The podcast gives you an insight in my journey and what I’ve learned along the way. #humble.
Definition ~ A serial entrepreneur as someone who starts and leads one business after another or, multiple businesses at the same time. This is opposed to an entrepreneur who starts a single business and runs the day-to-day operations of that business until exit or retirement.
Now so many of us just assume that a serial entrepreneur is just after the money, they are some hard nosed businessperson trying to make a buck at whatever cost. But in this episode I discuss and from my experiences on dealing with and talking to serial entrepreneurs what their true driving force is!
Over the past 8-10 months I have been testing and working on a morning routine. I know it sounds tree hugging, hippy stuff, but I have tested and tested it and it works for me. You really need to have a morning routine so its work for you and sets your day up to be the most productive it can truly be!
From the 5am club to many others, people are starting to understand the benefits of a morning routine for life and business!
Mentor ~ an experienced and trusted advisor.
Therefore a business mentor is just that but for business. And they can be one of the biggest tools you can us to move you and your business forwards. In this episode we explore what a business mentor is and what the benefits of using one in business can be for you. The pros and cons, so to speak but also, what you need to do to get the best from them. They hold a massive amount of experience so you need to make sure you do enough to get the required benefits from them.
With the explosion of Facebook and social media, selling your products or services is now big business!
But there like many things in life is a right and wrong way to go about it. Here I talk about the best ways I have found that work to sell your stuff on Facebook. BY MY STUFF post don't work that's a fact. But there are a couple of easy simple strategies that will helps you to sell and to do so with less friction!
You can’t get help unless you take the time to actually ask people. I didn’t learn that lesson right away as an entrepreneur, but as soon as I did, my business, my reputation, and my network grew in ways I never thought possible.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is suck it up and ask for help, get over yourself trust me it helps to ask others for help. I discuss why you should ask for help, the benefits of asking for help and even who you should ask for help!
Tune in and take a listen!
At times there are certain projects or work that you simply have to keep doing for long enough for them to work.
To gain traction or market share, sometimes its about consistently doing something time over time and keep on keeping on to reach the goal. As Rob Moore would say you don't plant a seed and turn up the next day saying "Where's my fu(king tree?" It can take time to build a brand, a product or services.
And one of the failing of many entrepreneurs is shiny penny syndrome, take time to water and look after the grass on your side of the fence before jumping over it!
Collaboration is a powerful business tool for companies especially if you are a small business, regardless of their industry. It typically means organisations working together to address problems and achieve goals that seem to be out of reach when working alone.
By combining the effort, skills, technology, systems and expertise of different organisations, all partners in the network are better able to innovate and grow, and increase their competitiveness on many levels.
Marketing or sales, which is most important to your business?
This is my take on the age old question of whch one is most important for you and you business.
Let me know if you agree, or not. Both are going to be massive for your business, and no one buys from a business if it not visable.
The coronavirus shutdown could mean bulging waistlines with most of the nation’s favourite sports and activities banned for a extended period of time.
But being trapped in the house doesn’t have to mean being stuck on the sofa, and going crazy! Most people are still using this time to make sure they are productive and keeping fit and well. Here are my personal 5 tips that I do to make sure I am fit and hopefully staying mentally well. Others rather than coming out of lockdown with a new skill, I will have a liver problem or a obesity issue…
Many people tell me they are feeling overwhelmed by running their own small business. Especially at these trying times we are having under lockdown.
It doesn’t matter whether your business is brand new or 20 years old, there are so many things to juggle as a business owner. You are not alone in feeling this way, and there are some very common reasons why we feel overwhelmed.
Here are 9 things that I personally do when I become overwhelmed that help to deal with the situation.
If we are heading for a recession or not we are still waiting to find out, and the Corona Virus looks set to help tip the balance! The time are seriously troubling for many business. And people are looking at cutting budgets where they can.
And marketing is one of the first things to get hit and hit hard. But that's the wrong thing to cut first trust me, if anything you should increase your spend. And certainly make sure you are using all the free channels that social media brings you!
We are always trying to to be more productive you have to work hard and succeed. Which is simply not true, yes hard work cannot be beaten. But there are other things we can do to make us more productive.
This is what I have found over the years, hard work alone is not enough. You have to combine a number of things to get it working for your productivity.

A blast cast episode on ghosting and how to deal with it!
Definition ~ the practice of ending a personal relationship with someone by suddenly and without explanation withdrawing from all communication.
Ghosting someone is just a form of rejection, all be it a harsh one. As the person doing the ghosting is more often than not still very active on things like facebook or linkedin. But is completely ignoring you or your attempts at communication.
Trust me and speaking from experience if you are trying to complete on price and price alone you are on a rat race to the bottom of the pile in business. And it is far more damaging to you and your brand than losing a few sales.
There are many alternatives to competing on price. The first is to make quality your selling point or simply add more value!
“Never depend on a single income.” — Warren Buffet
Most rich, millionaires or billionaires have 3 or more streams of income.
You would not have a business with one customer so why have one source of income. It makes no sense, if that customer stops giving you work you are bang in trouble with no income. The same is true with one source of income.
I don’t subscribe to this thinking of if you have a plan B people won’t believe in plan A. It works for some and that’s great not knocking it but not for me. And I will give you seven reasons why!

I get asked a lot about what business people can start that has no setup fees or has very low initial setup fees. And once again there are no right and wrong answer. And a lot of it will depend on a person’s skill set.
But here a 12 business that I know are low to no fee startup’s, some can be done part-time along side a full time job. So will bring in six figure plus yearly fees. Some anyone of any age can do and some will require a specific skill set. But all work…
