"Leading By Faith" - Feat. Amajae Hardy Jones
Before the transition to "The Goal Files", I interviewed the young, talented and beautiful Amajae Hardy Jones, a rising actress from Philadelphia. Most known for her breakthrough role in the feature film, "Fels High" (2021), Amajae has trained with some of the most elite acting coaches in the game and continues to hone her craft day in and day out. With six years of film and theater acting under her belt, Amajae is a forced to be reckoned with, on and off stage. Season Finale: A Special Q & A (Delayed Answers, Still Healed)
In the final episode for season 2, Mya Kay answered some questions submitted to her by her colleagues and friends. She asked: What is something that you wish someone had told you when you were a teen girl? She turned them into questions and let the Holy Spirit flow as she provided the answers.  If you don't listen to any other episode this season, this one is a MUST!  Follow us: @girlsanthemmovement & @writermya Girl File Honoree: You!  Newsletter Sign Up: www.girlsanthem.biz For coaching: https://bit.ly/GirlsAnthemCoaching Mya Kay's new book, "Warring For My Girls" is available on Amazon: https://bit.ly/WFMGBook

After The Trauma, Part 2
In this episode, Mya breaks down the last 3 areas (pornography, anger, gossip) that people get tripped up in after they've received deliverance. She also breaks down steps to implement to maintain your deliverance in these areas.  Matthew 12:43-45 (TPT), Courtesy of Biblegateway.com 43 “When a demon is cast out of a person, it roams around a dry region, looking for a place to rest, but never finds it. 44 Then it says, ‘I’ll return to the house I moved out of,’ and so it goes back, only to find that the house is vacant, warm, and ready for it to move back in. 45 So it goes looking for seven other demons more evil than itself, and they all enter together to live there. Then the person’s condition becomes much worse than it was in the beginning. This describes what will also happen to the people of this evil generation.” How do we maintain our deliverance once we've been set free from (addictions, habits, toxic relationships, anger, pornography, gossip, etc.)? There's no one size fits all response, but one thing is clear - we can't just leave our houses empty after they've been swept clean. Listen now! Spiritual Warfare Strategies for Teen Girls, Part 2
In this episode, Mya concludes with the last three pieces of armor that Paul discusses in Ephesians 6:10-18.  Teen girls can fight the good fight of faith when they have an understanding of what they're up against culturally, spiritually and physically. As parents, you don't have to shove The Gospel down your child's throat, if: 1) You're living what you're preaching;  2) You give them Christ in a way that they can understand Him and the Word; and, 3) You lead them to resources that help them draw closer to God (even if that resource doesn't appeal to you) Strategies for Teen Girls: 4) Shield of Faith - Having your shield of faith in place is one of the greatest ways to fight the enemy 5) Helmet of Salvation - Salvation is the first line of defense in protecting you against the enemies lies, but salvation is so much more than just “I’m saved”. Salvation is a full-package deliverance deal that unfolds as we travel along our journey. 6) Sword of The Spirit - What word of God have you hidden in your heart that you might not sin against Him? Empty Spaces
In this episode, I discuss three different experiences in my life that made me realize the importance of filling my empty spaces with God and only God.  Key points:  Voids are inevitable. As long as we live on this earth, there will always be voids.  A void is anything that leaves a space in our lives that's yearning to be filled; voids come via loss or from not having something we desire or need Unless you fill those empty spaces with Christ, you will never be filled.  At age 27, I encountered God in a new way and that's when I realized I had been chasing ghosts.  Scripture references: Luke 4:21-30 and John 4 Question (Homework): How has God satisfied my thirst? Scriptures to meditate on: Daniel 6:3, Proverbs 22:29; 1 Peter 2:9 Girl File Honoree: Lauren Simmons, @lasimmons (Instagram) Follow me: @writermya and the movement, @girlsanthemmovement Girls Anthem is now offering one-on-one and other coaching sessions! Dreams & Nightmares (Live on IG) - My Covid-19 Testimony and more!
In the second episode of season 2, I keep the momentum going by discussing how hard it is to pursue the dream God places in your heart when it starts to look like a nightmare.  I discuss what a God-given dream is and break down a little of Joseph's story (Genesis 37-50) and anchor the episode in Genesis 50:20. Key gem: Some of you have a dream attached to the lives of many people and there is no way you can get there without God sending you through the fire.  3 Ways to Honor the Dream (even when it looks like a nightmare...) 1) Document God's vision and keep great footnotes 2) Stay connected to the source. 3) Rest when needed, but breakthrough on time.  Lastly, I share my testimony about having Covid-19 recently and how God pushed me through to release "Warring For My Girls" on schedule. I've since tested NEGATIVE and am completely healed. Praise God, Saints! Girl File Honoree: Me! Sometimes, after you've been through hell and back, you gotta pat yourself on the back!

"Flourish Under Pressure"
2020 has made it feel impossible to flourish under pressure. Our relationships, jobs, careers and purpose were under pressure this year like never before. God is willing to take your pressure and turn it into purpose, but there's a caveat to that -  we have to invite Him into the pressure with us. Discussion points: 3 areas where our teen girls are facing pressure right now 3 gems on how God wants to help you & your family deal with pressure 3 practical ways to invite God into the pressure with you "Warring For My Girls: We Pray Together, We Slay Together" is now available in print and digital formats. Adorned By Words - The Blessing & The Curse
In this episode, I discuss negative words and phrases that may be plaguing your life today. Many people don’t realize how powerful the tongue is and as much as Paul discusses it in James 3:2-6, I think we often overlook that the first place we heard some of these negative words and phrases was in our homes. Key Scripture: James 3:2-6 (TPT) Girl File Honoree: Greta Thunberg, Swedish Environmentalist Activist (@gretathunberg on IG) Free Gem: If you speak to who you want your child to be more than to the negative behaviors that they display, the harvest will be different. Sexual Abuse - From Fragmented to Freedom
Disclaimer: I recommend this episode be listened to with an adult, especially if you are a teen who follows the ministry and are under the age of fifteen.  My goal with this episode is to share my story, wearing my heart on my sleeve in complete freedom so that many of the young hearts attached to the ministry can also experience freedom. I’m walking in healing, forgiveness and wholeness today because of Christ’s love and healing power and I want the same for you. Resources: Healing the Soul of a Woman by Joyce Meyer (Audiobook) Golden Gem: Our real enemy is the devil – his devices have no limitations and his lies are endless; he’s never concerned with how he traps you or who he uses to set off the chain of events that get you bound – his only concern is to steal, kill and destroy. If he can do it through a family member, a family friend, a friend, or a stranger – he will. The enemy always needs a person to do his work, the same way God needs someone to do His. The Color Code
In this episode, I discuss how important it is for us to address and heal from colorism in our community.  The Color Code addresses: 1) How God values all of us, our individuality and our respective contribution to the world; and why looking different is key to God’s plan and how it fits into the fulfillment of His plan in the world 2) The value of appreciating your difference and building yourself up by any means necessary 3) The importance of being the girl who supports the "girl" that doesn’t look like you Girl File Honoree: Kheris Rogers, www.flexininmycomplexion.com  Follow the movement: @girlsanthemmovement @writermya Website: www.girlsanthem.biz RateThisPodcast.com/thegirlfiles

Failed Friendships
In this episode I discuss:  Top 5 Reasons Friendships Fail (or we feel like they failed) 1) We put pressure on how long we’ve been friends with someone and that translates into, “this should or shouldn’t be happening” at this point 2) We allow too much time to pass without checking on our friends and then, connect only when we need or want something 3) We confuse seasonal friendships/relationships with lifelong purpose mates (purpose mates means anyone assigned to your life to help you live purposeful in every or an individual area of your life) 4) We don’t ask God in the first place about someone’s role in our lives, entering into friendships with people who weren’t designed to be more than a connection for a moment 5) We’re too impatient, judgmental and self-righteous in our friendships, therefore we lack the ability to love righteously. Insecure
While the show may have it's place in society, being "insecure" is a very real thing for many of our daughters and young women. Insecurities can plague our lives to the point where we feel we can't be used by God due to some imperfection or insufficiency that we think we have.  It can also cause us to look to our right and left before making a move, something God never intended for any of us to do. In this episode, I spend time sharing my personal stories of the three areas I felt the most insecure, which were:  1) Looks 2) Identity 3) Career/Purpose Then, I give practical steps on how to become free from insecurities and keep them in check (TRUTH BOMB: Some insecurities may never really go away).   Girl File Honoree: Haile Thomas (Her book drops July 28, 2020), www.hailevthomas.com Follow the Girls Anthem Movement: www.girlsanthem.biz, @girlsanthemmovement Rate this podcast: https://ratethispodcast.com/thegirlfiles Side note: Arrest the cops that killed Breonna Taylor. Heartbreak Hotel
As girls, we tend to put our hearts down as a deposit on people that we believe can hold our love. But if we've never seen that demonstrated by our designated first love (our biological father), we often end up not getting the proper return on our investment.  Sis, it's not always "him". This episode touches on the importance of recognizing when we are the cause of our own heartbreak and pain and gives practical steps to walk in the "true" freedom God wants you to have.  Scriptures this episodes (The Passion Translation):  1 Corinthians 4:8-10 Psalm 46:1-2 Matthew 5:8 Psalm 34:18 Psalm 55:22 Don't forget to follow us on instagram: @girlsanthemmovement Visit the website and sign up for the monthly newsletter: www.girlsanthem.biz Girl File Honoree: Zandra Cunningham, www.zandrabeauty.com
