Ep #182 Social media is not essential for a small business to be successful! ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

Social media has become an integral part of our lives, and it's easy to see why businesses would want to be a part of it. After all, social media can be a great way to connect with customers, promote your products or services, and build brand awareness.

But the truth is, social media isn't necessary for every business. In fact, there are some businesses that are better off without it.

Here are a few reasons why social media might not be right for your business:

Your target audience is not on social media. If your target audience is older adults, for example, they're less likely to be on social media than younger adults.

You don't have the time or resources to manage social media effectively. Social media can be a time-consuming and resource-intensive investment. If you don't have the time or resources to do it right, it's better to skip it altogether.

Your business model doesn't lend itself to social media. If your business is B2B, for example, you may not need social media to reach your customers.

If you're thinking about using social media for your business, it's important to weigh the pros and cons carefully. If you decide that social media isn't right for you, don't worry. There are plenty of other ways to reach your customers and build your brand. Before social media was invented people still managed to effectively market their businesses!

If you're interested in learning more about how to use social media effectively for your business, be sure to get in touch with me. And if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.

Ep #177 Five, Key stages to your customers journey, and why you need to know them ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

Ep #177 Five, Key stages to your customers journey, and why you need to know them ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

The customer journey is the series of interactions a customer has with a brand, product, or business as they become aware of a pain point and make a purchase decision. It can be divided into four main stages: awareness, consideration, decision, and loyalty.

It is important to understand the customer journey because it can help you improve your marketing and sales strategies. By understanding where customers are in their journey, you can tailor your messaging and offers to their needs. For example, if a customer is in the awareness stage, you may want to focus on advertising and social media campaigns that raise awareness of your brand. If a customer is in the consideration stage, you may want to offer free trials or discounts to encourage them to try your product or service. And if a customer is in the decision stage, you may want to offer a free consultation or guarantee to make them feel confident in their purchase.

By understanding the customer journey, you can create a more seamless and enjoyable experience for your customers. This can lead to increased sales, improved customer satisfaction, and stronger brand loyalty.

Here are some tips for mapping your customer journey:

• Start by identifying your target customers. Who are you trying to reach with your product or service? What are their needs and wants?

• Map out the different stages of the customer journey. What are the different touchpoints that customers have with your brand?

• Identify the key pain points for your customers at each stage of the journey. What are the challenges they are facing? What are their frustrations?

• Develop strategies to address the key pain points at each stage of the journey. How can you make it easier for customers to do business with you?

• Measure the results of your efforts. How are your customers responding to your efforts to improve the customer journey?

By mapping your customer journey and taking steps to improve it, you can create a more positive and rewarding experience for your customers. This can lead to increased sales, improved customer satisfaction, and stronger brand loyalty.

Ep #166 Rant ~ It’s not your content holding back your reach, it’s this! ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

At times we all often wonder just what we are doing wrong with our social media post. That carefully crafted piece of content that we have poured our heart and sole, spent many late nights writing and perfecting. Just to fund its reach flounders in the low single digits.

Ad new ourselves then begin to question whats wrong with the content, we are even told by platforms that the content needs to be better. But the truth is in fact that it’s the social media platform that has the power to increase or decrease the reach of your content. Its the algorithms, that determine who see’s it.

I have seen some of the worst content every go viral overnight, purely because the person has worked out how to gain the favours of the social media platforms algorithms. So grab a brew and have a quick listen to humble entrepreneurs thoughts on it.

Ep #165 3 main reasons why people don’t put their prices up ! ~ From The Humble Entre-preneur.

Right we have all been guilty about worrying about putting our prices up, worried about losing customer, are we offering enough value, can people afford your product or service! But in this day and age especial with the cost of living crisis it important to make sure we are charging enough.

One of my biggest mistake was under charging for 1-2-1 buisness mentoring, but these day I understand what I bring to the table and offer and now charge a price for what I bring to the table, not what other peoples budget is!

Have a listen as we discuss the three main reason why you might be undercharging for your product or service, and once you understand this you will start to increase your cost based on your value, experience etc.

The Pomodoro technique comes out the best and most productive time after time! I have personally used it for a number of years now and highly rate it for getting more done with your time.

Ep #160 More turnover does not always = more profit! ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

Ep #160 More turnover does not always = more profit! ~ From The Humble Entrepreneur.

“Turnover is vanity profit is sanity and cash is king!” ~ We have all heard that old chestnut, but does not mean it is not true!

When it comes to running a successful business, the most important aspect of financial management is cash flow. Whilst it may look impressive to have vast levels of revenue from sales, your primary focus should be on ensuring a regular inflow of cash. Don’t forget – even a multi million pound enterprise can still fail due to poor cash flow management.

So here we discuss just because you are increasing turnover do not always mean profit is increasing. And sometimes the increase in turn over does not always mean its worth having for a smaller increase in profits!

Ep #150 6 Reasons your need a Business Plan! From The Humble Entrepreneur.

When people think about business plans they think of some massive leather bound document only pulled out when you see the bank manager looking for funding. But in truth there as many other reasons you should have a business plan, even if it’s a basic one.

A business plan is a written document that describes your business. It covers objectives, strategies, sales, marketing and financial forecasts.

A business plan helps you to:

· clarify your business idea

· spot potential problems

· set out your goals

· measure your progress

A business plan is the blueprint for your business. Starting a business without a business plan is like building a house without a blueprint. Yet, unlike a house, a business isn't static. We often make the mistake of thinking of a business plan as a single document that you put together once when you're starting out and never touch again. But as the business develops, so should its business plan. In fact, any particular business may have multiple business plans as its objectives change.
