In this episode our guest is the lovely, wise and spiritual Mrs. Lolita Jardeleza. Originally from the Philippines already at the age of two she lost her mom and was raised by her grandparents. Post WWII the family moved to the US where she became a US citizen and met her late husband. Together they have 11 children, 46 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Mrs. Jardeleza is the author of the book "Compost Makes the Strawberries Grow" in which she shares her wisdom on parenting. She is also the Prayer Minister at the Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, Maryland.

In this episode Vernice and Adi get into a conversation about different meditation practices, how they experience it, why they meditate, how they started it and what benefits it has brought into their lives. Inevitably they also explore Eastern and Western cultures in this regard and lastly they can't have a podcast about the good life without mentioning food.

In this episode Vernice and Adi catch up on the past two to three months since last episode as both had been busy and off the grid. They discuss the raising poverty in Spain, the political as well as societal struggles in their world, how they engage with social media these days and since it all could be overly serious, the mentioning of good food and delicious recipes.

Joe Brewer is a complexity researcher and evangelist for the field of culture design. He is co-founder and editor for Evonomics magazine, research director for TheRules.org, and coordinator for the newly forming Cultural Evolution Society. He lives in Seattle and travels the world helping humanity make the transition to sustainability.

Joe has a unique background in physics, math, philosophy, atmospheric science, complexity research, and cognitive linguistics.

He has spoken at many global conferences on the science of social change and the human dimensions of planetary sustainability. And has given workshops on three continents about the workings of the human mind and the strategic tools for designing and enacting positive change in the world.

Mark Leruste is the host of a weekly podcast and web television show called "The Unconventionalists". He is a professional coach, an inspirational speaker and the author of the book "It's Not You, It's Me". His website claims that "It's been said that if Brené Brown, Tim Ferris and Eddie Izzard had a child, Mark Leruste would probably be it".
