Vol 54 Presents Nate Hyrn, Founder of Acorn Hills
Our Story:
Acorn Hills Clothing Company was created by a college sophomore who loved both the outdoors and looking good. The company, although very small at first, set out to provide premium clothing products. Although similar to other big brands, we provided these products for a fraction of the price. However clothing is only a small part of what we stand for . Along with this, Acorn Hills focuses on giving back to its community by taking the initiative to help revitalize forests and areas of land that fill this great place we call earth. With a percentage of our sales donated to charities and organizations such as the National Forest Foundation and others that align with these goals. By providing things such as biodegradable packaging, and plantable clothing tags, we pay homage to our acorn logo by practicing what we preach. By also planting acorns every year to help replenish trees in nature, we continue to make a positive change for the outdoors, no matter how small. People have asked, "why choose clothing?" It's simple really, when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good...you DO GOOD! We just help you get there.
Vol 53 Presents Michael Burcin, Founder of Under Par Consulting
UNDER PAR CONSULTING IS THE RESULT OF OVER 20 YEARS OF TEACHING GOLF AND COACHING AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF THE COLLEGIATE GAME.
Wanting to help players and families navigate the road from junior golf all the way to the elite levels of professional golf, we want to prepare the entire person and player for the next level. With thousands of contacts in the fields of coaching, the business of golf, and instruction, we have access to every available resource that an aspiring golfer will need.
When it comes to finding the right mix of academics and athletics, locating the perfect instructor, or creating a tournament game plan, we believe that consistency and dependability are the keys to success in all areas. Whether it is a practice plan, keeping statistics, a consistent fitness routine, or goal setting, staying on track with a view of what is next is vital.
I created Under Par Consulting after a coaching career that gave me more life rewarding experiences and relationships then I could ever hope for. What I missed was time with my wife and growing daughter. After realizing that being home to see volleyball games and helping with homework was rewarding, I decided to create UPC as a way to continue my passion of helping players and families.

Vol 27 Presents Mac Thayer, Founder of The Junior Golf Scoreboard
As a former junior golf Dad I knew that parents were struggling to learn more about the sport and how to enter tournaments. College coaches had no way to follow the sport nationally and there was very little information about playing the sport or how college recruiting worked. So we began building the Scoreboard with content that we hope would be useful.
My passions include family time with Porter, Christopher and Alison, working as an adult volunteer in youth Ministry, playing golf, and working on issues surrounding conservation and the challenges of climate change.
