Mistakes are usually associated with failure, with having done things wrong, yet, without them we wouldn't grow! Mistakes keep us moving towards the direction we envision, and with awareness and curiosity we can turn them into great allies. They actually are our path to success.

No one is going to rescue you...

No one is going to rescue you...

We have all wished at some point in our lives that someone rescues us from our pain, our sorrows, or even our mistakes. And we wait and wait, until we realise that we are the ones who rescue ourselves. We do it as we take charge and responsibility for our decisions, for our actions or inactions. We are the ones who make things happen. It’s taking action that moves us from stagnation and that helps us change life as we know it.


The question is, will you be your own rescuer? Your own "empowerer"?

What I learnt from Eckhart Tolle...

Last Saturday I had the chance, perhaps a once in a lifetime chance, of seeing Eckhart Tolle live in Sydney. And to summarise it, it was an experience of presence, of learning to be right here, right now. Nonetheless, the teacher's pet in me (haha) had to take notes, mainly because some of those nuggets of wisdom need to keep living, and because perhaps they are what you need to hear today to support you in your journey of remembering. I trust they will help you remember your truth, and bring some value to your day.

Thank you for being here! I've been receiving some feedback about people looking for practical exercises to be able to relax and calm the mind. And so, that got me thinking, why don't I share some with you here, in the podcast? Right?? ;)

So, from today, I'll be posting a 10-15min Breathing exercise every month, accompanied with some sound therapy to help you wind down, or simply make a recharging stop during the day. I have called them the 'Breath & Sound Series' which will be a part of the normal 'The Love Approach Project Podcast'.

Pamela also explains a bit about the concepts of health and illness from a Chinese medicine point of view and talks about the importance of self-responsibility when it comes to taking care of our health.

However, the most empowering part of today’s interview are the DIY exercises for managing pain, stress and fatigue that Pamela generously shares with us. These exercises are an amazing tool that can be used wherever you are, whenever you need them. On awareness & emotions

Sometimes we can be prey to our emotions. More specifically, to our emotional reactions. We swing like a pendulum between the highs and the lows of our emotions, and we just simply don’t have control over them. This can actually cause a lot of stress in us, and can lead to feeling powerless and to have poor interactions and relationships with others. In a nutshell, we become unreliable, nobody (not even us!) know how we are going to feel or react at a particular time.

The problem is that if continue down this path of unconsciousness, we will never feel at ease, or at peace, and we will spend our life blaming others for how ‘they make us feel’. However, we can change that. We can take charge of our lives, and it can all start with practicing AWARENESS. And that’s my invitation for you today!

The power of curiosity

The path of getting to know ourselves deeply can be tricky sometimes. Mainly because there are many things about us that we don’t want to see or acknowledge. And I get it, it can be tough to realise that we are not as nice as we think, or that we have amazing qualities we are afraid to show and bring to the world.

So, this is when curiosity comes into place. Why? Well, because we can use it as a tool to explore more of who we are, and dive into the depths of our behaviour and patterns of thought from a slightly detached place, where we go with an open mind instead of a judgemental one. Curiosity is the gentle key that opens the doors to growth and healing within. It’s a powerful tool for transformation. So, what do say? Are you ready to use it? ;)

Why self-care is important

Self-care can take different shapes and forms for each one of us. We are, at the end of day, all different, and we experience the world and our life in different ways. What I find fascinating, is that we ALWAYS know what we need in order to take care of ourselves, and yet, most of the time we fail to take action and provide that for us. The result: we end up sick, unwell, overwhelmed, stressed out, among other things.

So, I think it’s safe to say that self-care is an important piece in the puzzle of our health and of living a harmonious life. Don’t you think?

What would it take for you to start doing what your whole being is asking for?

In this short episode I would like to invite you to pay close attention to self-care as a way of building trust in yourself and of ‘filling your own love cup’, so that you don’t depend on others to fill it up, and instead become a contributor to this world.

Three powerful ways to start building trust in yourself

Trusting ourselves can be one of the most courageous things we can do. Why? Because in order to trust ourselves we must take the risk of following our intuition, of keeping our promises and of being there, by our side, when things are going great.

However, most of us don’t even know where to start when it comes trusting, both in us and in others. Our self-talk is loaded with expressions such as “ I can’t do it”, “I wouldn’t trust myself”, never ending “I don’t knows” and much more!, leading us to outsource our life decisions (and fulfilment) to others. We basically end up giving our power away.

So, reclaiming trust in ourselves is key in order for us to live to our fullest potential and stepping away from fear. It’s the opportunity to see ourselves again for the amazing and powerful beings we are.

In this episode I would like to share with you three simple ways in which you can start strengthening your self-trust muscle and little by little experiencing the benefits of knowing that you have your back!

How to accept where we are right now

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. -Reinhold Niebuhr

Sometimes we get stuck and ruminate on everything we can’t change. We resist the situations that we don’t like or that make us feel uncomfortable, or we simply run away from them. We just can’t accept. What we don’t realise is that by doing this, we are actually creating stress in our body and mind, and of course a lot emotional and even physical pain.

However, we ALWAYS have the opportunity to practice acceptance, and in this way, open the gateways for present and past situations to show us their gifts, to help us see that everything that happens in our life has a purpose, that nothings happens by chance. Acceptance, when practiced consciously, becomes the key that opens the doors of possibility and growth.

In this episode I share with you four simple ideas (or invitations) that you can start using straight away to bring more acceptance into your life, no matter what you are going through. I hope they help you remember that within you lies the power of surrendering and of creating change in your life when you are willing to accept what you cannot change.

Challenge... oh boy! We can have a rocky relationship with it, but when we face it from the perspective of growth, then it becomes a need, rather than something to avoid. 

However, most of us are not aware of how we deal with challenges, obstacles and uncertainty in our lives. And that lack of awareness, can lead us to destructive behaviours that keeps us stuck. 

In this episode I share with you a bit of my experience and insights about being challenged and tested, especially after a month of preparation for my virtual summit 'Love in times of uncertainty'.

We are so intertwined with nature and the whole of creation that sometimes we forget we are part of it! We are part of the whole, and what happens within us is a reflection of the outside, and vice versa. However, it is time to remember this connection! Because in this remembering lies the key to our health & happiness.

In the first part of this interview with Julia Pomazkina, Ayurvedic practitioner & herbalist based in Sydney, where she runs her clinic Sunrise Ayurveda, we chat about some of the Ayurvedic principles, and in particular we talk about the theory of the five elements, these being ether, air, water, fire and earth and how our innate constitution is intimately related to them. We also get to learn more about what happens when there is an imbalance and the effects of that in our health.

We will go deeper into how Ayurveda can support us during periods of stress and anxiety in the second part of this interview next week! So, stay tuned!!

Her name is Alison Morris, she is the founder of Alasana Hypnotherapy and Yoga here in Sydney; she is also a certified master practitioner of Hypnotherapy, a master practitioner of NLP, master practitioner of Timeline Transformations, a Life coach, and a yoga teacher. In today’s interview, Alison shares with us her story of transformation, and how this led her to become a Hypnotherapist. We dive into the role of the subconscious mind and how we can influence it positively with this powerful therapy. We also talk about the root cause of what we perceive as issues, and the fact that we can take control of our life, by creating a solid foundation for long lasting change!

You are the help we've been waiting for!

In the last episode we talked about how we must all grieve the world that is gone in a conscious way, and how by doing that, by coming to a place of acceptance, we can move on and take proper action. Today, I would like to talk to you about something that moves me deeply, and that is, becoming an active agent of transformation in our world, because it is time we take responsibility for our role as creators, and start creating more of what we want to see in this new world, the one that is just starting!

In today’s episode I share with you a paragraph from the book “A Return to Love” by Marianne Williamson, and would love to leave it here for you, mainly because it’s the inspiration for today’s talk. So here it is:

“We weren’t just randomly thrown onto a sea of rocks. We have a mission -to save the world through the power of love. The world needs healing desperately, like a bird with a broken wing. People know this, and millions have prayed.

God heard us. He sent help. He sent you.”

Accepting a changing world!

Accepting a changing world!

Yes, our world is changing, and quite rapidly. And for many of us, including myself, it felt as a bit of a shock. However, it is in bringing awareness to the emotions that are arising what will help us move into acceptance, and step into the New World with fresh eyes, with the feet on the ground and in the present, and ready to take on the new opportunities.

As the world we knew does not exist anymore, we must grieve it consciously, so that we can move on and also become positive change agents for the world that is forming at the moment. In this episode I share with you a few strategies we can start with so that this process is easier, more resourceful and of benefit to all!

Love in times of uncertainty

Uncertainty is part of our daily life. Yet, it seems that right now it’s looking at us right in the eye. And so, we are being called to learn to accept it (for once and for all! :P ), and to navigate it with a perspective that support us, instead of one that throws us into fear, worry and despair.

It’s time for us to make use of our power of choice. Yes. That power that allows to choose how we feel about everything that happens in life, and of giving meaning to the different situations we are exposed to. It's time we become responsible for our decisions, and most importantly, it’s time we start living from the heart.

We have one of the greatest opportunities to learn about love: for ourselves, for others, for the whole of creation. Are you going to take it? Are you willing to change your perception? Remember, it's is never too late to start a new, and perhaps, this is the right time.

The importance of making time to relax

One of the things I hear consistently is: “I am not able to relax, or “I can’t ‘stop’ my mind when I actually want to relax”. This is natural, especially if we have been teaching our mind to run fast, to multitask, and to never slow down. The thing is that when we make a habit of this, we usually tend to crash, and this can feel like anxiety, burn out, depression, dis-ease, among other things. However, we have the power of changing this. We have the power of bringing awareness to what’s not working well, and of going into the tool-box (that we all have) of what we already know, to help us create a habit of stopping, slowing down and relaxing. We also have the power of learning new tools to support us, of finding the right environment to nurture ourselves, and of letting go of habits, people & beliefs that no longer serve us.

It’s time we make our priorities right. We cannot expect the world outside us change, if we are not willing to look within, to take care of ourselves, and, from that place, make an impact in this world.

In this episode I leave you with two exercises you can start doing right away, to bring awareness to how you can start helping yourself slow down, and make time for you!

Compassion, juts like LOVE, cannot really be defined by words. We can have an idea of what it is, but it’s only when we start consciously developing it in our hearts that we get it! And when we do this, when we practice it, our inner and outer world changes for the better!

It was by being in his presence when I finally comprehended what compassion really is, and of the ability we all have to develop it. I learnt that compassion goes beyond feeling sorry for someone else, and it steps more into the realm of detachment, releasing suffering, acceptance and kindness, leading us, ultimately, to open our hearts to experience LOVE for ourselves and for others.

So, when Lama Tendar said yes to being interviewed, I wanted to ask him about this topic, I wanted us to chat about compassion, so that you may experience this too. I invite you to listen to this interview a few times, as there is a message that goes beyond the spoken words.

In times of crisis we are called to step up, and move from fear into LOVE. We are called to raise in awareness, to elevate our consciousness and our frequency, and to connect once again, with one another, and with the whole of creation. We are called to LOVE.

I know that sometimes we can fall into patterns of fear, such as resistance of what’s happening, judgement of others, blame, anger, feeling powerless, among other things, and even though it’s natural to feel this way, it is our duty to break the pattern and take positive action. Action that can create a ripple effect, not only here in Australia, but around the world and beyond.

We are powerful beings, and our hearts are very wise, we know the way already! So, how can we help?
