Live your heart out: sharing the best advice from Season 1
What a ride! 1-year ago I wanted to share the inspiring stories of people I knew who decided to live a life according to their personal rules and standards. Through their stories, I can believe that everything is possible and that people will find a way to accomplish what their heart desires. A year ago, I wanted to do this in the best way I knew how and in a way that respected my guest's stories and allowed them to author their own tales to each person who listened, and so, @the mad chatter podcast was born. To celebrate the end of Season 1, I took my favourite key learnings and put them together for you. I hope there is some wisdom that resonates with you.
To everyone who has listened to any moment of these episodes, thank you. Thanks for taking the journey with us, I look forward to what stories Season 2 brings.

Cancer before 40: Stop living a deferred life
In this episode, I speak with my sister Cindy who alongside our eldest sister Stephanie were diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in 2017. Thankfully to a genetic test, doctors were able to catch the cancer early but both sisters underwent surgery to remove their breasts and ovaries and had both went through chemotherapy treatments. Cindy by coincidence was also the same age that our mother had been when she was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer and we were just children. We chat about her views on most people living a “deferred life of maybes, one day and some time”, on what she remembers from our mother’s cancer diagnosis and finally on the value of self-care. Here is her story.

Dollars and debt: making money work
Most importantly, listen to what Jeffrey says is critical in shaping your relationship with money (hint: it's about knowing yourself, knowing your purpose, and knowing how to be grateful to those who came before you).
*NB: the rule of 72 which Jeffrey refers to in this talk is a formula used to determine how long it will take an investment to double.
