Welcome to Project Podcast a new series presented to you by the team at The Ghetto Flower. This is a new segment from us, giving you the chance to listen to our conversations with new and up and coming creatives in our circle.
In the final episode of Season 2 of The Ghetto Flower project podcast, the team linked up to discuss the details and ongoings leading up to the TGF POP UP. We chop it up over topics like merchandise and the deeper meaning of each piece, while also getting into our event planning strategy. In Episode 10 of The Ghetto Flower Project Podcast, the team linked up with BandsUpRudeBoy and ER at PVTSTCK, these two Chicago artists looking to break through and make a name for themselves in 2019. In Episode 8 of The Ghetto Flower Project Podcast, Trill Tayo linked up with LaSalle Grandeur, a westside Chicago artist looking to breakthrough in the year 2019. Our conversation revolves around numerous topics, we discuss some of his comparison in the industry right now and music that he listens to outside of his own. LaSalle breaks down his beginnings in making music and how he first started making music to be considered “cool”. Grandeur has been creating music for eight years and recalls how the ecosphere of rap and music, in general, is shifting. LaSalle’s music has gotten more emotional over his tenure of creating art, we discuss “IKIGAI” and what it means for his music. We get into details of the “SoundCloud Rapper” era and give our opinions on the term that blankets many artists today. In Episode 7 of The Ghetto Flower Project Podcast, TGF got the chance to talk an artist out of Chicago named, Freako. Freako describes to us his trip to the ATL in the earlier stages of him making music and explains to us its importance in his career thus far. To kick off Season 2 of The Ghetto Flower Project Podcast, the team wanted to touch base with all listeners and reintroduce ourselves to our growing audience.
