Episode #043: From Partying to Transformation Coach with Taylor Victoria
This episode of The Grow2Gether Podcast is taken from our Redefine Your 20s series, where we're joined by Taylor Victoria who is a party goer turned podcaster, speaker, and transformation coach.     Some takeaways from this episode: If you are a regular party-goer, it might be a good idea to step back and identify your reasons for doing so. Taylor discussed her reason which was escapism. When she realized this she took back control and started to work towards living her best life.  Taylor thinks the main thing we could do right now is to start sharing content and stop caring about what others think. The education system needs to change, young people need to be educated on handling emotions and having the right mindset. There are 4 questions that can help you find your purpose: What do you love? What can you get paid for?  What does the world need more of?  Important links and mentions from this episode: Check out Taylor's podcast The Millennial Business Podcast here Join the Grow2Gether Facebook community Check out our podcast collection and other content via our website If you're ready to accomplish the ultimate goal... a better YOU check out our community platform Check out our merch range here Connect with us on Instagram Let us know what you think about this episode by connecting us on social: Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram and if you liked this episode, it would mean the world to us if you could hit the subscribe button!

Episode #039: My Journey to Grow2Gether with Luke Burrows
This episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, is a little different as we're not joined by a guest but instead, I, Luke Burrows take over and share my story and journey to founding Grow2Gether, the why behind doing so and our plans for the future. Creating Grow2Gether is extremely linked to my story of going from an anxious, depressed but ambitious 18-year-old kid to a 22-year-old, at the time of creating Grow2Gether and now a 24-year-old guy who's optimistic, confident, positive, and on the path to living his purpose!  Some takeaways from this episode: We all face dark moments in our lives, and when we do so we believe that they are going to last forever. They don't, especially when you take action to overcome them! If we aren't doing what we love, and something bigger than ourselves, then what are we doing here? Episode #037: What They Don't Teach You In School About Money and How I Had to Learn it the Hard way with Manny Blue
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Manny Blue who is a Personal Financial Coach, Philanthropist, Visionary, and Entrepreneur. Manny Blue got a taste of entrepreneurship at a young age selling his unwanted toys to his friends at school. As a teenager he pursued a career in music during which time he traveled nationally and Internationally on tours and promoting his music. Manny now dedicates his time to helping families understand the importance of financial education and securing their financial future which is something close to his heart, as 5 years ago he nearly "lost it all" and is now passionate about sharing the information he got his hands on and learned with others. Some takeaways from this episode: Using and building credit is a key part of financial education but most people don't know how to use credit to their advantage and leverage it. Instead, they use credit to buy dumb stuff and splash out on every given sale - like Black Friday. Self-confidence and money are linked and this is why most people find it hard to talk about money because they don't have self-confidence and feel like money defines them. One of the greatest things the next generation can do is to seek education and knowledge outside of the state/traditional education system as there are a lot of things that you can learn like financial education which they don't teach you at school. There's never going to be a "right time" to do something whether that 's to start a new venture, go traveling, or start securing your financial future. Sometimes you just have to pull the trigger and just do it. Plus, much much more! Episode #036: Build and Scale Your Business by Using VAs with Nathan Hirsh
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Nathan Hirsch, Serial Entrepreneur and expert in remote hiring and eCommerce. Nathan co-founded FreeeUp.com in 2015 and through hard work and dedication was able to scale his business to $12M per year in revenue, before selling it in 2019. Today, Nathan is the co-founder of OutsourceSchool, a company working to educate entrepreneurs on how to effectively hire and scale with virtual assistants through in-depth courses. Nathan has appeared on 300+ podcasts, is a social media personality, and loves sharing advice on scaling remote businesses. During this episode, we dive into Nathan's entrepreneurial journey and how he was able to scale his businesses through the use of VA's. Some takeaways from this episode: There isn't a right or a wrong path to being an entrepreneur and building a team. Most of entrepreneurship is trying new things and through trial and error finding out what works for you and doubling down on that. It's easier to build a business when you're younger as you don't have as many responsibilities as a house, kids, or any other of the traditional responsibilities that may stop you from building a business so you're able to take more calculated risks. Building a business around the use of a team of VA's is a great way to build a freedom-focused business where you can work anywhere in the world and don't have the overheads/cost of having an office or any other of the costs to having employees. When hiring a team of VAs it's important to bear in mind there are 3 main types of VA's that you can choose from which include the "followers" - there to follow your systems and processes, the "doers" - there to do certain tasks like graphic design etc. and the "experts" who bring their own processes and systems to help you grow your business. Episode #035: How I Overcome Anorexia and Built More Self Worth with Presence Tse
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Presence Tse, a Student and community member here at Grow2Gether who shares her journey through life so far including her battles with Axorexia, self-worth and overcoming bullying and negativity. Born and raised in the UK, Presence moved to Hong Kong when she was 9 years old where she faced a complete culture shock especially at School where she was bullied. This caused Presence to go from being a very outgoing person to very introverted, socially anxious, and trying to fit in. Presence faced Anorexia when she was just 12 years old, due to trying to fit in and developed Alopecia a few years later where she fell into depression for the second time. But, coming across personal development has helped Presence to rewire her mind and change her perspective of life. We dive into this and more during this episode. Some takeaways from this episode: Sharing your story and being vulnerable is the key to unlocking courage, building community, and connecting with like-minded people who will help you to grow. It will also help others, who can relate to you, to realise they aren't alone and inspire them to keep going. Everything great starts from having a little hope, belief in yourself, and taking action towards where you want to be. ⁣ No matter who it is, you can't change someone who isn't willing to change. Even yourself - if you aren't willing to change, nothing will happen. When facing bullies or haters, it's worth remembering that they're not going to be in your life forever. Focus on the long-term and where your heading. Set and focus on your goal. Plus, much much more! Episode #034: How I Overcome a Victim Mindset and You Can Too with Dani Kassick
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Dani Kassick who defines herself as a mental-health warrior. Dani utilizes resilience and grit to navigate her journey through life to heal from childhood trauma. Through the power of yoga and meditation, mindset, and psychotherapy techniques, she has been able to shift herself from a survivor to a "thriver" and during this episode, we dive into the steps Dani took to do just that and overcome a victim mindset. Some takeaways from this episode: Pursue your passions, purpose, and calling. Even if you start off small and dedicate a little amount of time, amazing things can happen and you're be focusing on more of the things that bring you joy. Ultimately - your passions are the light!   One of the most important things is to try and catch negative self-talk. Through developing this awareness you're able to notice triggers and reframe your negative self-talk and thoughts to something that'll actually serve you. ⁣ Through Yoga and meditation, we're able to put our bodies into a state of calm so we can work on developing our mindsets and do the work needed to overcome the limiting beliefs and things holding us back. Change never comes from a comfortable place, and that's the whole point - to change, evolve, and grow rather than stay the same. Developing your mindset helps you to see this for yourself so you can start to embrace change. Plus, much much more! Episode #033: My Personal Transformation Journey Through Yoga, EFT and NLP with Anne Morello
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Anne Marie Morello who is a Wellbeing & Transformation Coach and holds a diploma in Child and Adolescent Counselling, is a certified EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Practitioner and an NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) Master Therapist. She is also completing an MSc in Existential Psychotherapy. Anne has 12 years experience in teaching English Language, English Literature and Drama at secondary level and 15 years experience as a practitioner and teacher of Hatha Yoga and Yoga Philosophy. During this time, she has acquired an extensive array of techniques that have given her an insight into how to shorten the pathways to happiness, well-being, confidence, success, fulfillment, and self-worth for others. In this episode, we discuss how Anne has achieved all of this and the personal transformation journey she has been on, of which Yoga, EFT, and NLP has changed her life. Some takeaways from this episode: Powerful EFT and NLP exercises allow you to separate your thoughts and feelings from you because you're not your thoughts, and your not your feelings. Positivity can become toxic when you hide your true feelings, dismiss your uncomfortable emotions, or are ashamed for having them in the first place. ⁣ Yoga is more than, different postures, poses, and movements as there are lots of different types. Yoga is about connecting you to something bigger (some people call it the universe, god, or nature) and making your body and mind strong for all situations. Start to understand the brain by understanding the code for the brain is found in our senses which include sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch to name the most common ones. Plus, much much more! Episode #032: My Journey to Being a Model Millennial and Going Against the Grain with Joel Xu
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by community member and founder of Model Millennials - Joel Xu as we discuss his journey of being a Model Millennial (as in role model) and why and how he has gone against the grain! Joel left University when he was 19 years old to become an apprentice for a social entrepreneur.  He wanted to get real experience after discovering that he wasn't learning any practical skills like he thought and wanted to by going to traditional school. Coming from an Asian background, Joel says he felt like he was the black sheep of the family without a degree so worked hard to compensate. He was fortunate enough to make a six-figure income in digital marketing sales by the time he was 22 years old, and that process introduced him to the digital marketing world which is now his vocation alongside working on his passion project: Model Millennials - a blog and podcast dedicated to helping people in their 20's and early 30's navigate adulthood. Some takeaways from this episode: If you feel like and be an underdog and still create something pretty amazing. In fact, you can use that of being an underdog to your advantage. The clearer your vision becomes, the more likely you are to stay focused. Don't just say you want to change the world... start with why you want to change the world, then get clear on what that looks like and feels like for you. It's all about building a good foundation so you can ultimately go and do bigger things with your life that are in alignment with your vision. That's what personal growth, self-mastery, and leadership give you and the earlier you start the better! If you were to take someone from the 1900s and put them into the 2000's they wouldn't recognise anything in the world but the one thing they would recognise is the education system which just goes to show how outdated our education system really is. This is because it's built on the Greek model of remembering information instead of a more practical model based on the Hebrew model. Plus, much much more! Episode #031: How I Created An Extraordinary Life Without Regret and How You Can Too with Jamil Sayegh
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Dr. Jamil Sayegh who is an international transformation coach and strategist, integrative naturopathic physician, Master NLP Practitioner, and the author of 20 Steps to Your Next Breakthrough. Jamil works with leaders and high performers from all walks of life including world-champion athletes, best-selling authors, entrepreneurs, business professionals, and more to create an extraordinary life without regret. Dr. Jamil has a deep passion to end suffering for as many people as possible by reconnecting them to what’s real, and challenging them to live and love fully. He is a true healer at heart who loves to motivate, empower, and inspire others to take responsibility and action in their lives so they can influence more effectively, expand their contribution, embody their greatness, and make this world a better place because they were here. And, in this episode of the podcast, we discuss what all of this means and how to use it to create an extraordinary life! Some takeaways from this episode: An extraordinary life without regret is what we all deserve and we get to determine what that looks like and means for us. Happiness is never found outside of us. Not in an item, experience, or in money because it's an emotion and an emotion is an inside, out phenomenon. In life, you have two types of people. The ones who rush through life to get to the finish line. And, the ones who love the journey. What we fail to comprehend, is the finish line is death! Love the journey, love the process, and focus on getting better every day. Our career and the work we do is such a big part of our lives that when we live for Friday and hate Monday, we're really only truing living 6 to 8 times per month - the weekend! If this is our life we face a really big challenge, as we're going to face a lot of Mondays in our lives. This is where passion comes in, and actually doing something you're passionate about - even if it means "living within your means" for a period of time. Plus, much much more! Episode #030: Our Thoughts Create Our Reality with Mike Wharran
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Mike Wharran who is a Business Owner, High-Performance Mindset Mentor, Dad of 2, and Husband as we discuss HOW our thoughts create our reality. During this episode, Mike shares how he started his personal development journey at a young age, how that has shaped the rest of his life, and how he is doing the same for his kids. We discuss the power of our thoughts, self-awareness and so much more! Some takeaways from this episode: Having a clear vision and passion for what you do helps you to stick with it when things get tough. Whether you feel good, bad, sad, depressed, optimistic or abundant however you feel will be the results you will create in your life. This is why it's crucial to develop self-awareness.   How you view something, the world and other people is your truth and your perspective. Not the truth. You can start the journey to change your perspective whenever you choose. We are all getting results in our life. Either the results we want or the results we don't. Through developing our mindset thus changing our thinking we're able to change our results much quicker to the ones we desire. Plus, much much more! Episode #029: My Self-Love and Self-Worth Journey with Erika Valle
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Erika Valle who coaches people (particularly women) to learn to love themselves, gain control over their emotions, and ultimately gain control over their lives. During this episode, we dive into Erika's self-love and self-worth journey including how she changed career paths - an unpopular decision amongst her friends, family, and co-workers and how finding a mentor and the use of affirmations helped her to overcome limiting beliefs. Some takeaways from this episode: If you're feeling unfulfilled and lost in life, it's important to do some self-reflection and ask yourself... who are you currently pleasing in your life? If you're currently pleasing everyone else but not yourself - that's something you've got to address. Whatever you choose to do for yourself and your life being able to learn to love yourself and determine your self worth will dramatically change your life for the better. Having accountability and somebody to guide is you especially when pursuing your goals and dreams (whatever they maybe) makes all the difference and this is what finding a mentor gives you. If you don't know what you want to do with your life, sit down and ask yourself what's going to make you the happiest and why. Plus, much much more! In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Jewel Hohman who is a Mindset Coach who uses brain-based coaching for self-discipline and emotional resiliency instead of avoidance, overwhelm, and self-loathing. During this episode with Jewel, we dive into her personal growth and entrepreneurial journey so far, the challenges she has faced, and what you need to know about the brain. Some takeaways from this episode: Our brains want to protect us, they want to keep us safe and one of the best analogies is thinking of our brains as cavemen who want to keep safe in their caves. Through developing emotional resiliency, self-awareness, and the right mindset we can start to change this and unlock our personal power. The best way to live life is, to be honest. Honest with yourself, honest with your family, friends, co-workers, and the people in your life. In the long term without being honest, it leads to judgement, resentment, and overall living an unfulfilled life. Understanding is power! From understanding yourself to understanding others it's one of the building blocks to creating anything you wish to create in your life. Finding a system and what works for you is part of the journey. Whether it's a goal-setting system, personal routine or reflection exercise (all of which we discuss in this episode) raising your level of self-awareness to find what works for you propels your growth and you shouldn't judge yourself for not doing something, that everyone else appears to be doing. Antonio has been on a self-development journey since around the age of 21 which has enabled him to travel a lot, quit his job by generating passive income, and overcome the mental barriers that were holding him back. Some takeaways from this episode: Micro speed and Marco patience are so important when building anything online. It doesn't matter whether you're building a side hustle or a full-time online business. Ultimately, the more work you get done, the quicker the pay-off will be, and having patience while you go is important. Finding balance and having fun on your personal development is key. Make time with friends and loved ones doing other activities that you love. It could be sports, traveling, or the arts. Experience comes from trying new things and learning the lessons you need to learn in order to move forward and grow. Episode #026: The Life of a Polymath with Denis Murphy
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Denis Murphy who is an author, software engineer, and podcaster from Ireland. Dennis describes himself as a polymath at heart and on his podcast 'The Happy Mindset' shares the knowledge he has obtained and his interests that span across many different fields including linguistics, philosophy, psychology, and software engineering. For a long time, his experience with the traditional education system had suppressed his natural curiosity and love of learning. It was only in his early 20’s when he stumbled across language hacking and faced some serious mental health issues that he rediscovered what he had lost. In this episode, we discuss all of this and more including what life is like as a polymath! Some takeaways from this episode: The life of a polymath is to ignite your interest and passions and not be redefined by labels and find ways of merging all that you love together so you're living a truly authentic life. When you go through hard and challenging times there are always lessons to be learned to help you move forward and grow. Whatever challenge you're facing right now keep the faith and find the lessons. Social media in general and particularly podcasting gives you the opportunity to share your story and experiences with like-minded people and people who can relate to your story from all over the world to help build community and know you're not alone. Connecting with nature is a good way to change your mindset as you're able to reflect, see what really matters, and just be in the present moment. Get outside, take a walk, and connect with nature. Episode #025: How Changing My Mindset Changed My Life with Cole Kirkpatrick
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Cole Kirkpatrick who is a 23-year-old entrepreneur from Woodstock, GA. Cole is the founder and CEO of Blueland Marketing. Blueland is a full-scale digital marketing agency that helps companies brand, generate sales, and grow brand recognition. Cole is also a much-valued member of the Grow2Gether community and in this episode, we discuss how changing his mindset has changed his life. Some takeaways from this episode: When pursuing a goal or venture, most people give up after a relativity short period of time comparing to how much time they actually have in the macro. Creating something meaningful takes time, and realising we're all running our own race is key. Money doesn't make people happy, doing the internal work does. Money, however, is an enabler to obtain the things we want in our lives and this isn't a bad thing. The key to growing social media is to use it what it was intended for and that is to be social. Reach out to people, make connections, and be real. It seems like everyone is looking for validation online but when you are social and being real with people social media can be a great place. Connecting with nature is a good way to change your mindset as you're able to reflect, see what really matters, and just be in the present moment. Get outside, take a walk, and connect with nature. Episode #024: Should You Take The Entrepreneurial Path and What You Need To Know with Mike Ficara
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by CEO of The MAGS Group and Business Consultant Mike Ficara. Mike finds great joy in coaching and mentoring high achieving business leaders, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives looking to take their organization to the next level. Teamwork and self-motivation are something that is important to him and his team at The MAGS Group. Together they have taken several ideas their clients created and turned them into competitive products in their space, along with taking existing businesses and allowing them to see massive growth and stability through a variety of techniques. During this episode with Mike, we discuss entrepreneurship, side hustles, making money and so much more and ask the question should you take the entrepreneurial path and build a business doing something you love to do. Some takeaways from this episode: If chasing money is the only or primary factor for starting a business, and you don't generally want to help people the likelihood is you won't get very far. Of course, there is always the exception but for the average entrepreneur leading with a strong why and passion for helping people will get you much further. Ask yourself 'why' do you want the money, the big house, and the fancy car. These are some of the reasons people get into entrepreneurship and chase the next big thing whether that's crypto, blockchain, or network marketing. These material things are just a means to an end and if it's because you want people to like you or get the girls (or guys) then these aren't going to make you happy in the long-term, deeper inner-work is required. Social media and the internet have opened up so much opportunity to build a business, a side hustle, and allowing people to start their entrepreneurial journeys. The mistake many people face though is neglecting their own back yards and leaving so much money on the table in their own communities because they're just focusing on utilising the online world. Making multiple streams of income is a great idea. However, most people are chasing this without having one STRONG income stream that they can build from. Plus, much much more! Episode #023: How Self-Discipline, Self-Development & Fitness Changed My Life with Stefan Tosic
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Stefan Tosic who is a Bodybuilder and Fitness and Self-development YouTuber. Stefan helps people to reach their goals and is building a community of like-minded people who grow together both physically and mentally! During this episode of the podcast, we talk about self-discipline, self-development, and fitness and how it's changed Stefan's life. We also discuss the challenges Stefan faced growing up and how we overcame them. Some takeaways from this episode: Through working out, regular exercise, or playing different sports you learn to be self-disciplined and other fundamental principles that can help you in any area of your life and/or business. Motivation can be important however, it's temporary and isn't a strategy to change or growth because it doesn't help people in dark times.   Formal/state education is flawed as we're all different, have different ways that we learn and the education system doesn't recognise that and is just a one-fit all approach. That is why self-education is key as you can tailor to WHO YOU ARE. There are 6 core needs that human beings seek and these are the need for certainty, variety, love and connection, significance, growth, and contribution and we cover these in this episode. We also dive into Dan's personal growth and entrepreneurial journey which brought up the topic for this episode as for a long time Dan was doing things and running businesses which gave him no purpose in life. Some takeaways from this episode: It doesn't matter who you are and what you do if you don't have a life purpose bigger than yourself something will also be missing from your life. Contribution is one of the main core needs that we need as human-beings and without it will be always be questioning our existence. If you don't know what you're passionate about or what your purpose is that's okay. It comes to some people easier than others and the most important thing once you recognise this is to start and embracing the journey of figuring it out. As an entrepreneur, world changer or somebody who is pursuing more than one thing organisation is key in order to be productive and get stuff done. Where and how you spend your time is crucial and Dan shares how he organises his days and weeks. Episode #020: How Accountability Buddies and Mentors Have Helped Me To Grow with Brandon Gidicsin
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Brandon Gidicsin who is a Commercial Real Estate Salesperson based in Long Island, NY. Brandon loves producing content on social media that empowers people to strive for more and in this episode, we discuss how accountabilities buddies and mentors are important and have helped Brandon to grow. Some takeaways from this episode: Storytelling is a powerful tool as you can learn a lot from and about a person through their story. Through storytelling, you can connect and relate to others, build community, and help others to grow. Studies show that our retention rates vary depending on what study method we use to learn. For example, lectures have only a 5% retention rate while teaching others have a huge 90% retention rate. So, in simple terms when you learn something new teach it to others to retain more! Be kind to others, don't be rude and treat other people how you wish to be treated. It might sound cliche but that's because it's true and is the start to building relationships. Accountability buddies and mentors are important because they hold you accountable and help you to grow. When looking for a mentor, a lot of the time people are much more approachable than you think. If they are someone you look up to reach out to them to get to know them and go from there. Plus, much much more! Whether it's family members, close friends, or people you meet on your personal growth journey some of your biggest critics turn out to actually be your biggest fans. Some takeaways from this episode: Everything in your life comes down to the choices that you make on a daily basis. It's your choice of what you do, and what you don't do. Our brains are designed to keep us safe and it has been that way for thousands of years. However, society and life itself have changed and evolved and we no longer have to protect ourselves from Sabertooth Tigers. When facing difficult times it can feel like they're going to last forever. However, this isn't the case and there is always a conversation you haven't had, an action you haven't taken, and something that can be done to help move you closer to where you want to be. Martin now refuses to let others suffer in this way. His journey made it clear that his life purpose and passion is to share his story and life lessons with those that need it and this is why he set up Empathy Coaching. Some takeaways from this episode: Everything in your life comes down to the choices that you make on a daily basis. It's your choice of what you do, and what you don't do. Whatever you're going through or facing in your life don't be scared to ask for help. Whether that is to a professional, family member or close friend - don't face your dark times and challenges alone. ASK. FOR. HELP! When facing difficult times it can feel like they're going to last forever. Some takeaways from this episode: In the pursuit of finding what career path you want to go down, it's always important to just start and do something and be open to the journey as you never know where it will take you. Making plans that are in alignment with your career goals (or goals in general) is always important as it gives you direction and something to take action towards. Understand that plans often change and we must get into a place where we are open to change to avoid overwhelm. There is nothing wrong with changing paths in life and it's actually a representation that we are learning and growing. If you want to change paths but feel like there is no way out from where you are right now, maybe it's a dead-end job - make a plan on how you can get out of that situation and do something you're much more in alignment with. When we are in a state of overwhelm - and we've all been there it's crucial that we gather our thoughts and return to the moment that we are in. Episode #014: The Inside Out Approach to Happiness with Parnaz Esheen
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Parnaz Esheen who is a multi-passionate young woman who's passions include everything about mindset and wellness. In this episode with Parnaz, we discuss the inside out approach to happiness and her personal development journey as it's something that has completely transformed her life and is something that she is deeply passionate about.  Some takeaways from this episode: Most people chase happiness and never find it because they are approaching it with an outside-in approach, instead of an inside out approach. This leads to always chasing new gadgets, people, and trying to keep up with the Joneses. Sharing your vulnerabilities and challenges isn't as scary as it seems and can lead to building amazing new connections with like-minded people from all over the world. Of course, you'll get haters - the key is just not to focus there. Self-awareness is the number 1 key to growth yet often peoples ego's get in the way. When this happens having humility is crucial to stop and notice what you're doing is not working or serving you. Developing growth and a positive mindset is key in all walks of life. If you're feeding your mind with negative or the wrong thoughts you'll never going to be happy. Plus, much much more! Episode #013: Talking Fitness, Raising Your Pain Threshold and Living Your Purpose with Ollie Chick
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Grow2Gether community member, Personal Trainer, Civil Engineering graduate, and entrepreneur Ollie Chick as we discuss fitness, mindset, raising your pain threshold, and living your purpose. Ollie who is currently formulating two startups in the fitness industry, as well as using personal training to make ends meet and help people to accomplish their fitness goals has turned his pain into his purpose and in this episode, he shares how he did it, and the challenges he has faced on his journey. Some takeaways from this episode: Overtime human beings have mistaken comfort with happiness, which has resulted in our pain thresholds being lowered and has had an impact on all of our mental wellbeing. But, we should never give up on finding our calling in life. A lot of us don't have access to good leaders. Episode #010: How Starting My Personal Growth and Entrepreneurship Journey Has Changed My Life with Devesh Tilokani
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by the Founder & CEO of ProgressHolic Devesh Tilokani. Growing up, Devesh, was extremely shy, introverted, and reserved and he lived this way for the first 16 years of his life until he reached a point in his life where he asked himself the question of if I die today, would I be proud of the life I lived? His answer was no and that's when his personal growth journey started. In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast we dive into that journey Devesh has been on. Some takeaways from this episode: Emotional intelligence is the ability to see the emotion but not be the emotion and to slow down your reaction time to the point where you no longer react but respond. Reflection helps with this. Time is the most precious resource we have and most people aren't taking responsibility for where they are spending their time. In order to be the best person you can be, start by taking responsibility, ownership, and accountability of where and how you're spending your time. Enjoy the process of improving yourself including all of the ups and all of the downs and become addicted to daily progress. Younger generations are starting to wake up to the challenges the world face, and the impact that they can have on the world and not just accepting life for what it is. This generation is called generation impact and it's called that for a reason. Plus, much much more! Episode #009: How Personal Growth Helped Me to Overcome My Mental Health Challenges with Brendan Cutuli
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Grow2Gether community member, podcaster, and Founder of MetamorphUS Brendan Cutuli. While growing up Brendan faced mental and emotional challenges. He recently graduated Wentworth Institute of Technology with a bachelor's in Civil Engineering and is now on a mission to change the conversation about mental health, drug addiction, and homelessness through his podcast, Mental Insights, and organization MetamorphUS. Some takeaways from this episode: Become curious by questioning yourself, the ideals of other people, and society as a whole. When people start to change their habits and routines, they often try to do too much too soon and that's why they end up falling back into the old habits and/or routines they want to change. Take one step at a time, and try to implement one new habit and/or routine every month. Over time they will build up and have a compounding effect. Having and developing awareness is key to overcoming the challenges that we face in our lives. Meditation, journaling, nutrition, and having a good routine before you go to bed are key habits to develop that will make a huge difference in your life and will help with your mental health. Episode #008: How to Have Faith in Your Personal Development Journey to Reach Your Ultimate Destiny with Leeroy Mabonga
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Writer and the Founder of Faith, Health and Wealth Leeroy Mabonga as we dive into his story and learn how he has faith in his personal development journey - no matter what challenges he faces - as he knows he's on the right path to reach his ultimate destiny. Leeroy also shares how to develop a similar mindset and the challenges he has faced so far.  Some takeaways from this episode: Discipline is the first step to control and patience is the first step to self-control. Disciplined-patience is the first step to gaining and maintaining control. And, once you understand this strategy you'll able to move forward and develop yourself in a way where you're taking the actions that are moving you forward to your ultimate goal. Without perseverance, you'll end up getting "crushed" by the challenges and temporary defeats you will meet on your journey. Reflection is important as it develops self-awareness, is a great growth tool to learn from past experiences, and enables you to find solutions to the challenges that you're facing. Having a vision gives you purpose, something to wake up for, keeps you grounded, and is a simple way of looking at life. Believing and having faith in your vision is important in a world where if you don't you will become part of someone else's vision. Plus, much much more! Episode #007: What do You Need to Express to be Fulfilled with Tshepang Pooe
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Grow2Gether community member, Blogger, and Young Entrepreneur Tshepang Pooe, as we talk about her passion for wellness, the challenges she has faced and how she has been able to overcome those challenges by finding what she has needed to express to be fulfilled on an individual level. Tshpang also shares how you can do the same - especially for those who are naturally creative like Tshapang is and get lots of ideas. Some takeaways from this episode: Wellness isn't just physical or what we eat. It's our mindset, beliefs, self-love, and self-care.   If you're a creative person or get lots of ideas but don't know which ones to pursue understand that expression is your motivation and to really find out what it is you want to express ask yourself - 'what do I need to express to be fulfilled on an individual level?' and pursue the answers that you uncover. Curiosity is an undervalued trait that will help you to find the solutions to the challenges and answers that you're looking for. When you know why you're doing what you're doing, you'll doubt yourself less, have more confidence in yourself and it will give you the strength to continue in difficult times. Plus, much much more! Episode #006: How Meditation Changed My Life and Became My Calling with Hannah Galliers
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Grow2Gether community member and Mindfulness Coach Hannah Galliers. In this episode, Hannah shares her story of how not dealing with a personal trauma lead her to facing depression, turning to alcohol and being in a dark place, and how meditation changed all of that for her and ended up becoming her calling. Some takeaways from this episode: We all have challenges and obstacles that we face in our lives and talking about them really does help. If you find it hard to talk to a loved one, try talking to a counselor or someone else you trust. Surrounding yourself with positive and a network of people who actually want to listen to you and help you to grow is crucial in all walks of life, not just when you're in a dark place. The first step to change is to recognise that there is a problem and being open to change. We all have a purpose and a calling, Hannah's happened to be meditation. Episode #004: How to Identify and Utilise Your Skillsets as a Student in 2019 and Beyond with Oliver Carson
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Student & Upcoming Blogger Oliver Carson as we discuss his time at University, the challenges students face, and how students can identify (and utilise) their skillsets both at University and in the workplace. Oliver also shares why he thinks this is important. Some takeaways from this episode: Self-awareness is an important trait for everyone to develop and students are no different. Self-awareness can help you to identify and utilise your other skills which can help you to save time and get ahead whether it's in your studies, in the workplace, or in life in general. As we live in the information age there is a lot of information out there for students (and everyone) which can be confusing on which career path to go down and where you want to take your life. Developing self-awareness, identifying what you're good at, and trying new things to find what you're most passionate about can all help you navigate the noise. Reflecting on what you've enjoyed, been good at, and have liked as you've grown up is a good way of "going back to your roots" to find those livelong passions which can be turned into a vocation. Spend the time to do this and see what you might find. Plus, much much more! Episode #003: How to be Positive and Live Your Best Life in a World Where Others Want to Bring You Down with Gillian Robinson
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Blogger & Young Entrepreneur Gillian Robinson as we dive into her journey of starting a business, facing negativity and how she has been able to overcome that to be on the path to living her best life no matter what other think.  Some takeaways from this episode: Young people are following trends rather than listening to themselves, and who they are just to fit in with others. You become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with so be careful about who you are spending your time with. People can be so nasty and negative, complaining about everything, putting others down, and gossiping all the time rather than taking control and focusing on their own life. Taking control of your own life is the best and easiest way to enjoy life! Your friends, family, loved ones, and/or people, in general, will always have opinions on what you're doing and how you are living your life. The key thing to remember is that its none of your business - just as what they're doing is none of yours. This doesn't mean you can't give advice from time to time, just be mindful over the advice you're getting and/or giving. Too many people don't actually listen to their loved ones, friends, or the people around them as their sub-conscious bias sets in and are in such a rush to just share what they want to share rather than having meaningful conversations. It's having a negative effect on how as a society we are building relationships with others. Plus, much much more! Episode #002: Starting Your Conscious Personal Growth Journey with Alex Shailer
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by YouTuber & High-Performance Coach Alex Shailer as we dive into Alex's journey of conscious personal growth, how he got started on his journey and how you can too! Some takeaways from this episode: Most people do want to do something meaningful, create impact, and do something that they enjoy. So, the first step is to work out what that is for you and to increase your curiosity about new paths, ventures, and to life itself. Opportunities are all around us, and they are often found in the challenges that we face. For example, Climate Change. We could get really down about what is happening right now, or we can use it as an opportunity to create and do something really meaningful. Mindfulness is the foundation for everything. It creates greater clarity, awareness, and intuition and helps us to find and explore who we truly are. Fear is a primary emotion that has been with us since the beginning of time to keep us safe. Without it, in the past, we would have been eaten by Saber-toothed Tigers or banished from tribes that could have lead to death. However, our brains know no difference and instead of allowing fear to get the better of us, we must learn how to reprogram it by making logical decisions. Plus, much much more! Episode #001: Pursuing Your Passion with Emily Formea
In this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we're joined by Wellness Blogger & Coach Emily Formea as we dive into her journey of pursuing her passions, how she got started, and the challenges she has faced along the way. Some takeaways from this episode: We all have passions and when we say (or think) that we don't it's more that we are fearful that it won't resonate with someone else. In order to "find" your passion envision what you would do and how you would spend your time with no regards or judgments from anyone else. Stop doing what you think you have to do, what your parents want you to do, or what anyone else says you should do and focus on doing what makes you happy. Understand others will judge you, even those closest to you but that's a reflection of them and not you. Plus, much much more!
