Episode 13: Eyes Are the Window to the Soul
Join us as we chat with Dr. Beth Knighton about all things eyes (kids' eyes).
Dr. Knighton received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She completed a Pediatric Optometry residency at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was trained in pediatric eye disease and working with patients who have special needs. She joined the faculty at University of Houston College of Optometry and enjoyed working with students and residents in the pediatric clinics. While in Houston, Dr. Knighton treated patients at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR), a rehabilitation hospital for patients with severe brain injuries. In 2012, Dr. Knighton earned her fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Knighton grew up in Clearwater, Florida and currently lives in Tampa with her husband, two children and two Labradors. She enjoys sailing, visiting playgrounds and hiking with her family, and doing DIY projects around the house. Super fun and cool fact:: She is a DIY pro!!!! @an_eye_for_diy
