police Officer
As an ex-New Zealand Police Officer and Diplomatic Protection Officer for the Prime Minister who suffered from PTSD, anxiety, and major burnout Chris Chandler-Yates learned specific things not to do to perform at his maximum ability. He left the Police to find himself again and has gone on a journey to change the mental health of first responders and busy professionals. His teaching is simple: how to perform at a higher level by doing less. He does this using NLP and mindset changes to build a strong shift and foundation quickly.

24: The Five Uncomfortable Truths to Wisdom
Sometimes we can throw wise thinking out there but we're not sure what the initial starting point was or why we needed the wisdom. Did we do the work to focus on the need and the why for the wisdom? We can say morning routines make you great, they look great on IG, but we don't always reveal behind the curtain of the challenges leading up to it.
So let's dive into what I've taken away as critical points for The Five Uncomfortable Truths to Wisdom:
1. Overcome self-doubt to rebuild your self-confidence.
2. Selfish time management is healthy.
3. Responsibility means knowing when to accept help.
4. Giving your time is rewarding.
5. Self-discipline will help your mind get unstuck.

23: A Topic We Don’t Want to Talk About
This week, we're diving into a powerful episode on forgiveness. The power of this episode is solely within your desire to think about what this conversation means in your life and your ability to ask yourself where you're harboring unforgiveness. We're also not limiting this discussion to outbound forgiveness; rather, it's the time to consider where you need to let go and forgive yourself. This might be the best 8-minute reboot your mind will have all week!
22: How to Cultivate Resilience and Grit
Resilience is the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. It's essentially your mental toughness. Grit, on the other hand, is a unique blend of passion and persistence. This week we're diving into resilience and grit. We'll be talking about how it plays out in your work teams, family and friendships. 5 Ways to Develop Grit and Resilience Be intentional in connecting with others who thrive in resilience. They will help you when you welcome them into your thought patterns. Reroute your negative thought patterns. Take the negativity captive when it approaches your mindset. Of course, easier said than done. Allowing a friend to transparently hear what you tell yourself is a great way to begin to identify healthy and unhealthy patterns. Change is constant. Allow yourself to embrace it. Catch your negative self-talk. It won't help you persevere if your negativity is your greatest enemy. Be compassionate to yourself. Grit and resilience are about growth. It's not overnight; rather, it's a lifelong journey. Allow others on the journey to help you develop Grit and Resilience.
Take the assessment with this GRIT scale.

21: Why Great Leaders Really Do Ask Great Questions
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there is an art to strategic, smart questions that drive connection, accelerate connectivity and advance your empathy across relationships. You might feel blessed in your current position with excellent leadership that ignites inspiration, activates connection, and reminds you to bring your best self to the table. For others, you may be experiencing anything but that kind of leadership. So rather than waiting for a great leader to show up to demonstrate to you what it looks like, I want to dive into this episode with you and get you narrowing down on what great questions really look like in your life.

This week we talk about the unseen stories of 2020. We're diving in to touch on the homework that needs to be done in order to heal from whatever you had to "sit with" in 2020. This message encourages you to face "all the feels" and come out on the other end stronger. If you have something you need to cut out of your life from 2020 - let it go. If you need to equip yourself with the recommendations you received in 2020 - dive into them. Let this message speak truth and honesty to you, regardless of where you're at this season.

19: Life is Distracting. Stay Committed to the Moment
At one point, before our lives were meticulously curated, we followed along in social for all of life's moments. We were trained to follow along to see what our friends were doing at that exact moment. Regardless, you've learned that life is about moments. We have all learned this. We've come together, to share content about telling us to purge social, to heal with our trauma, to let it go, to rest, to practice self-care and to actually live our lives. However, you experience this - it's about distractions stealing what you're committed to in the moment.

07: How Successful is Your Thought Process?
Think about your relationships. Your Attitude. Your motivation. The energy you cultivate. What is your thought process like as it relates to each of these categories? If you’re not communicating your thought process, your goals, and your direction within your inner circle, you may feel like you’re struggling to be held accountable. If you’re carrying around expectations of success, watch Mike Todd’s sermon on “Rip Up the List.” I’m sharing key insights from Goals by Zig Ziglar. Plus, watch more about your stress from Yale University. Read more about why we are all struggling to focus during this pandemic.
06: Big-Picture Thinking, Adaptability and Learning to Dip with Phil Ogilvie of Silt Winery
Ultimately, we are in a season where we are ALL learning about “the dip” and when something isn’t working, we have to learn to quit and try something new. This concept comes from Seth Godin's book, The Dip. The Dip will help you understand how to fail fast, fail often and continue to try something new if your current idea, hobby or business concept isn’t working. There’s courage in quitting something that isn’t working and also having strength is surviving the dip - a challenge or set back in front of you. If you’re working on launching a program or an idea in your life, we also talk about a minimum viable product (MVP) from The Lean Start-Up.
