The FUNCAST 038: We Happy Soda Drinker Pros
Soda! It's the lifeblood of society. So is finally getting to talk about We Happy Few, an open world survival roguelite immersive sim thing, with some hot 60s ~Style~, and a real weird launch. Also on the docket: News! They still make that stuff, it turns out, and boy howdy Overwatch sure makes a lot of it.  Andrew is back with his wacky quiz show and a roguelite about a knight that likes digging, GUNDAM EVOLUTION is out to Daniel's delight, Tim defends Domes, and Dean is in the lab, Working on some Bones.  Games Discussed: Totally Real Video Game: Skull And Bones, We Happy Few, Overwatch/2, GUNDAM EVOLUTION, Defend The Dome, BoneWorks, Shovel Knight Dig. We have a retooled website now! - Tweet us: @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 037: Feeling like a Veronica
Jughead opened a portal to the News Dimension and all the video games fell out. Seriously, it's very rude to have a second? Third? E3 in the middle of the week like that. Shame on you Video Games. Nintendo Direct! Sony Thing! TGS! A lot of cool stuff, farming sims, and a God of War. Major GTA 6 leaks that lead to some fun surprises, and Diablo 4 decided to join the leaky boat party as well. We have a retooled website now! - Tweet us: @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 036: Positive Affirmations
Hey, so first things first: we do talk about that jerk dingus that made a game and turned his patch notes into a portal to hell. We dunk on him pretty good, but if you don't want to hear it, skip from ~8m10s til ~14m40s, and I think you should be good. We got Xbox Controller news! Lighter, Leaner PS5s! Weird, cut back Cyberpunk news! NFTs go wrong (shock, horror)! Also, Temtem is finally out, Tim has been Surviving Digimon, Dean is replaying Outer Worlds! Funcastic! Share your joy with a stranger, today! We have a retooled website now! - Tweet us: @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 035: Jolyne, Jolyne, Jolyne, Jolyne! Please don't take him just because you can.
It's an anime day! I'd like to give you a real reason, but mostly it's just a coincidence that there is more animated JoJo in the world. And I guess that we also finally did some talking about SCARLET NEXUS, a game that out animes Devil May Cry in its own genre. We even pick a new GamePass GameClub game! Finally! Some talking bout the news, because companies just can't stop buying each other, fun Zelda rumours, weird scams, and even Disney TCG! What will those crazy mice think of next. Daniel talks about Immortality — the new game from Sam Barlow, not his vampiric curse. I promise, it isn't a spoilercast! Although maybe one day... Tim rolled around at the speed of bullets in ROLLDERDROME, and Andrew brings up Total War: Warhammer 3 and its newest Immortal Empires campaign and oh god it was supposed to be quick. Games Discussed: Immortality, Total War: Warhammer 3, Rollerdrome, Scarlet Nexus, We Happy Few, BROK the Investigator We have a retooled webiste now! - Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 034: Cult of the Twilight Dawn
Another whole week off? Sorry about that, but we were busy getting way into this sweet new family and friend support group out in the woods. The leader is this cute little lamb and life is pretty great honestly, just don't ask where the fertilizer goes or what happened to Ol' Hoss yesterday.  Yes, this is a deep dive episode into Cult of the Lamb, since for the first time in ages almost all of us actually played the same new game! We also have some news, the fun surprise of Sakurai becoming a game design YouTuber, and a promise to totally continue our GamePass GameClub and get back to "normal". Games Discussed: Cult of the Lamb We have a retooled webiste now! - Tweet us @fun_gineers (also check out Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games)

The FUNCAST 033: Sexy Mothmen
Back from a vacation and feeling all recharged and reinvigorated, the Fungineers return! And we are going to need that energy, cause boy the news this week sure is draining. However! We have lots of actually fun things to talk about, like Cults and JRPGs and Fighting Games, and even some spoooooky romance. Games Discussed: Valorant, Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5, Multiversus, Cult of the Lamb, Live A Live, Hooked on You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim, Ghost of Tsushima.

The FUNCAST 032: There will never be a new game ever again
Welcome back to delay season once again! Much like game announcement season, it never ends. That Gollum game everyone was totally super hyped for? Delayed. KOTOR Remake? Delayed forever. Not great. But you know what is great? Weird videogame carny rumours in Nier Automata, and Rockstar cleaning up their own internal messes. Also great? Battletech (mostly)! The five minutes we played Multiverses for was also pretty cool, alongside some New-Old-Games like Lunacid and Dread Delusion, all wrapped up in a new twist on an old Podcast Gameshow within a Podcast favourite. We talk Battletech, Harebrained Schemes digital revival of a tabletop classic, and pick an extremely anime followup to our GamePass GameClub. Games Discussed: Multiversus, Lunacid, Dread Delusion, GTA 5, GTA 6, KOTOR, Nier Automata, Battletech, Scarlet Nexus, VR Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 031: Super Monkey Maaaaaaan
It's only slightly used and broken, but hey, GameStop had it for a song, so why not pick up a new episode of The Funcast! (seriously though I lost the start of this to audio gremlins, the fumigators should get it sorted out) We've got Marvel SNAPing its way into a bad time, Ubisoft is cancelling and delaying stuff literally no-one knows about, CD Projekt lost a lot of value, and wow that's not cheery fun news this week, is it? Don't worry! Digital Extremes had itself a Tennocon and announced a bunch of cool stuff, just for me. Last Call BBS and the cute kitty cat simulator round out this one, but not before the greatest videogame trivia podcast within-a-podcast returns! Games Discussed: Marvel SNAP, Stray, Last Call BBS, Warframe, Ubisofts catalogue, Cyberpunk 2077, Soulframe Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers
July 23, 2022
The FUNCAST 030: Very Stupid, Very GameStop
Somehow, NFTs have returned. We don't know why either, but it's great to have some comedy fall into your lap. Unity *also* continues to shoot itself in both feet repeatedly, which is a really unfun mess to have to deal with. Shame on you, we just got that rug! We got some more Steamdeck impressions, a look at Marvel SNAP!, the return of the Tall Witchy Lady, Kirby gets real hangry, and WoW adds scalies! Games Discussed: Marvel SNAP!, Bayonetta 3, Kirby's Dream Buffet, Skate 4, WoW Dragonflight. Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 029: A Firework Miracle
Back together at full strength, and unmatched team of cyber warriors has crossed the barrier between the digital world and reality to do one thing: Talk about really dumb video game news. Thats right, they somehow keep making dumb announcements for stuff in the video game factory, like something called a "Web3 Console" and a "Remake of an old cult favourite game". Such nonsense. We also talk about the video game tie-in for a kids series we had no idea existed, pick a new GamePass GameClub VideoGame, browse a 90s BBS and more! This week, on the FUNCAST! The FUNCAST 028: The Curse of The Return of Monkey Island
A day late and a co-host short, we return! Basking in the radiant energy of a miniature Nintendo Direct and unbound of the shackles of our oppressors, Tim, Daniel, and Dean have a surprising amount of stuff to say about video games and all the weird gross GamersTM out there making lives more difficult for developers for no reason. Its fun! To talk about, not to do.  Games Discussed: Megaman Battle Network (series), Monster Rancher, Mechwarrior 5, Warframe, Monster Hunter: Rise, Harvestella, Rune Factory, Outriders: Worldslater, Project Lazarus, GDQ, Armored Core, Monkey Island, Skull and Bones Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 027: Life without Oda Non
We got a weird one! Andrew is driving! The first half of the episode didn't record properly! Games Discussed: Two Point Hospital, Neon White, METAL MAX XENO: REBORN, Warframe. Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 026: The Ten Days Of Keigh3
IT'S BEEN TEN DAYS OF WORLD PREMIERS, so I guess it's about time to talk about them now that it's all calmed down. Sure are a lot of them video games coming, huh? SO MANY in fact, that we just don't have the time (or patience, or ability, or care to be honest) to talk about all of them at once, so we found the ones we care about and brought em to the table. Join us for this feast, wont you? Games Discussed: All of them Email us at: Tweet us: @fun_gineers
June 17, 2022

Tim and Dean are out on assignment this week, so instead Andrew kidnapped me and interrogated my thoughts about what the games' industry is going to be up to for the next decade. Please send help. Sony presentation link:

The FUNCAST 022: Second Take
Hey! Did ya hear it? The news in the wind? Yes, that's right, it is, in fact, spring time! Which means gardens and terrible gardening apps. Oh, and some video game news, I guess. New York gets in on the Activision lawsuit punching bag, EVE Online memes become reality, and that sure is a Batman. Andrew is back with another round of whatever he is calling his game show this week, and then a recap of fun, useful video games like Trek to Yomi and Sleeper Citizen! Games Discussed: Eve Online, Gotham Knights, The Arkham Series, SMITE, World of Tanks, Trek To Yomi, Sleeper Citizen, Rogue Legacy 2 Email us at: Tweet us @fun_gineers

The FUNCAST 021: Tea Kettle Weirdos
Rejoice! A Gamepass Gameclub episode has arrived! A dark and creepy exterior reveals a soft, warm, comfy interior in The Wild At Heart. Can this 2D Indie Pikmin-alike charm its way into our hearts? But before that, some real wacky and wild news as Square Enix lets its western parts get Embraced AND gets sued by a former contractor! Ubisoft has no idea what its doing again, Blizzard announced a mobile game we have been waiting for ages to get, and all the Rogue Legacy 2 you can handle rounds off another fine Funcast Adventure. The FUNCAST 018: This Town Aint Big Enough For The Two Of Us Pigmen
An episode of our videogame podcast devoted entirely to talking about videogames? Say it aint so! Today we've got everybody playing show-and-tell with games from the past couple of weeks. Andrew brings us Tunic, the long under development foxy Zelda that is more than it seems. Daniel is dash-boosting around the battlefield in Gundam EVOLUTION, a mechanized hero shooter, Dean gets creepy with Weird West, the isometric immersive sim the world has been waiting decades for, and Tim gets suitably sp0o0o0o0oky with Ghostwire Tokyo!
April 14, 2022
The FUNCAST 017: The Morbiest Time Of The Year
This week, we share our thoughts on Transformers: Battlegrounds, a licensed X-Com-alike that might just be more than meets the eye. Super writer Brandon Sanderson has a pitch for Bandai-Namco, FromSoft has an old game use vanishing-jitsu, Hyper Light brightens the horizon, E3 is dead again, and we go back to Monkey Island.... again! Buckle up buckaroos, it's FUNCAST time.  Games Discussed: Transformers: Battlegrounds, Hyper Light Drifter, Monkey Island (series), Ninja Blade
April 07, 2022
The FUNCAST 016: The Skyward Sword System
Welcome to a particularly haunted episode of the show. Andrew's internet exploded part way in, and we had to just deal with contacting him from the great beyond. Sorry about that! It sure didn't stop us from talking about the gaping void left in our hearts from the sudden and shocking disappearance of everyone's favourite videogame: Fast & Furious: Crossroads. Sony also announced their version of Gamepass I guess, but honestly, if it won't have my favourite version of my favourite family on it, why even bother? Games Discussed: Fast & Furious: Crossroads, Tunic, Babylon's Fall, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Zelda
March 31, 2022
The FUNCAST 015: Hollow Bone Theory
Boy, sure was a hot week of news, huh? But before we get into all of that mess, Humans Fall Flat in our Gamepass Gameclub discussion. What is the deal with soft, wiggly, jiggly, floppy, human bodies? And what would it take for one of these physics puzzlers to really grab us in their gooey arms? Learn alongside us that The Witcher will in fact be continuing to get video games, various Nintendo-based nonsense updates, old hands start new studios, and the reality of working in games continuing to be a horror show. We finally (?) finished (??) Elden Ring, probably for real this time (lolno), get our now weekly Babylons Fall Update, and pick our next GamePass adventure, so get your bones acoustically sound because it's FUNCAST Time, again! Games Discussed: Elden Ring, Babylons Fall, Kario, Human Fall Flat, The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
March 24, 2022
The FUNCAST 014: More Like Elden Rang
We did it! Almost all of us finished Elden Ring! It's a big game, and we do spend another very decent chunk of the show talking some more about it. But before that, we got modern PS2 B-Game Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin to wonder at, a very short State of Play, thinkin' bout them Tokyo Ghostwires, and Tim, oh brave, foolish Tim, took Babylons Fall, so we didn't have to. Games Discussed: Tokyo Ghostwire, Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, Babylons Fall, Elden Ring, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Dino Crisis, Monster Hunter Rise.

We also discuss our Gamepass Gameclub game: Hellblade - Senua's Sacrifice, a game that holds up surprisingly well despite coming out four hundred years ago. We also got some fun and not so fun news, and pick a whole new video game to play for next time around, so join us by the grace and listen to THE FUNCAST! Games Discussed: Pokémon Arceus, Violet & Scarlet, Elden Ring, Call of Duty, Quantic Dreams Star Wars Thing, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Babylon's Fall.

The FUNCAST BONUS: Scheduling news
Just popping in real quick to let y'all know that we are in the middle of scheduling the podcast to go up on Thursdays now, instead of Monday. Hopefully this will let us actually get everyone together, since finding time can be real tough! See you then!
March 07, 2022
The FUNCAST 012: Go Touch Grace
Elden Ring is here, and we spent an entire episode talking about it! Whoops! Join us for a discussion of our experiences in the first 3-14 hours of this massive, sprawling, multi-layered Dark Souls poison swamp of a video game. Light and mostly non-specific spoilers of *stuff* are in store, but for a major spoiler: Games Good, go play it. Next week should be mostly back to normal, don't worry about it. Games Discussed: Red Dead Redemption 2, The Long Dark, ELDEN RING
February 28, 2022
The FUNCAST 011: Getting Ogre It With Wide Ryu
It's finally time to talk about the Soulslike everyone has been waiting for: MORTAL SHELL. That's the one, right? We then pick ourselves a new Gamepass Gameclub game, and get something we are actually excited by! We also dive into the newest TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER, a game that sure seems like it could be good, but much like an Ogre, it has a lot of layers to grind down first. Lost Ark has boats and a cool endgame, Capcom finally let us know that a new Street Fighter is coming, announced some more ports, STEAM is going to maybe get better while Valve also does good work with replacement parts, and the Wii U and 3DS are finally, officially dead. Long live the King. Games Discussed: Mortal Shell, Total War: Warhammer 3, Lost Ark, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Street Fighter 6, Red Earth
February 22, 2022
The FUNCAST 10: Is Kirby Vore?
Surprise! It's a Nintendo Direct! And it sure included a whole lot of stuff, which is very good because Kirby has a new mode just for dealing with it. Did we really need this many ports and remasters for Switch? Probably not, but if we end up getting new Advanced Wars and Front Mission games out of it..... We also spend probably too long talking about the new hotness: Lost Ark! Fresh off the enduring long term success of developing New World, Amazon decided to translate and publish another MMO for the western market. Will this fusion of Theme Park and Action RPG be a winner? Or will it succumb to free-to-play temptations? Find out, this week on The FUNCAST! Games Discussed: Lost Ark, LiveALive, Rainbow 6 Extraction, Kingdom Hearts: But in the cloud this time,
February 14, 2022
The FUNCAST 09: Stadia is the Dark Souls of Streaming
Dying Light 2 is here! Pokémon is here! Andrew is here! Everyone is here, except for Stadia! Sony also bought Bungie I guess, but the slow and shambling advance of Stadia into the great Google In The Sky is much funnier to discuss. Andrew fills us in on his Global Game Jam experience, we discuss all there is to see and do in two very large new games, and see if we can construct a bridge into our hearts with our latest Gamepass Game Club game. It's all here, all (mostly) new on The FUNCAST! Games Discussed: Dying Light 2, Pokémon Legends Arceus, Bridge Constructor Portal, Global Game Jam
February 08, 2022
The FUNCAST 08: Sad Mall Aesthetic
Dying Light 2 is suspiciously close to release, so we talk about the shambling hordes. How badly do we want to parkour zombie fight for 500 hours? Also in the air is the distinctive smell of a new Path of Exile season, the harbinger of lost time. Microsoft is in the news again across the pond, Unity loves dogfighting, NVIDIA gives up, and NetEase caught themselves a Yakuza. Plus, hear what it's like to be in the middle of a different zombie apocalypse, take pictures of puppies, and own a magical plant store (it's not drugs I swear officer) on this week's FUNCAST! Games Discussed: Strange Horticulture, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, Pupperazzi, Path Of Exile, Warframe, Dying Light 2
January 31, 2022
The FUNCAST 07: Microsoft Partners With Tifa To Run The World
We get snowed in this week with the news of Microsoft acquiring Activision Blizzard. Is this good news? What does it mean? Will we eventually have to play Call of Duty campaigns on Gamepass for this podcast? How does an Italian senate meeting fit into all of this? Our discussion of our most recent Gamepass roulette game EMPIRE OF SIN shows us that Microsoft will continue to fill up Gamepass with anything, just as long as it is #content that's good enough. Some brief check ins with Resident Evil and the selection of our next game round out a surprisingly busy week in the middle of January! Games Discussed: Empire of Sin Resident Evil: Village Final Fantasy 7 Nobody Saves The World Blade Assault Archvale
January 25, 2022
The FUNCAST 06: The Best Fishing Game Ever Made
Another week, another horrifying monster pulled from the deep. Do not be fooled by its soothing voice, it speaks naught but poison and lies.  We've also got some fun robot and movement based game rumours, a surprising amount to say about Pokémon and Dark Cloud, spooky VR travails, and even spookier horde based shooting! Please keep all arms and legs inside the podcast at all times, The FUNCAST is leaving the station! Games Discussed: Nobody Saves the World Rainbow Six Siege Rainbow Six Extraction Armored Core Series Dark Cloud 1 & 2 Into the Radius VR Monster Hunter Rise Vampire Survivors Archvale Pokémon Arceus
January 17, 2022
The FUNCAST 05: What A Horrible Night To Have A Curse
They just won't stop crawling up from beneath the wormy earth. That's right, Konami has put on a memorial for Castlevania, them immediately got drunk and tipped the casket over. We also hear about what MAGFest is up to this year, the wonders of video game burlesque, and choose a new game club video game. But not before we talk about Crown Trick, the turn based, actually Rogue-like dungeon crawler from NExT Studios. We get into our thoughts and feelings about not just the game, but sort of that whole mess of a genre. Will we make it to the end? Or will a host of blockchain based zombies and ghouls drag us down to hell? Find out, this week on The FUNCAST!
January 10, 2022
The FUNCAST 04: Air Frying A Year Of Games
The holiday spirit is upon us this week, as we sit down to discuss the videogames that were. Listen in for discussion of our favourites (and not so favourites), the wonders of dual wielding air friers, and what class Tim should play in FF14 once he is tired of being dead on the floor.
December 30, 2021
The FUNCAST 03: Randy Pitchford Makes NFTs Disapear
Today! We discuss State of Decay 2, the first of our GamePass game club games, the ongoing greatness and horrors of Final Fantasy 14s latest expansion, and possibly the worst (or maybe best) way to play an old game for the first time.  We also get around some fun EA related technical problems and select the next game for us to play, and dunk on NFTs again, because for some reason the industry hasn't learned its lesson yet.
December 21, 2021
The FUNCAST 02: Crypto Milo's Revenge
WE GOT THE GAME AWARDS! But mostly trailers announcing stuff that needed more time in the oven, so it missed E3.  We've also got everyone's favourite type of news: NFT garbage! The future is wonderful, especially when it's just old stuff but done bad and worse. Pull up your gamer chairs, put on your Gunnars, it's Funcast time again!
December 14, 2021
The FUNCAST 01: The Demon In The Woods
Welcome (back?) to THE FUNCAST! EA Troubles! Halo Infinite! FINALLY SMT5! And boy, FF14 sure is on fire isn't it. Join us for roundtable discussion, the start of a GamePass Game Club that makes everything itchy tasty, and probably the most easily breakable mouse Razer has ever made.
