With 3.4/10 stars on IMDB and 4% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film, which is VERY loosely based on the John Norman novel series, is not the most popular in the general population or even with fans of the novels. Rekkr has read some of the books and Mx Dizzy hasn’t, which ended up not really mattering much beyond knowing how different the movie is! Episode Summary: This week, Mx. Dizzy and Pup Rekkr talk about vorarephilia! In this episode, we will start off by defining the terms specific to the vore community and language thereof. We will discuss the parallels of vore in society and media as well as a couple of infamous cases which show what can happen in the astronomically rare case that someone takes this kink too far. Then we’ll talk about how most vorarephiles participate in their kink purely in fantasy, why they may have the desire to participate in this kink, and a few examples of how one might do so. Vore is a more extreme and fantastical kink in which the line between fantasy and reality must be bold! It’s also hugely misunderstood even by those in the kink and leather communities. Hopefully this episode will shed some light on this shadowed topic.

Colorado Leather Fest was founded in 2015 and is a weekend event “honoring past, current, and future titleholders in a variety of paths” and “building community, having fun, laughing, crying, sharing, learning, and understanding.” There are contests, presenters, classes, vendors, demos, and peak socialization available for kinksters from whatever side of the slash (or not) or wherever they come from! While there are classes and demos on BDSM play skills and techniques, the focus of CLF is on “Leather/BDSM history and culture, a variety of relationship styles and the issues associated with them, and service skills found in Leather and M/s or D/s relationships and culture.” The hosts of The Kinky Tavern will be attending CLF the weekend of May 5th to volunteer, learn, discuss, socialize, network, and just vibe with other kinky people and people of leather!
