Ep 113 | Platforms and products. Do they have a place in recruitment? Jake Gorgol from OutScout.

Ep 113 | Platforms and products. Do they have a place in recruitment? Jake Gorgol from OutScout.

Joining us from Austin, Texas, Jake Gorgol is our latest guest. Jake works for OutScout who are part of the JCW Group, and the business describes itself as a "technology talent matching platform".

The great thing about this conversation is that this is not an add-on the existing recruitment and staffing services, it's a dedicated business trying to do things differently (but still retaining the human element).

Jake's marketing background is a product one having previously worked at Abercrombie & Fitch and we dive into how his experiences there have guided his approach in the staffing world. He is also being given the time to build out the long-term marketing assets that will pay dividends down the line, something we can all relate to.

Nice to have a US accent back on the show as well as a shift in the conversation a bit. I hope you enjoy the chat.

Yo Paiger! Thanks for having our back.

Ep 112 | He played knick knack on the gate. Haydn Morgans from Search Stack.

Ep 112 | He played knick knack on the gate. Haydn Morgans from Search Stack.

The obsession to record ROI is real. Whether it's putting pressure on ourselves or if it's coming from above, we can get consumed by proving a direct return - sometimes stopping us doing anything at all. In this episode we are joined by Haydn Morgans from Search Stack who gives his opinion on all things gated content, community and podcasts.

Haydn's wide-ranging experience of working with multiple recruitment agencies enables him to provide real insight into what's working at the moment, what we need to do better and what opportunities are out there.

I hope you enjoy it and, as always, Paiger - thanks for your support.

Ep 111 | Everything is Figureoutable. Amity Watts from Cubed Talent.

Ep 111 | Everything is Figureoutable. Amity Watts from Cubed Talent.

After a little podcast siesta (or maybe a hibernation?), we are back with Amity Watts from Cubed Talent joining us having recently started a new role. We dive into her personal takes of the candidate experience when searching for a new position and she gives plenty of guidance to anybody potentially looking at new pastures.

With a load of experience on the marketing agency side before joining the world of recruitment, Amity also shares her 'best bits' from that part of her career and how it's helped shape her approach in our crazy land. Throw in some chat about being a working parent, practising gratitude and making everyone a marketer then we've got an excellent comeback episode.

Paiger stuck around though, which is nice. Cheers team.

Ep 110 | Live life to the full. Josie Hughes from Highfield Professional Services.

Ep 110 | Live life to the full. Josie Hughes from Highfield Professional Services.

Getting Josie on this show has been a long time coming. With almost two decades of recruitment marketing expertise, the majority in a single company, we have wanted to dive into her experiences creating customer-first, purpose-led marketing strategies for a long time. Tragically, this didn't happen when we originally planned because Josie's husband, Sam, had just been informed that his treatment for bowel cancer was not working. Sam passed away in September 2021.
But Josie still wanted to join us on the show, after leaving Gattaca and joining the company Sam co-founded - Highfield Professional Services. Not just to talk about people-centric marketing, design-led thinking, nappy designs and building an employer brand service before it was cool - but how we all deal with loss.
We'll be forever grateful for Josie opening the door to an incredibly personal subject and her insight into marketing, career choices and purpose.
And thank you to Paiger for their continued support to allow these conversations to happen.

Ep 109 | That's not my name! Ellie Finey from Fraser Dove International.

Ep 109 | That's not my name! Ellie Finey from Fraser Dove International.

Ellie Finey (pronounced "Fine-y") from Fraser Dove kindly joined me for the latest episode of the podcast. We rambled on loads about moving from the world of agency marketing to an in-house team and how the sense of belonging is important to her and her growth.

Ellie, as well as managing her team over at FDI, also actively mentors marketers and we talk about this and how it builds key leadership skills. A key part of this is accepting that you don't know everything and surrounding yourself with people who can keep you learning all of the time.

Another drop of recruitment marketing experiences for you all to enjoy, thanks in part to the lovely lot over at Paiger. Enjoy!

Ep 108 | Check yo' self before you wreck yo' self. Ben Leeson from the rec hub.

Ep 108 | Check yo' self before you wreck yo' self. Ben Leeson from the rec hub.

Ben Leeson from the rec hub kicks off season ten of The Lonely Marketer talking all things brand. In a world where we are obsessed with metrics and ROI, Ben and the other founders of the rec hub are well and genuinely brand-led and believe everything else will take care of itself.

It was great to hear from Ben's brand background and how this is translating to the world of talent. If us marketers can be trusted with the brand and see the long-term value in tandem with what we need to do in the short term then we're going to be in a blinking good place.

As always, Paiger remains loyal supporters of our community and we couldn't do this without them. Big up recruitment marketing supporters.

Ep 107 I Just do it. Rowena Wilding from The Boden Group.

Ep 107 I Just do it. Rowena Wilding from The Boden Group.

We had to remove the obvious expletive from the title here but there is not a better descriptor of a common theme throughout Rowena Wilding's episode. Rowena's background has given her wealth of experiences, both personal and professional that has shaped the way she works in marketing.

Coming into a new business, Rowena went on a mission to shift company tone of voices and how individuals communicated. Weekly workshops, a few carrots, a couple of sticks and a lot of championing success made it work.

If there's ever a demonstration of taking a bull by the horns, Rowena's approach is it. From introducing a story-telling approach, putting account-based marketing on a pedestal and trying and failing a lot it, this is how we move recruitment marketing forward.

We also speak openly about a topic close to Rowena's heart and something we can all be better at. As a queer woman, Rowena says that we should all be doing more about our diversity, inclusion and equity efforts and why it really matters at a human level.

Paiger, you continue to be legends by supporting us.

Ep 106 | What's in it for me? Luca Rosi from Talentwrite.

Ep 106 | What's in it for me? Luca Rosi from Talentwrite.

Copywriting in recruitment marketing. Quite niche. Luca Rosi joins us in what is a really practical episode dissecting plenty of elements of content including raising the profile of your consultants and brand through sector-specific content, the importance of repurposing content and why copywriting is not something you can "just do".

Luca is extremely passionate and we agreed and disagreed on a couple of things whilst having a fair bit of fun. Having worked in a specialist role within recruitment since 2008, including a big stint at Hays, Luca knows his stuff and they'll be plenty you'll be able to implement into your day-to-day jobs.

Happy listening and big thanks, as ever, to Paiger.

Ep 105| It's not you, it's me. Christina Shiels from CSG Talent.

Ep 105| It's not you, it's me. Christina Shiels from CSG Talent.

Sometimes you just need that bit of a change in your career. But that doesn't come with it's own challenges and experiences and that's what we speak to Christina about in this episode. After spending several years in one business, Christina decided to take the jump into a new company in a new sector. We recorded this episode with her six months into her new role and cover overcoming imposter syndrome and how it's completely normal to experience these feelings.

There's also talk about content and how we're in danger of being too 'samey' as everyone else so need to step things up, use our audiences and make real efforts to stand out.

Lovely jubbly, we hope you enjoy it as much as so many people enjoy using Paiger (our sponsors)...

Ep 104 | (Not) Emily in Paris. Robert Woodford from The Marketing Junction.

Ep 104 | (Not) Emily in Paris. Robert Woodford from The Marketing Junction.

Digging into the best part of 20 years of recruitment marketing experience is always going to throw up a few gems so it was brilliant to get Robert Woodford from The Marketing Junction on the show.

We dive into the discussions about building a true career in recruitment marketing and how the exposure to B2B, B2C and everything in between is of a huge benefit to your future. There are caveats in the chat around not running before you can walk and enjoying the moment which in the chaotic and transitional world we live in currently is very pertinent.

As well as sharing his views on the true reality of recruitment marketing, Robert also opens up about what he would have done differently in his career, the mistakes he made and what he learned from them.

Hey, Paiger, thanks for the support.

Ep 103 | Hey! Where's the remote? Laura Brown from Engtal/Biotal.

Ep 103 | Hey! Where's the remote? Laura Brown from Engtal/Biotal.

How do you build a 'detached' marketing function? Laura Brown has done exactly that in what is an American HQ'd recruitment business with offices in Chicago and Dallas. Laura has rapidly built her team in Newcastle in the North East of England and we speak about how she makes that work, her experience of being a senior marketing hire in a start-up recruitment business and what she thinks the future holds for herself and recruitment marketing in general.

This is a genuinely unique recruitment marketing setup and it was brilliant to dive deep into what is possible regardless of distances and timezones.

Thanks for taking the time for listening and thank you to Paiger for their continued brilliant support.

Ep 102 | Blisters and bleeding. Richard Turrell from Handle.

Ep 102 | Blisters and bleeding. Richard Turrell from Handle.

When you think of a heritage brand, your brain may automatically go to a stuffy and dated place. But that's not the case with Handle which is where Richard Turrell works as Marketing Director. Operating in the creative sectors, the business has kept pace with the innovation and change in the industry since 1978 and Richard is leading that charge with his marketing approach.

If you're interested in making your marketing less jazzing up and more commercial then this is an episode for you where Richard talks about putting the brand and soul at the centre of the company but focused on monetisation.

A hugely enjoyable show with one of the best in the business. I hope you enjoy.

Cheers Paiger for your support.

Ep 101 | No offence to Cheltenham. Josie Malone from TXM Group.

Ep 101 | No offence to Cheltenham. Josie Malone from TXM Group.

Josie Malone from TXM Group joins us as the podcast engine gets whirring once again. Josie manages countless brands at TXM Group and has been on the process of consolidating strategies and activity.

We speak through all of the changes Josie has seen in her time as a marketer and about the challenges of managing expectations when you set the bar high.

2022 sees the Paiger team continue with their unwavering and very much appreciated support and with a brand new jingle voiced by Mr. Westall himself.

We're back, baby!

Ep 100 | Everything is awesome. Glenn Southam from TwoEnds.

We got there. Episode 100!
We really didn't know what to do to mark episode 100 of this incredible journey, but the community suggested that the host should turn guest and answer some questions himself. The fabulous Janine Owen put her hands up to be the one to turn the tables and asked all of the usual questions around recruitment marketing but also about the origins of The Lonely Marketers and where it goes to next.
*Personal message from Glenn: I can't thank every single one of you enough who has listened to the podcast over the past 100 episodes, it's been an incredible journey of learning and inspiration for me and I only hope it has for you too. On to the next 100.

Ep 99 | Setting up your recruitment marketing for 2022.

Ep 99 | Setting up your recruitment marketing for 2022.

In the first of a double-header of bonus shows to bring 2021 recruitment marketing podcasting to a close, three guests from episodes past get together to talk about what you need to focus on for a great 2022.

As part of Louise Triance's and UKRecruiter's Marketing Congress, Glenn was joined by Chelsie Harry from Levin Group, Kris Holland from Charlton Morris and Helena Sullivan from Trinnovo Group. We look at four important pillars of marketing: Process, Content, Tracking and People which sees us talking about automation, personal branding and many other buzzwords we've heard throughout the year.

Enjoy, stay safe and we'll see you very soon for episode 100...

Ep 98 | Big fish, little fish, cardboard box. Catherine Henderson from EMR.

Ep 98 | Big fish, little fish, cardboard box. Catherine Henderson from EMR.

After spending her early years of marketing in the travel industry, Catherine entered the world of recruitment marketing by joining Michael Page where she spent seven years before joining marketing recruitment specialists EMR.

In this episode, we chat about the differences in recruitment marketing in larger and smaller companies and how there is certainly no one-size-fits-all marketer. We also dive into the challenges that we are all facing at the moment...candidate shortages. Should marketers get as obsessed with this as consultants? Or should we always be keeping one eye on the bigger picture?

Data, insight and the impact of added value content also rears its beautiful head as it's something EMR does really well.

Oh, Glenn's kids make a loud and screaming appearance at the end of the episode as well...

Cheers Paiger, your support is as welcome as a mulled cider on a cold winter's night.

Ep 97 | Time to change the narrative. Amanda Ansell from Carrington West.

Ep 97 | Time to change the narrative. Amanda Ansell from Carrington West.

When a recruitment business brings on an experienced marketer as their first marketing hire, it's always a good sign. Amanda was that person at Carrington West and in this episode she talks through her journey of setting up processes for success, understanding what she is good (and not good) at and working in true collaboration with the teams around her.

This is a brilliant episode that really highlights how your attitude and self-appreciation of your skills and knowledge can create a brilliant career in recruitment marketing for you. If you're starting or building a function there are some brilliant snippets of insight that you'll be able to take away into your own department.

We're not back-office, we're not support. We're the marketing department. :-)

Thanks Paiger for your support as always.

Ep 96 | The Rise of the Recruitment Marketer.

Ep 96 | The Rise of the Recruitment Marketer.

*Bonus Episode* I (Glenn) had the opportunity to sit down with Simon Lewis of Members Only as part of his recent showcase event to talk very broadly about recruitment marketing.

We start by discussing the past 18 months and how this has elevated the role of marketing within recruitment and what the characteristics are are the businesses who are doing 'it' well.

Looking forward we discuss how and what marketers can do to get their voice heard, their ideas implemented and how they need to step up to grab the opportunity available.

The Rise of the Recruitment Marketer. Your time is now.

Ep 95 | Fresh watermelon, anyone? Matt Harland from Talent.

Ep 95 | Fresh watermelon, anyone? Matt Harland from Talent.

You'll have to listen to the entire episode to find out about the watermelon reference but there is far juicier content in this 40 minutes...

Matt has been working at Talent for almost eight years and throughout that time there has been some huge change, both in terms of the company growth and also Matt's individual skills.

Initially, being hugely passionate about design, Matt speaks about his journey of growing a team and how data now plays such an integral role in Talent's campaign-led marketing approach.

With a structured way of working, Talent take an approach of building their content around six campaigns a year tied in with the strategic business objectives. Mapping journeys, utilising tech and having a clean database to do 'proper' marketing - this all exists for Matt and his team. Sounds like a dream, right?

Great episode to understand how things can work and what steps you need to take to get it working.

Yo, Paiger! Congrats on your recent innovation win, proud to have you have partners.

Ep 94 | Time to hustle. Jayde Pope from Greystone.

Ep 94 | Time to hustle. Jayde Pope from Greystone.

Recruitment can be done differently. And in this episode, Jayde Pope from Greystone explains how. She speaks about how her business operates more like a 'club' for engineers and how that empowers her to get close to her audiences and push the boundaries a bit with marketing.

With a background in sales (both estate agency and recruitment), we dive into how that experience enables her to link sales and marketing more effectively and get the buy-in for content and campaigns (Spoiler alert - it's all about communication).

Also, for about eight years, Jayde had a side-hustle which she talks about and how the skills she picked up there have benefited her in her career.

As a personal branding champion, a 'handsy creative' and fully remote worker Jayde's story is an energetic and insightful one.

Paiger, as always, thank for turning up and supporting us.

Ep 93 | Just say no. Daniel Patterson from Cpl (UK).

Ep 93 | Just say no. Daniel Patterson from Cpl (UK).

Staying in one job for 13+ years is not very common anymore. Let alone in recruitment marketing. That being said, if you're in the right company then the entrepreneurial nature of our industry means you can learn and progress at an incredible rate.

This is one of a few things we discuss with Daniel Patterson from Cpl. Having started as a marketing assistant way back when, he now has a significant team, his scope has grown and with a recent acquisition - so has his opportunities.

We speak about what Daniel has learnt over his career, including gaining the ability to say "no" more in terms of reactive work, and what he'd do differently. We also really dive into why an actual career in recruitment marketing is a real thing, not a myth.

Crack open a cold one for Paiger whilst you listen, it wouldn't be possible without them.

Ep 92 | The impact of mentorship on marketing. Rebecca Lauder-Fletcher from SGI.

Ep 92 | The impact of mentorship on marketing. Rebecca Lauder-Fletcher from SGI.

Do you have a mentor? Have you considered it? This is one of many things we discuss with Rebecca Lauder-Fletcher from Source Group International. She has benefited from the knowledge, support and network of a mentor throughout the pandemic period and we chat about why she reached out in the first place.

Diving into the marketing, we chat about Rebecca's branding approach and how she has applied it to the three companies in the SGI portfolio and how this translated into her community marketing approach which has ramped up recently.

If you're interested in personal development as well as any aspects of employer branding (and branding in general) then hit the play button.

Have you checked out Paiger yet? You should, and not just because they show us a lot of love supporting the podcast.

Ep 91 | That's the way, aha, aha I like it. Kate Harding from MA (Montreal Associates).

Ep 91 | That's the way, aha, aha I like it. Kate Harding from MA (Montreal Associates).

Kate Harding joined MA (then known as Montreal Associates) knowing that she was taking on a big project(s). Those projects were a complete rebrand, one recruitment website and a careers website. All as a team of one.

In this episode, we delve into the catalysts, the approaches and the results of pushing boundaries and 'sticking to your guns' when it comes to trying something a bit different when it comes to digital marketing.

This is a brilliant listen for anybody reviewing their brand, website or purpose at the moment. With more companies in reflection mode over the past 12 months, 'what do we want to be known for?' is a question being asked more and more - Kate's experiences can start to help answer some of those questions.

Thanks as always to Paiger for their support.

Ep 90 | Can recruitment marketing be more e-commerce? Brian Whigham from Venn Digital/Vennture.

Ep 90 | Can recruitment marketing be more e-commerce? Brian Whigham from Venn Digital/Vennture.

What can recruitment marketers learn from the world of e-commerce? What do the likes of Gymshark and Boohoo do that we can take inspiration from and apply to our candidate and client (digital) experiences?

In what is a wide-ranging episode that discusses recruitment websites, internal hiring, technology, content, leadership and lots more Brian speaks through his experience of what works (and what doesn't) and offers advice to marketers to try and get one of those seats at the top table.

Paiger get a bonus mention in the episode as well which I suppose is OK thanks to all of their support...

Ep 89 | You've done well my young apprentice. Sean Furey & Max Barber from First Point Group.

Ep 89 | You've done well my young apprentice. Sean Furey & Max Barber from First Point Group.

There are not many 21-year-olds with four years of recruitment marketing experience but we speak to one in this show. As recruitment marketing teams across the land start to look to build out their teams and capabilities we explore the apprenticeship route from somebody who has been on the journey.
From managing expectations to being emotionally intelligent in management it is clear that apprenticeships are not the cheap option for businesses and in some ways, it's more about the apprentice rather than what they actually do. You'll reap the rewards later.
We also jump into the subject of 'taught' marketing and learning on the job with all of the pros and cons that come along with it.
Paiger, you're still here championing us and for that we thank you.

Ep 88 | What do marketers actually do in recruitment? Mitch Sullivan from copywritingforrecruiters.com

Ep 88 | What do marketers actually do in recruitment? Mitch Sullivan from copywritingforrecruiters.com

Mitch Sullivan joins the show to talk about a range of topics from social selling, retained recruitment, marketers' purpose in recruitment agencies and, of course, copywriting.

As ever, Mitch shares his knowledge and experience in his own inimitable style. The episode is likely to challenge your thinking as well as being a great resource if you're looking to improve your job adverts in particular.

Paiger, your support is appreciated as always.

Ep 87 | Three brands and two little babies. Helena Sullivan from Trinnovo Group.

Ep 87 | Three brands and two little babies. Helena Sullivan from Trinnovo Group.

Helena entered the world of recruitment marketing at 18, continued to work whilst at university and twenty years later is still here. In this episode, we explore what has changed for Helena in that time, how she built her marketing team from one to 11 at the SR Group and the importance of being flexible in your approach.

Helena had two children in quick succession and returned to the world of work in April 2021. We discuss how being 'out of the game' for two years made her feel and how she prepared herself for a brand new role at Trinnovo Group. We touch upon what trends are impacting recruitment marketing and also offer advice for any recruitment marketers looking to take a 'step-up'.

If you want to learn and hear from one of the best, then jump in right now. Talking about one of the best, thanks Paiger for your continued support.

Ep 86 | Reach for the stars. Jack Martin from Gattaca.

Ep 86 | Reach for the stars. Jack Martin from Gattaca.

"I want the the marketing department to be the biggest ROI in the entire business, including sales." A bold statement from Jack in this episode but you can tell he is putting all of the building blocks in place to achieve it.

Starting his career doing bids, Jack has progressed to lead both the marketing and bids team and although he appreciates he does not know everything about recruitment marketing, you get the feeling his desire to improve everything will see him go far.

This episode talks about agility, Scrum methodology and process automation as well. We're certain it's going to give loads of food for thought to you as to how you can setup marketing

Over to you to give it a listen and give your feedback. Ta Paiger, it goes without saying.

Ep 85 | Cookin' up a storm. Chelcie Harry from The Levin Group.

What is it like being a recruitment marketer in a recruitment business that is replicating being a tech-start up? From getting seven-figure funding from day one, through to onboarding 123 graduates in a single day, Chelcie Harry tells us. With two years of recruitment marketing experience under her belt, Chelcie joined The Levin Group (which includes Storm2, Storm3 and Storm4) during the Covid pandemic in August 2020 as employee number 13 and was thrown into the deep end. In this episode, Chelcie opens up about her own onboarding in a high-growth business, the support she was given to enable her to succeed and what she prioritised in terms of marketing activity. Chelcie says this is her dream job and it really comes across well in this episode. Let us know what you think. Paiger, always there for us in supporting the podcast and the community. Thanks as always.

Ep 84 | Like warm apple pie. Kathy Walker from McGregor Boyall

Ep 84 | Like warm apple pie. Kathy Walker from McGregor Boyall

Diving into a career that is approaching 20 years, Kathy joins us to speak through what she has learnt in the world of recruitment marketing over that time. What's changed? What hasn't? And what's coming?

Kathy has helped rebrand a 35-year old IT recruitment business to feel current and modern, and chats through how 'breaking out of the bubble' of the sector has helped her in her career. We discuss the importance of automation in the coming years and why companies need to have a real focus on their CSR initiatives that come from somewhere genuine, not just a box-ticking exercise.

Yep, there is American Pie chat as well.

Cheers Paiger, as always. Enjoy.

Ep 83 | What makes a good washing machine? Rob Prince from Talent Nexus.

Ep 83 | What makes a good washing machine? Rob Prince from Talent Nexus.

Not really. We talk about job boards and the strategy recruitment marketers can apply to a) get the best deal and b) increase levels of ROI.

When Covid hit, many recruitment businesses were scrambling around trying to cut costs and job boards would have been one of the first things looked at. As we now enter a period of stability (fingers crossed), we can be more scientific in our approach to the use of job boards. There is tech, processes and wider industry changes that can help you get more bang for your buck.

If you need a new way of thinking about your job board spend (maybe freeing up some budget to do more 'exciting' stuff) then jump into this episode and give it a listen.

Oh, and we talk about washing machines. That's what you paid up to sponsor, wasn't it Paiger?

Ep 82 | Oh look, another nerd. Paul Caudell from The Consultancy Group.

Ep 82 | Oh look, another nerd. Paul Caudell from The Consultancy Group.

Recruitment marketing careers can take very different routes and start in very different ways. Paul joins us to talk about his career which saw him 'blag' his way into his first job before spending 12 years in a business before it was bought to where he is now at The Consultancy Group. Paul started purely focused on 'internet marketing' which really meant PPC and SEO but evolved into a fully round marketing specialist who has embarked on multiple websites and branding projects.

He shares his experiences and tips around these activities as well as outlining the benefits, and pitfalls of trying to be a 'fixer' and doing everything for everyone.

A real 'career' episode that people at all levels will be able to relate to.

Cheers Paiger as always for your support of the podcast and the community.

Ep 81 | Out of 10, I'd give you....? Chris Almond from Sourcr.

Ep 81 | Out of 10, I'd give you....? Chris Almond from Sourcr.

The co-founder of Sourcr, Chris Almond, joins us to talk about reputation management. It's more than just pat on the backs and easy social media posts with five stars. Reputation management should inform your marketing strategy and act as a catalyst for new content approaches.

But why is it important?

We discuss why working in an industry that by its very nature has a very high level of rejection (and negativity), it's essential to pay attention to the experience of our audiences more than most.

Continued fist pumps and clinks of beer glasses to the team at Paiger for supporting us.

Ep 80 | Own it. Richard Williams from Austin Fraser.

Ep 80 | Own it. Richard Williams from Austin Fraser.

Austin Fraser are one of the few recruitment businesses that have adopted a 'RevOps' function. We are joined by their Head of Marketing, Richard Williams to discuss how marketing fits into this structure. Also, as a multi-brand and multi-location business, we tackle the age-old conundrum of balancing time and resources whilst delivering results.

Richard's approach and outlook to marketing is one that we can learn a lot from. Balancing process and creativity, blending purpose and data to achieve results is a blueprint as to what a future marketing function in recruitment could look like.

Thank you to Paiger for their continued support of the podcast and the entire Lonely Marketers community.

Ep 79 | Pretty Fly(wheel). James Whitelock from ThinkInCircles.

We've all heard of the marketing funnel, but have you heard of the flywheel? James joins us to talk about this concept that you're probably already doing without realising it. It's based around the three ideas of 'Attract', 'Engage' and 'Delight' and if you can bring some process and structure to it we think you'll see your results fly (yes, we went there).

We also touch on how marketers can approach selling new methodology upwards in your recruitment business and how our industry could really benefit from adopting a customer success approach like many product-based companies.

Ep 78 | Are we human or are we dancer? Katrina Collier from The Searchologist.

Ep 78 | Are we human or are we dancer? Katrina Collier from The Searchologist.

Why do we struggle so much to be ourselves? 'Being human' is a concept us marketers have been pushing for a while now but we still don't seem to have nailed it yet. In this episode, we are joined by Katrina Collier who is a published author of The Robot-Proof Recruiter which talks about how tech really isn't going to take over our world.

If you're trying to make your marketing approach and tactics more relatable as well as attempting your recruiters to take a similar approach then this is a fun and insightful listen. Utilising purpose, empathy and other 'human' levers in your marketing makes commercial sense. And it's the right thing to do.

Thanks again Paiger for your ever-continued support to bring this podcast to the masses.
