She has created a social enterprise that is helping women come out of poverty and is creating a powerful ripple of fact that is affecting communities and will help children, even those not even born yet, have a better future.

Brought to the continent as a slave, he freed himself and other and established the first free black settlement of the continent. Episode 3: Frederick Douglass
On this episode we'll listen to sections of Frederick Douglass' Speech “The Meaning of July Fourth for the Negro” from July 5th, 1852. Douglass was born a slave who taught himself to read, escaped to New York City and eventually became the national leader of the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts and New York. As you can imagine, there aren't any recordings of his speeches available to we'll listen to his words read out loud by a young African-American Man living in New York City in 2021.
