131. Sponaugle's Gods
On February 29, 2024, Judge Thomas Sponaugle, a Lancaster County judge, heard arguments by the state against Amish farmer Amos Miller. The next day, Sponaugle granted an injunction against Miller, forbidding the farmer from feeding his neighbors with his natural dairy products. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Joel Saint and Chris Hume talk about the 3.5 hour hearing they sat through and the idolatry of Sponaugle.

130. Dave and Jen Stoltzfus Discuss The Lancaster Patriot
Jen Stoltzfus, founder of The Lancaster Patriot, and Dave Stoltzfus, CEO of The Lancaster Patriot, join Chris Hume to discuss the history of The Lancaster Patriot and give an update about The Lancaster Patriot's future.
129. Amos Miller and the Future of Food Freedom in America
Amos Miller recently released a statement stating that an injunction by a Lancaster County judge is forbidding him from selling any raw dairy products. “[I]t breaks our hearts that the state of Pennsylvania is forcing us to turn so many of you away when you beg us for the food you depend on for your health,” the statement said. On this brief episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume reads the full statement from Miller and also plays a segment with some comments from Miller’s attorney, Robert Barnes. Amos Miller’s hearing is currently scheduled for February 29th, 1:30 PM before Judge Sponaugle in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas, 50 North Duke Street, Lancaster PA. Amos invites all his supporters to attend. 128. The Nanny State and the Medical Industry
Shak Khoury joins Chris Hume, Joel Saint, and Matt Kenitzer to discuss the potential for an official Muslim holiday in Pennsylvania, and the implications of the growing Nanny State in the medical field.
127. Chris Hume Interviews Timothy Decker | Romans 13, Civil Magistrates, and Tyranny
Chris Hume is joined by Pastor Timothy Decker on this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast. Decker is the author of the forthcoming book, A Revolutionary Reading of Romans 13. On this episode, Decker gives a brief overview of his book, and then he and Hume interact with various aspects of civil justice, the law of God, and the civil magistrate.
126. Dave Zimmerman’s Statement About Amos Miller
State Rep. Dave Zimmerman recently released a statement about Amos Miller, the Amish farmer in Lancaster County who is being told by the state of Pennsylvania that he is not allowed to sell thousands of food items in his farm store. In the statement, Zimmerman opposes the idea that Miller and his customers should have the freedom to make their own choices without government intervention. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume analyzes Zimmerman’s public statement and explains how it is nothing less than a promotion of statism.

125. Will Any Civil Leader Stand Against Tyranny? | A Challenge to Dave Zimmerman, Doug Mastriano, et al.
An Amish farmer was recently raided, some of his property was seized, and hundreds of his products were "detained" in place, making it "illegal" to move them. Pennsylvania State Rep. Dave Zimmerman recently released a video interview he did with Sec. Russell Reading, the head of the Pa. Dept. of Agriculture. Zimmerman did not publicly oppose the tyranny of the state's department of agriculture, nor did he voice strong support for Amos Miller and food freedom. Are there any men of courage in the ranks of civil leadership in the state willing to stand with Amos Miller? To date, it appears not.
124. The Nanny State Versus Amos Miller
An Amish farmer in Lancaster County is once again being harassed by state agents for the great crime of offering food outside of the government's approval. This is a battle for freedom and liberty in the face of tyranny. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume is joined by Joel Saint, Travis Schmalhofer, and Luke Saint to address this ongoing story.
123. Is Amos Miller’s Milk Deadly?
Amos Miller, an Amish organic farmer in Lancaster County, has come under attack (again) by a civil government hellbent on regulating our food into oblivion. The Nanny State thrives on fear and dependence; and the Nanny State destroys true liberty. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume shares some thoughts on the Amos Miller story and claims that Miller’s milk “killed” someone.

122. The Strange Bedfellows Defending Satanic Idols in Iowa
Earlier this month, Michael Cassidy, a Mississippi man, took down a Baphomet statue (erected by The Satanic Temple) that was set up inside the Iowa Statehouse. Cassidy said, “My conscience is held captive to the word of God, not to bureaucratic decree…and so I acted.” Meanwhile, both Satanists and Republican legislators are decrying Cassidy’s actions in the name of “religious freedom.” On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Luke Saint, Matt Kenitzer, Joel Saint, and Chris Hume discuss this ongoing story.
121. Graham Gunden's Belief About American Christians Prior to 2020
Tom Ascol and Graham Gunden recently interviewed Timothy Decker about his forthcoming book on Romans 13. During that podcast interview, Pastor Gunden claimed that prior to 2020 the issue of disobeying tyrants was "not something that anyone ever talked about...as if this could ever happen in our lifetime." Is Gunden's statement true? And if not, what does that reveal about the ignorance of a pastor like Gunden? And how does that bode for the future? In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume addresses the fact that pastors like Gunden have been (willfully?) blind to the hundreds and hundreds of Christians who have been resisting American tyrants for many decades prior to 2020. 120. United Methodist Church Split (feat. Paul Miller)
Thousands of congregations are leaving the United Methodist Church denomination over the issue of homosexuality. Despite the fact that the number of congregations affirming a biblical view of marriage are in the majority, the liberal wing of the denomination has succeeded in getting the traditional congregations to leave. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, local Methodist pastor Paul Miller joins Chris Hume, Travis Schmalhofer, and Joel Saint to discuss the recent happenings in the United Methodist Church.
119. On Jared Longshore's Definition of the New Covenant
James White and Jared Longshore have been going back-and-forth concerning the new covenant and its members. At this point the informal "debate" consists of at least three articles from Longshore and several podcast episodes from White (linked below). In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume interacts with Longshore's position (mainly from his article published on Dec. 12, 2023) and provides an overview of the position of the new covenant wherein, in the words of John Owen, the new covenant "does effectually communicate all the grace and mercy contained in it to all and everyone with whom it is made; with whomsoever it is made, his sins are pardoned." 118. Chris Walker's Rationale for Cancelling Corporate Worship in 2020
In 2020, when Westminster Presbyterian Church (the largest Reformed church in Lancaster County, PA) cancelled the assembly of the saints, Senior Pastor Chris Walker released a video and written statement explaining "three clear biblical commands guiding our decision not to meet for worship right now." He (and his elders) cancelled the assembly of the saints and appealed to the recommendation of the civil government as support for that decision. On this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume interacts with Walker's 2020 video and critiques the arguments Walker presented in favor of canceling church for weeks. (Walker and the church elders also required masks for the first Sunday when they finally reopened.)

Chris Hume, Dave Stoltzfus, Joel Saint, and Matt Kenitzer discuss a local prayer breakfast, the myth of neutrality, and Romans 13.
116. The Truth About John MacArthur Closing Grace Church in 2020
John MacArthur said it was an “easy call” to shut down the assembly of the saints. Paradoxically, he also claimed that the assembly of the saints is “the most essential of all things.” Then, for months, MacArthur sent a message to his church (and the watching world) that the church was closed. Strangely, some are denying that MacArthur shut down the church. For example, one person wrote, “They never shut down.” Why are people whitewashing the past? Additionally, MacArthur (and hundreds of pastors like him) has not repented of his actions in scattering the sheep. In this episode of The Lancaster Patriot Podcast, Chris Hume provides the truth about MacArthur and the suspension of the assembly of the saints. Be sure to order a copy of Chris’ brand-new book, Scattering the Sheep.

111. Robert Godfrey, Coercion, and Christendom
Robert Godfrey said, "I would argue that there is something, maybe not everything, but something liberating about the end of Christendom. Where Christians no longer need to be in the position of being coercive and go back to what I would say is the original Christian stance – namely, that we seek to be persuasive." Those words were part of "The End of Christendom" mini-conference held at Zeltenreich Reformed Church in Lancaster County, PA. On this episode, Chris Hume analyzes Godfrey's use of the term "coercion" in his lectures.

In this first part of a two-part analysis, Chris, Joel, Luke, and Travis critique Godfrey’s first session on “The End of Christendom.”
